This was my third stay here. Peter is a wonderful host. The house is quaint (as one would expect in a 100 year old home) and filled with interesting art and objects that add character. My daughter and grandchildren (12 and 5) joined me, and they loved the pool. Kevin the peacock was added entertainment. I am already planning another stay next summer.

Most relaxing vacation ever

We thoroughly enjoyed the old house. Lots of amenities very nice. The pool was amazing and their downtime was a huge plus for us best vacation we’ve had in many many many years. We will definitely be back.

This home was comfy, historic, and fun. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was functional, and the back yard was great for hanging out. The kids enjoyed the pool even though it was kind of cold at the time of our trip. Kevin and Pammie Jean the peacocks were beautiful! We learned about the home’s history and that was very interesting. The hosts were great, wonderful and fast communication from before booking until after we left. We would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you!

This home has character and history! I must say our favorite part was the backyard. The pool was so fun! The plants were amazing with a big mix of tropicals and trees. The peacocks were so pretty. I kept waiting to hear them call but didn't hear a peep. The sound of the fountain was very relaxing. Rocking on the front porch was also enjoyable. We had fun playing games in the sunroom upstairs, listening to records with a great view of the sky from all the windows as the sun set. We're Peanuts fans and happened to find a collection of Charlie Brown albums with books inside! There are kid's books and a few dolls, and some yoga mats and dumbbells upstairs. The town had some interesting stores and restaurants we wished we had more time to explore, so we may have to come back. NOTE: It is an old home with some tight spaces in the living room and kitchen, and soft spots in the floor that lend to the character but may not be suitable if you require space for a wheelchair or walker.

Great place!

We absolutely loved the hospitality that Peter showed us. The house was so neat! My son loves history so he loved reading about the history of the house. All in all a great place to stay in Taylor!

We had a wonderful time at the Kasper house. We spent a lot of time in the pool, which was the perfect size! The history of the house is very interesting. Overall, a great place to relax and spend time with family.

Great Texas Vacation

The Kaspar House is amazing! The pool & beautiful landscape was truly magnificent! The 100+ yr house is so cool. The hosts, Peter & Mike were very helpful. Enjoyed it so much, we will be back next summer.

Wonderful, very roomy, older house with antiques and lots of mystique. The bedrooms were roomy and beds were very comfortable. The pool has a ramp and steps, and has a truly deep section. The grill has both gas and charcoal/wood capabilities. Communication with the host was a pleasure. I will definitely use this place again.

Love, love, loved it! House is so cozy and welcoming with interesting decor. Backyard is beautiful even a peacock! Everything you need to cook meals but no need because Taylor has such good restaurants.plan on staying again!

Delightful time in this 1916 house with a pool. We had the best time. Loved the uniqueness of the house. Loved the sunroom. Loved the creaky floors. Loved the pool and outdoor area. Enjoyed the peacock, chickens and pheasants. Would go back and stay again.

Great getaway

Loved the pool. Property reminded us of a resort, full of beautiful plants and water features. Enjoyed hearing the peacock and watching the hens. The house is big and very nice. Lots of beautiful old woodwork. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely rent it again!

My family thoroughly enjoyed the Kaspar House. We enjoyed reading the history and sharing in the mystery. The pool was amazing. The peacock and chickens fun (we didn't realize until our last day that they could've roamed free in the yard). Peter and Mike were super friendly and responsive to our needs. I would love to stay again.

Visiting family

We chose this location because it was close to our family. Great choice!!! The house had EVERYTHING we needed. The beds were so comfortable. The sheets were the best surprise, not starchy at all! The pool was a nice addition to those hot Texas days. So refreshing to relax in the pool. Enjoyed watching Kevin the peacock. The owners were great communicators and very fast to respond! Close to shopping and restaurants. Would definitely book again!
