Welcome to Truth or Deer. We have all you need to enjoy anything from a short weekend getaway to a full stay of a week if you like! We offer everything you could want or need while on a trip away from home.
This third floor unit has a beautiful view over looking the Deschutes River that runs through central Oregon. This unit offers a King-Sized bed in the bedroom, and a queen Murphy Bed in the Living Room, for a total of 4 guests staying. The private bedroom offers their own king sized bed and bath, and then the main area has a Murphy bed that can fold up into the wall for more space if need be. This unit will also offer a beautiful fireplace to keep you cozy and warm on those snowy winter nights. Plus there is a full kitchen at your disposal for the Rachel Ray or Gordon Ramsey of your group!
All of our guests will also have access to a heated indoor pool and hot tub. This is a pet friendly room. We allow a maximum of two pets and collect a pet fee of $50 per pet separately after you make your reservation. In this unit you will find your own private washer and dyer, this is one of three condos on property that offers this exclusive luxury!
This was a perfect place to stay with our dog. The view of the river is fabulous and we walked every day on the beautiful Dechutes River Path. The room was great. We had everything we needed. At first it was a bit confusing because the rooms are listed as two rooms. This is because they were old rooms that were combined and remodeled as one. The front desk was very helpful. They have a fenced, barked, dog yard that is well kept. Of course there are parks within an easy walk as well as the downtown area. We would definitely stay there again.
Slight order every time we walked in to the hallway entry and unit but quickly disappeared. Perfect location to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view of the Deschutes River up close. Less than a mile from downtown Bend. Had everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable. 2 separate queen bedrooms. Only wish I could have gotten the ac down a couple more degrees below 69. Would rent there again.
Great location within walking distance to downtown. The unit is clean and spacious. Note that it is on the third floor and from what we could tell there is no elevator so be prepared to use stairs. The view from the balcony is great! If you plan to enjoy it at night there is a light pole directly in front of the balcony which we found to be pretty bright. I made a suggestion to the front office when we left and hopefully they will do something to help with that issue. Overall, a great place to stay that I will recommend to friends and stay again myself when we return to Bend.
This was a great little place for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary! The weather was perfect for walking anywhere downtown (about 20-30 min walk) and the condo was well maintained and clean. We didnt have any issues during our stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.
This place had everything we had hoped for....view and sounds of the river, spaceous living room and acomfortable bed. It was walking distance to downtown. We will be back!
The property is in a great location however the unit (kitchen and bathrooms) are quite dated. The hall bathroom lock does not work and hot water runs cold after 5 minutes. Cleanliness could be better, carpet has stains and master shower was not clean.
Great location, close walk to downtown Bend, river view
I stayed here with my 2 friends, and we had a great time! The complex is a bit outdated, but it was worth it for the great location with a few minute walk to downtown Bend and a beautiful river view! We agreed we would all stay here again!
The location was great. Right next to walking/bike path. We rented bikes from Project Bend and rode everywhere. The only annoying issue was that there was no smart TV, not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice for a quiet evening after super busy and active day!
Amazing view of river and just steps away from path that follows the river. Washer and dryer was a plus. Steps to third floor was a bit of a workout at check in after a long day of driving. Older property but interior of condo was in good shape.
We loved almost everything about this property! The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well-stocked, the furniture was comfortable and adequate for our needs, and the river view plus location near downtown can't be beat! We also no appreciated the washer/dryer in the unit and easy parking. The owners were very thoughtful and responsive to our needs and questions.I really would give the unit an overall rating of 4.5 stars if possible. Our only concerns were the lack of space to put our clothes - only one working closet bar for coats and anything else, which wasn't much for a week-long winter stay for 3 people. (The other wardrobe space in the bedroom was missing a closet bar) and the unit did not have enough hot water for even two of us to take quick showers in a row. Also, the management of the overall grounds (not the VRBO owner) does not take good care of the pool hot tub area. The hot tub water was discolored and smelled a bit like gas. It was quite disappointing because we'd been looking forward to that feature of the unit but after 5 minutes in the water we were disgusted and went to shower off.
We spent three nights at Truth or Deer. Beautiful view of the river from the balcony. Plenty of room and amenities in the unit (two full bathrooms!!!). River walk access just steps from the unit. Check in and check out was super easy!
Hope to be back someday soon!!
Overall, this spot was perfect for our needs staying in town for a concert. There were a few spots that could use some work (front door jammed, some dated appliances etc.) but it worked well for what we needed. Great location near the river walk, it was a long walk to the concert in Old Mill but we did it both ways. Would probably stay again!
