Within a few kilometres you will find many shops, restaurants, cafes and many other tourist highlights. In the nearby surrounding (all in less than 10 minutes), Olhão with ferry to Culatra, Fuseta with private beach or ferries, Moncarapacho, Ria Formosa with pure nature.

Comfortable apartment for up to 4 persons
The bright and friendly holiday apartment has a large south and west facing terrace and a rooftop terrace. Both terraces are furnished and offer an open view of the beautiful grounds and the countryside. This is to have a place to let your souls dangle. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms one en-suite, a comfortable kitchen and a spacious living and dining area on about 80 m2. The terraces are accessible via large floor-standing patio doors and create a spacious living area together with the interior space. Fly screens, even in front of the large patio doors, make sure that the little pests stay outside and not spoil the holiday fun. The traditional lime and trowel plaster is painted with an organic clay colour. St. Catarina terracotta tiles of different formats make the flooring. The tiles are manufactured nearby (about 20 km away) in a traditional way. The floor is sealed with organic oil.
Outdoor life - on the spacious terraces
The terraces and grounds are maintained as a haven for idleness. Enjoying the silence, observing the shimmering heat in summer. The cicadas sing along. Cool drinks. Life can be stressful even in Casa Ria. Quiet and sunny day on the terrace, starry sky. The only thing that never goes on holiday often here is the sun. The mature trees give the large property a special atmosphere. Now starts the holiday. Verrrryyy slowly.
Too much sun? Then get under the pergola. The terraces are equipped with sufficient loungers, chairs and tables. For all seating there is padding. If that is not enough then there is plenty of seating with orange groves, almond trees, olive trees, Alfarubeiras and... For example, on the threshing floor of the old Quinta, the Eira. If you would like to get exercise, then there is a private petanque (boule) play area or the possibility to badminton. The game equipment is waiting for you.
Light & darkness
Many lamps and bulbs with almost as many switches make it inside and outside possible to produce many different lighting options.
On the other hand nobody has to think about exterior lighting for the entrance, courtyard and the Eira. These areas are connected by means of timers, so there is always sufficient outdoor lighting for early risers or also for those who come back home late.
Rejuvenating sleep - sweet dreams
The French bed 160 * 200 cm with a slatted frame is adjustable in hardness and comfort mattress supports a relaxing, peaceful sleep. Wake up refreshed and rested.
The mattresses are engineered to breathe well. The bedding is made of 100 % cotton. So just lie down and feel asleep with pleasant dreams. Wake up the next morning rested, refreshed and fit.
Single wall lamps, ceiling lamps and night lamps with switch take care of lighting. Windows with fly screens, electric blinds can be opened from the bed by remote control to let sun in or can also be closed to darken the room. High open wooden ceilings and excellent cross ventilation options ensure a comfortable climate indoors.
Bedroom I
Bedroom oriented to the southwest. Access to the terrace. The French bed measures 160 * 200 cm. Next to the bed there are two bedside tables made of granite surface for small utensils and one bedside lamp on each. A spacious corner wardrobe offers plenty of wardrobe space. A floor-standing window completes the furnishing.
Bedroom II
Sleep separately in two single beds. Each bed is 100 * 200 cm large, so you can turn around at times without the risk of falling down. Holiday with friends? Then the beds can be pushed together in no time. Two bedside tables with small drawers. A built-in wardrobe 200 * 230 cm completes the features. Orientation: Northwest.
Bathrooms
Traditional plaster style impregnated with organic oil gives the walls an antique look. The wash basins are made of very special sandstone. The washbasins are made of very special sandstone. Here many fossil inclusions can be found. Who will find more comfort? Wheelchair accessible showers. Oh by the way, Casa Ria has a town water supply and thus a tested water quality and almost lime-free water.
Dining,
Eat or play together. The dining table measures 150 * 90 cm. For 4 persons and also for more table set-up there is no demand for space. If it is still not sufficient, the table can be pulled out in no time. Now the table can be covered up to the brim or it can accommodate up to 6 persons comfortably. Ample crockery is available. Comfortable and stable chairs with cushions for cosy get-togethers.
When the weather is once again too nice to sit inside, then jump out onto the terrace. The patio doors allow plenty of light into the apartment. A pergola protects against too much sun with awning. Nothing is far away and one always has an eye on everything. Again, there is a nice table with plenty of space. Comfortable, adjustable chairs. Now admire the view across the large plot and in to the nature.
For all sophisticated meal times, everything should be available. Candle holders, table runners, decanters, red and white wine glasses. Beer and water glasses and something for the traditional brandy.
Kitchen
Cooking together. It becomes very easy here. Sufficient space to conjure up your own favourite dishes or treats. Around the apartment you will find significant herbs for Mediterranean cuisine. Rosemary, chilli, spicy wild thyme, oregano, lemon balm, peppermint and lemongrass for a delicious tea or a refreshing cold drink.
The granite countertop is durable and resilient and offers plenty of space so that the preparation becomes easier. Don’t want to cook? Then quick little things can be made in the oven or microwave. The restaurants in the area are happy to present you their culinary specialties of Algarve.
To make cooking even more fun-filled we have the kitchen equipped with an induction hob. Oven, dishwasher, extractor hood, microwave, + + +, simply everything that comes with a household.
Comfort can begin with packing the suitcase. The apartments are furnished large and comfortable, so that your suitcases can stay lighter. Hair dryer, travel iron box, bath towels, beach mats which can safely stay at home. Some German and English books are on the shelf and should satisfy one or the other passionate readers.
All facilities have been caringly selected with the intention of creating a warm, homely atmosphere.
Activities around: Casa Ria
The choice of holiday activities is always a personal decision. Casual barefoot stroll on a deserted beach, indulging in historical European or Moorish culture. Sporty.
Experiencing one of the many festivals and free music events. Horse markets with thoroughbred horses and beautiful carriages and trailer combinations. Fairs, markets and more celebrations and processions. Plunging in to the carnival. And the friendliness and serenity of Algarvians everywhere. Time for a wine, fado, snacks simply dozing a little bit in the shade of the midday sun.
In the Ria Formosa park there is plenty of information about this unique piece of nature. The rare Portuguese water dogs show at special trials what they are capable of. By the way, we are with our Chily Portuguese champion in this discipline.
