This home was well appointed with a gorgeous pool and outdoor area. It was a little remote on a dirt road and Carovigne is a small town with a few good restaurants. We could travel easily between towns like Ostuni, Monopoli, and Polignano al Mare, providing a great home base!
We had a splendid trip to Carovigno and being guests in this gorgeous home made all the difference. The location and home are exactly as promised. I highly recommend this location; it would be incredible in the Spring and Summer!
With breathtaking view of the Adriatic. The villa was modern, comfortable and well equipped. Beautifully landscaped, and amazing pool. We enjoyed visiting Carovigno, Santa Sabina, San Vito and Ostuni nearby. Driving distance for day trip to Brindisi, Alberobelle, Locorotundo, Taranto, Lecce, Polignano, Monopoli and Gallipoli. Fabulous place to visit and enjoy Puglia.
This is a fabulous villa in a great location near some gorgeous hilltop towns and also the sea . We loved the local village of Carivigno which was traditionally Italian . Lots of great restaurants and cafes locally .
The villa itself is breathtaking with a fantastic pool and fabulous outside dining table which makes the most of the views .
Rosa was very helpful but we would have appreciated written information on the local area and instructions for when the electricity went off .
Suzanneâs house is a little piece of paradise. We know Puglia very well and it still managed to surprise and amaze us. The pictures of the listing do not give enough credit to the beauty of the space.
The layout is perfect for 2 families of up to 4 with a separation in 2 spaces.
We had a wonderful stay. The house is airy, modern and elegant with a wide and sweeping view of the coastline. We enjoyed just sitting on the comfortable seats on the shaded terrace and doing as little as possible, aside from swimming in the pool. It would've been helpful to have some information provided on the local area but Google helped out there. At the end of our week we wished we could stay for another.
We were a family of five that stayed in the beautiful Villa Monti for 5 days in the middle of July. This was during the extremely hot period and we truly enjoyed the magnificent Infinity pool throughout the day.
The villa is very comfortable and stylish. Well equipped overall. However in the kitchen we missed having a microwave.
We were met by Rosa that very welcoming and helpful.
The villa is located remotely and a car is absolutely necessary.
We went out for dinner a nearby Ostouni and did our grocery shopping in Carovigno.
A very pleasant stay in beautiful Puglia.
The view was as pictured in listing as were the rooms. The property manager met us in the town and escorted to the property, it is very remote and hard to find especially at night! You must map pin the location and save it for reference. The first night we experienced 3 total power outages due to a faulty main switch! The electric gate is obviously disabled and I had to scale the high fence to make it manual and open it. The property manager told me we had to lower the temperature settings on the heaters and avoid using other appliances while the heaters were on! The access to the main switch is on the road in front of the house with no lighting! The access door to the main switch was broken and had to be pried open to reset the breaker! At 11 pm the breaker tripped, I had to go out using the car headlamps to rest the main switch. An electrician came out the next morning to repair it. This took 3 hours of our day. The coffee maker (NESPRESSO) did not work properly and pods had to be manipulated to insert and the other option, a French press, did not work at all. The property manager was difficult to communicate with in English! I was in contact with the property owner and while responsive she did not respond to my request for a reduction/refund! I have disputed the charge therefore on my AMEX!
The house is beautiful with stunning views and a fantastic pool but the place needs some love.
2 large sliding doors in 2 bedrooms are not working and held up only by wedges of wood. It has been like this for some time.1 thin old towel each for the pool is not enough to dry down then lie on. The internal freezer door (inside the fridge) was held with tape and wood and keeps falling in to the fridge every time you open it, breaking a glass bottle on to the tiled floor(no vacuum or mop to clean it up). The blue light above the bed is so bright that it wakes you up every time you move, previous guests have stuck tape over this but it does not stop the light. we placed a cardboard box over it. The faux leather on the headboard is so old that a substantial amount of it is crumbling in to the bed as you sleep. I let the interpreter know within the first day and she told me that the owner was aware but was not doing anything about these problems. I also had the wrong directions pinned to me by the interpreter who proceeded to raise her voice to me because she could not find us. 2 days before we were due to leave we had 3 messages asking when we would be out of the villa. Followed be another angry message from the interpreter for asking why they were needing to know so far in advance.
This will be a fantastic place to stay when they do some basic maintenance. Most of the review's are old and I would not recommend staying until beds, doors, fridge etc are replaced or fixed.
My family and I spent the last week of a long 3 week stay in Puglia at this villa. From all the places we stayed, this villa provided the best location, views and setting. I highly recommend this villa for anyone interested in staying near Ostuni - the absolute best and most beautiful town in all of Puglia!
This property is a large, modern, very private house with two separate living and sleeping areas, separated by a breezeway. The huge windows allow great views of the sea and the olive groves surrounding.
The outdoor areas with a large lap pool are great. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. There is a washer but no dryer.
There are plenty of areas to walk amongst the ancient olive trees and wildflowers, with long distance views to the sea.
The nearest town with restaurants is about 3 miles away, and the beach not far either
The property manager was excellent, and promptly answered questions or concerns.
The only real downside to this property is the rather primitive 1/2 mile road leading in to the driveway, that made us wish at times for a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
This property is absolutely spectacular. It is a perfect space for two or three couples. Pinch yourself views, amazing space, all the amenities including a well stocked kitchen, many gorgeous outdoor spaces to visit, relax, eat, and enjoy the breathtaking views and the magic of the olive groves. So conveniently located for biking, walking, the beaches, road trips! 15 mins to great groceries in Carovigno. This is one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. The pictures DO NOT do it justice. Host very responsive and translator on site was wonderful. Worth every euro and then some!!!
Although the road was a challenge after the heavy rains, and you do not mind live remote (although the village is only 7 min drive), the location is outstanding. A beautiful view over the olive trees to the sea. Serene quietness and a very well thought out outside table with a very welcome ever lasting breeze.
One remark, 8 people in the house is a choice as there are 3 bedrooms, The master bedroom will have 4 sleeps then.
