Great place to relax and see the Dingle Peninsula. Right in the middle of a sheep farm with fantastic view! Quick drive to Dingle and local beaches and pubs. Would recommend

Mary and Michael were very pleasant and helpful hosts. They were always available if needed. The residence is a very comfortable dwelling on a hillside amongst sheep with a great view of the Dingle Pass.
A short distance from Dingle, but near pubs in Cloghane and Brandon, and beaches.
Wifi was good, bed was comfortable, and kitchen had all the necessary utensils.
Cosy cottage in a marvellous scenery, far away from any hectic rush, but has everything to relax and enjoy. Helpful owners at any time. We couldn't think of any better place to be!
Thanks for everything.
My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights while we explored the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. We loved it! It was very rural, which was so nice. We fell in love with the lambs - I wanted to take one home! Thanks so much to Mary for her hospitality.
Jerry's Cottage is in a place, which must surely be, one of Europe's most stunning locations. Despite being in such an off grid location the Cottage was cozy and warm, in October we did not experience any sort of power failure.
Absolutely amazing ever changing landscapes to be seen right outside the property.
Travel around the Dingle Peninsula and you will find even more beautiful experiences.
Absolutely fantastic stay at Jerry's cottage. Location is perfect for a quiet stay with great views. The property itself was lovely and well kitted out with everything we needed.
Mary and Mike were extremely friendly and welcoming.
We had such a great time exploring a lovely part of the world and we'll almost certainly be back!
Wonderful place only sounds are birds, sheep and water
Most things you'd need if you want to cook, great kitchen and sitting out doors is good, compfy beds. Brilliant local shop sells really good food and plenty of good restaurants. Local music no need to go anywhere if you don't want to but magical places to visit if you do. The best thing is to keep the secret and go out of season.
My family and I stayed at Jerry's Cottage for a week over Christmas. We really enjoyed our stay and the view from the cottage was beautiful. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and warm and easily accommodated our family of five. The living was warm and cosy especially with the fire lighting on the darker evenings. Our favourite part was eating breakfast in the kitchen while enjoying the view of the mountains and taking walks on the quiet road. This house is close to Tralee and Dingle which has great activities for kids, our favorites being the aquarium and aquadome. Overall a great place to stay and a great location.
The house is gorgeous with its many bedrooms and nice and modern furniture. The very best is the terriffic view on the mountains and the sea and of course the sheep. The host is very friendly and gave us a detailed introduction at the beginning. There were even games for the kids. We fell in love with this house from the first second that we saw it.
I had a lovely time staying at Jerry's Cottage. Mary is a lovely host who provided delicious cakes and homemade bread.
The cottage is beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious and the cottage has all the amenities needed for a long or short stay (including the interesting neighbours, i.e. sheep).
You're about a 20 minute stroll from the village of Cloghane which has a pub and local well stocked shop and there are many sandy beaches which are a short drive away too.
I would definitely recommend staying here and I hope to visit again in the near future.
2 weeks absolute quietness, just the sheep mowing, occasionally some dogs barking, and a breathtaking view out of the windows: this tranquility combined with the cosily furnished cottage with its open fire, everything you need to cook and feel at home, and plenty of space for everyone, made for a unique time. Mary is a wonderful hostess, we were delighted with the delicious home-baked bread and scones and her many good tips for walks. We particularly enjoyed the community of locals who meet weekly for music and storytelling: thanks to Mary's hospitality and the locals, we immediately felt at home! Thank you for this wonderful time!

I stayed at Jerry's Cottage for 2 weeks, one week with my sisters and one week solo. We all loved the cottage: the amazing vistas in all directions, and the fun of finding ourselves in the midst of a working sheep farm. Being there in lambing season was a bonus. The cottage is ideally situated to explore the incredible Dingle peninsula, and also to explore further afield (Killarney, Ring of Kerry). Or you can stay closer to home, where there is an endless variety of walk and hikes available, which Mary and Mike will be only too happy to tell you about. They are wonderful hosts whose love for the area and for the property itself is evident. They are also extremely warm, welcoming, kind and engaging. The cottage is very comfortable and spacious, with nice amenities and light-filled spaces. It feels like a home away from home. Whether as a base camp or a place to escape to, this is a lovely place in an idyllic setting.
The cottage, situated on a hill bordered by sheep and their lambs, was like entering a world beyond time, filled with natural beauty and quiet peace. We were warmly welcomed by Mary and her husband Michael, and shown through a bright and comfortable home that reflected the memories of a farm life and pride in their family. I fell in love immediately, and it just got better when we joined our hosts at the local pub the next evening, and got a chance to see what a close-knit community we shared for too few days. Everyone we met made us feel welcome, shared stories, songs, and a bit of history. Cloghane is a truly remarkable place: it's natural beauty, long history and warm-hearted neighbors will remain with me forever. With thanks to the Murphy's (and perhaps St. Brendan) who brought me, my husband and granddaughter to just the right place!
Myself and a friend stayed here for a week in July. What an amazing place, everything is perfect. The pictures don't do it justice!
The cottage is beautiful, the surroundings are breathtaking and it is incredibly peaceful. Exactly what was needed! Couldn't wait to get back here to relax every day after exploring the peninsula or visiting Tralee or Killarney.
We arrived quite late on our first day (it's a long oul drive from Belfast but well worth it) and we hadn't bought any food for dinner but Mary got us sorted with the local pub for a takeaway (which was really good) and then called by the pub while we were waiting for our food to give us milk (which we also hadn't brought!) You are an absolute star!
This was my first visit to West Kerry but it certainly won't be the last. Such a beautiful part of the country and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
This is perfection. I missed it as soon as I left.
Thanks so much for everything. I hope to see you again in the near future!
We had a peaceful stay at the farmhouse amongst the sounds of sheep and wind. One could almost imagine having taken a step back in time to when life was much simpler. The cottage was comfortable and has all the amenities, but at the same time it gives you a taste of a life as it has been lived in this area for generations. In a sense a true Irish experience. The location is remote but fairly easily accessible and central for everything on the Dingle Peninsula. It is a great place to be to really get to know this part of Ireland. Maire, the host, adds to this. Having grown up at this very cottage and lived in the area all her life, she is a invaluable resource, and she makes herself available. You won't find any better local knowledge for everything from hikes to history - where to go and what to do.
We greatly enjoyed our stay and, given the connection we felt to the cottage, Maire, and the region, we have left there leaving a piece of ourselves behind. If you're interested in the authentic Ireland, and staying comfortably in a beautiful and somewhat wild rural setting, then this is probably for you. We certainly want to return.
Mike and I are both local to the Cloghane/Brandon area and live a few miles from Jerryâs cottage .Mike grew up in Murphys bar Brandon and this cottage was my family home .Mike is a retired deep-sea fisherman. He fishes for pleasure in Brandon bay during the Summer months catching lobster , crab and mackerel . I am a retired teacher and during my career introduced many children to local history, flora and knowledge of the great outdoors in this locality. We have four in family , two boys and two girls .
Jerryâs cottage is my family home, where I spent my childhood years growing up on the family farm with my parents , brothers and sisters. It is a very special place for me as it holds many memories of years gone by. It was here I developed a passion and knowledge of the great outdoors . This cottage is 60 years old but recently renovated to a high standard while maintaining its original design . It is bright and cheerfully decorated in calming neutral tones, an idyllic spot for a relaxing vacation.
Relax over breakfast or dinner with breathtaking views of the mountains and valley as you sit at the dining table ,listen to the lambs bleating in the field next door or observe our friendly robin outside the patio door .Relax by the front or gable patio , listen to the birds singing , the lambs bleating and absorb the peace and tranquility or take a stroll along a country lane âŠ.. a world apart .
