The house was very spacious and had a very nice back yard and dock area! We had a great time with our whole family and our pups! The host was very kind, helpful, and always responsive! They even left us a hand written note and a Key Lime Pie!

The property was clean and in a great location. The dock provided a fun place to hang out for our morning coffee and to fish a little. Inside the home was a cool oasis on hot days. The kitchen is well stocked with essential cooking needs. Communication with Christy was easy and very quick. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Great Visit to Marathon

We spent a week in Marathon at this property. Located in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood we enjoyed the easy access to the property just a short distance off of US 1. The property was clean and as described in the listing.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything is as described in the pictures. It is located in a nice and quiet community with a few more vacation rentals nearby. Very private and easily accessible. Enjoyed fishing from the backyard. Highly recommended.

Awesome location & backyard

The location was great, the deep canal was awesome for our boats as well as paddle boarding and kayaking. The backyard was incredible, with a HUGE bonus of having the gazebo right next to the dock…a fabulous feature! Very peaceful area, with a lot of nature preserves around, so light pollution and noise were minimal. The kitchen could use a few items, including basic cleaning supplies and some of the furniture needs replaced, but just for aesthetics, everything was in great working order. The spaciousness of the property (inside and out) more than makes up for any negatives!!! Don’t hesitate to come to this property!

Great house in great location!

We had an amazing time! We fished right off the dock! At no fault of the owners, because who can help iguanas, but there is ALOT of iguana poo in the back yard. Not a huge deal for us but with itty bitty kids it could be gross! The house itself is exactly what you see in the pictures! The kitchen supplies could be replenished, no scissors,. All in all we had a great experience and would consider renting again.

Hi Evan, I appreciate your feedback, though I’m disappointed to hear you weren’t completely satisfied. As soon as you let me know about the stained sheet, I immediately refunded you $100 for the inconvenience and was ready to send my cleaners over right away. However, you mentioned that you had already found fresh sheets in the house and preferred for them to come the next morning, which we happily accommodated. Regarding the water situation, unfortunately, the Florida Keys are undergoing necessary infrastructure upgrades to support the growing demand. When the city conducts this type of work, they issue precautionary boil water notices, something common in many areas. As soon as I became aware, we personally delivered bottled water to ensure you had everything you needed. I always strive to provide the best experience possible, and my team worked quickly to address each concern. I truly hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable! Christy 😊

The location of the home is perfect, being within a short distance of shops/restaurants, and adventures. The only main issue that I had with our stay was that the house was not cool. After being out all day in the heat, you want to come home to a lovely, cold home. There is a window unit in the kitchen window to try to offset the heat in the house, and box fans in each room. However, with the Florida heat, the central unit was unable to keep up with the outside temperature. Making it uncomfortable at night. The home needs some TLC, with the main issue being the A/C. Overall, we made the best with what we were dealing with and had a great time.

Thanks for your feedback, Casey. I’m so glad you enjoyed the location and had a great time overall. I just want to clear up a couple of points for future guests. After you mentioned the AC, I kept an eye on the thermostat for the rest of your stay. The warmest reading was 75°F when set to 70°F, with outside temps between 84–89°F, right in the normal range HVAC techs recommend. The central AC is serviced every year and was running properly. The window unit in the kitchen isn’t there because the AC is broken, it’s a summer bonus! It helps keep that area cooler when the large sliding glass door is opened during the day (also the large glass windows in the kitchen with direct sun light 1/2 the day), and it’s great for guests who are cooking. Most guests actually tell me they love having it. Portable fans are in each bedroom closet for anyone who wants extra airflow, and most bedrooms also have ceiling fans. I always want my guests to be comfortable and I’m happy to fix anything right away. Thanks again for staying!
