A charming traditional Landes style chalet with 3 large bedrooms, sleeping up to 7 guests. There is a swimming pool to the rear, with sun deck, a fully enclosed garden suitable for pets and secure off road parking for several vehicles. Ideally located just a short walk from the beach and vibrant town centre, with a host of shops, restaurants and bars.

Lacanau Ocean is a lively coastal resort 40Km west of Bordeaux and is popular with surfers and water sports enthusiasts, lovers of cycling, the forests and nature. There are dozens of surf schools where you can hire surfing equipment and join surfing classes. The beach is of fine golden sand and stretches for miles in both directions, with several safe areas with lifeguards. Lacanau Ocean hosts a round of the international surfing championship during August and the town is simply buzzing with beach sports, live music and entertainment. There is a long promenade along the seafront ideal for taking an evening stroll and enjoying the spectacular sunset, or a drink at one of the numerous beach bars. Just behind the promenade there is an entertainments zone which has live music and street performers throughout the summer. You will find a wide choice of restaurants, takeaway food outlets, bars and shops around the town centre and there are 2 main supermarkets, a Carrefour Contact and Super U Express, plus many artisan food retailers and boulangeries. There is also a large street market on Wednesdays where you can find lovely local produce on sale. Lacanau Ocean is surrounded by miles of pine forest with well maintained cycle routes throughout and not far away is the huge fresh water Lacanau lake, ideal for young children. There are many places to hire bikes either just for the day or for the duration of your stay.

Our house is located approximately 500m back from the seafront and start of the town centre, so once there you can leave your car on the drive and walk or cycle everywhere. Accommodating up to 7 guests the house has 3 good sized bedrooms, a family bath/shower room, separate toilet, lounge diner, kitchen and utility room.

Bedroom 1 to the front has a double bed, built in wardrobe, chest of draws and bedside cabinets.
Bedroom 2 has two single beds, which can be moved together to make a king size double, built in double wardrobe and shelves, bedside cabinets.
Bedroom 3 to the rear has 3 single beds, built in wardrobes and shelves and bedside cabinets.

Family bathroom with a full size bath tub and powerful shower over, a hand basin and bidet. There is a large storage cabinet with space for personal items and also contains a digital safe. There is a separate toilet room.

The lounge/dining room is to the front of the house and has a dining table and chairs for 8. The lounge sitting area is arranged around the the open fireplace and media centre with satellite TV, Firestick, DVD and Zeppelin sound bar with IPod connection. The Lounge opens on to the shaded front terrace and provides an ideal place to relax out of the sun.

The well equipped kitchen is to the rear of the property and has a gas cooker and hob, plus a second electric rotisserie oven and grill, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, fridge and all the cutlery, crockery, pots and pans you will need. Off the kitchen is a utility room with large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, another storage cabinet with microwave oven, lots of glass ware, children's crockery and other essential household appliances.

Opening from the kitchen to the rear of the house is a level decked outside dining area with gazebo and stone BBQ, with steps leading up to the 8m x 4m swimming pool terrace and sun deck with sun loungers and parasol. The garden and pool terrace are surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, so there is ample shade if required. There is secure parking for one car on the gated drive and free on road parking to the front of the property.

Broadband internet is provided free of charge via a 5G mobile hub which deliver speeds of up to 100mbs.

We welcome guests with well behaved pets on the understanding that responsibility will be taken by the guest to clear up afterwards.

Our property is available to rent by the week only, with change over day on Saturday, due to the need to pre-book cleaning contractors. Bed linen and bathroom towels are also provided, included in the price.
