Cozy, romantic getaway equipped with everything you need to stay in, with views of scenic mountains and farmlands, or get out and enjoy the beautiful Shenandoah Valley attractions that are all just a short drive away. Conveniently located 3 minutes (2.5 miles) from public river access. YFI. There is a ring doorbell camera in use at the entrance door.
Our stay at the whippoorwill nest was fantastic! We had everything we needed and then some. The view was beautiful and the home was cozy and comfortable. There were friendly animals that stopped in for visits ( 2 cats, 2 hens, 1 rooster and a turkey) none were bothersome at all and i enjoyed watching them out in the field from the window. I will definitely keep this place in mind for next time i travel to the area. Two thumbs up for sure!
Lovely little cabin. Bed was super comfy. Had a great stay met a little black cat on the deck. Was so nice to get away in the piece and quite and enjoy the stars you canât see in the city.
Kenneth was an incredible host. Very clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Responsive to any and all needs we had. Incredible property that is well maintained and orderly. Beautiful views. All in all an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone looking to get away.
A cozy little place with a very nice bed and gorgeous views! The fire pit is great for evening relaxation. We met some of the local turkeys, cats and chickens while watching the sun come up. Hiking was, of course, amazing in the area, and all of the caverns are such a wild and awe-inspiring experience. I expect we will be back!
The cabin was very nice and private. A little farther from SNP than expected. VRBO lists it as Lurey while itâs really a Shenandoah address. Appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of the house.
This is a great little cabin in the Shenandoah! It was clean and cozy and, as a woman traveling alone, was remote enough to feel like a getaway without feeling too isolated. Definitely recommend!
A perfect place for someone vacationing alone or for a couple. Its cozy and pretty quiet, and its close enough to Shenandoah Park thats its not really a slog to get anywhere. Overall a great place for anyone looking to explore the Shenandoah region.
Overall it was an excellent stay! Very cleanly and cute place. Had everything we needed provided for linens and kitchen supplies! Very nice views of the mountains and not too far of a drive for all the activities in the area. Only thing we had an issues with was a hornets nest is the outdoor pergola. But other than that it was perfect! Recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.
