Pioneer Cabin was built in 1865 and was relocated from the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church property in 2018. The cozy cabin accommodates 2 people comfortably with a queen size bed, a large bathroom and a nicely stocked kitchenette with microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator and toaster oven. The cabin is decorated with period antiques while providing all the modern comforts. Wi-fi and a streaming TV are provided inside for staying in touch with the world. The outdoor firepit, patio seating and grill allow for enjoying the private yard space. Please note that the driveway is shared access between Pioneer Haus at the front of the property and Pioneer Cabin at the back of the driveway. There is a fence with a gate to provide privacy between the two units. The property is directly across the street from the Pioneer Museum and also across the street from St. Mary's Catholic Church making it very convenient for anyone attending events at either of these popular destinations. Pioneer Cabin is very walkable to all of Main Street with a myriad of restaurants, shops and event venues. One block to Main Street means you can park your car on property and never have to look for a parking space in town! Have dinner at one of the many restaurants and enjoy an easy stroll home. Back at the cabin, luxuriate in the top tier linens on the comfortable bed.
This cabin was just what we needed for some Rest and Relaxation! It was close to everything we wanted to be close too but far enough away to enjoy some peace. Weâll stay here again!!

The cabin was perfect size for us 2. It was clean and had an easy check in. The bed was so comfortable, shower was roomy and had a nice sitting area outside. Very relaxing and quiet. Location was great, a block from main. Close to restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again!!
This charming cabin was absolutely perfect for our Fredericksburg stay! It is located centrally in the Historic District, so we were able to walk to many of our desired attractions and restaurants. We've already talked about booking again!
We had a great stay! Ownerâs communication was great and she was only a text away if we ever needed anything. Cabin is one block off main street and we were in the heart of downtown within a 5 minute walk. Another good note - the 290 wine shuttle picks up on that side of town and is only a 15 min walk from the house!
Cabin was super cute and clean! Perfect for a stay for two. Easy walking distance to many attractions and Main St. and great communication by owners. Would definitely stay again!
This was a cute cabin and had everything that we needed. So perfect for our quick weekend getaway! Enjoyed the outdoor area with the fire pit. Loved it! Would definitely consider this cute cabin for our next trip to Fredericksburg.

The cabin was a block off the main strip and so convenient to walk to dinner and shops. It was very private and cozy. The perfect cabin getaway that had everything we needed for a weekend trip!
My wife & I recently stayed here, and it was definitely âas advertisedâ. The cabin was well furnished, rustic, private & just a short walk to W Main St. The owner was very responsive & helped us gain entry remotely due to our late arrival. Definitely recommend!
The cabin was an easy 5 minute walk from downtown! It had all the amenities you need for a weekend trip Very clean and the check in process was easy. Would definitely recommend to anyone who asked!
The inside was great, very comfortable and just right for two. Would have liked the outside to be a little more cleaned up and maybe ready for an early evening fire in the pit. We did have some plumbing issues on our second day but nothing to ruin the stay. Easy access to everything around town. The management group was very responsive and gave us all the information and details we needed. I would stay here again.
Cabin was so cute, private, clean!
! Location was close to Main St.
Will definitely return!
Property Manager was over the top helpful.
I forgot 2 things in the cabin and she mailed to me!
Impressive!!!!
With long ties to Fredericksburg, Texas, the owner of this property is the Great-great grandchild of one of the early settlers of this historic town. Having sailed on the "Element" from Germany, he became one of the first school teachers while also making a living as a wine maker, inventor, furniture maker, composer and music teacher. Jacob Brodbeck was a true pioneer in many aspects. His wife, Christine was born in Germany and also immigrated to Texas with her family as a young girl.
We wanted to be closer to our roots in this historic town. We love the friendly atmosphere with so many fun events and activities to choose from. Everything is walkable from our location and we feel connected to the heart of the community here.
This cabin is unique in that you feel like you have stepped back in time and will truly immerse yourself in the pioneer spirit of early Texas and authentic Fredericksburg. Staying at Pioneer Cabin is diving into the culture and leaving with a greater understanding of the town and its early inhabitants and how they lived. Outside the cabin is the original windmill that pumped water for the family and also the water tower that held their precious water used for all daily tasks.
