Quaint, welcoming 100-year old home with a lovely garden and small swimming pool. This was my second time renting it, and definitely plan to stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed the old house. Lots of amenities very nice. The pool was amazing and their downtime was a huge plus for us best vacation weâve had in many many many years. We will definitely be back.
The Kasper House is the best choice if you want to spend some time away from your daily routine to relax and recharge your batteries. The backyard is beautiful, peaceful with a fabulous pool , a fish pond , Kevin the peacock makes you easily fall in love with him. My son adored him. The history of the house is impressive, every wall has a story to tell. Owners offer great hospitality. We will definetly come back.
My family thoroughly enjoyed the Kaspar House. We enjoyed reading the history and sharing in the mystery. The pool was amazing. The peacock and chickens fun (we didn't realize until our last day that they could've roamed free in the yard). Peter and Mike were super friendly and responsive to our needs. I would love to stay again.
Love, love, loved it! House is so cozy and welcoming with interesting decor. Backyard is beautiful even a peacock! Everything you need to cook meals but no need because Taylor has such good restaurants.plan on staying again!
We had a wonderful time at the Kasper house. We spent a lot of time in the pool, which was the perfect size! The history of the house is very interesting. Overall, a great place to relax and spend time with family.
Loved the pool. Property reminded us of a resort, full of beautiful plants and water features. Enjoyed hearing the peacock and watching the hens. The house is big and very nice. Lots of beautiful old woodwork. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely rent it again!
Very nice home with a ton of character! Clean and well decorated! Property owners were wonderful to communicate with! Outdoor patio area was well decorated and comfortable!
Delightful time in this 1916 house with a pool. We had the best time. Loved the uniqueness of the house. Loved the sunroom. Loved the creaky floors. Loved the pool and outdoor area. Enjoyed the peacock, chickens and pheasants. Would go back and stay again.
This was our second visit. We brought our grandchildren - two separate groups, two different age ranges. Both groups loved it. We booked because it has a pool, but it has so much more. I would like to come back with adults to enjoy the house itself. Love the sun porch! And we took the kids to Austin. Easy access.
Probably one of my best VRBO experiences!! Hosts were amazing and very attentive to any requests we had. Pool was very refreshing, landscaping was like an oasis, it was hard to go inside. This historical home was comfortable and tastefully decorated. We had 10 family members join us for an outdoor lunch, many outdoor seating areas with tables. We all loved the pool!! If I was in area again, would definitely stay there!
Great house with unique characteristics for a fun family weekend. Pete did a great job in communicating. House was more tan we expected. Donât second guess yourself in renting this house. It will definitely meet and exceed any and all expectations you may have.
Kaspar house was the perfect place to stay for our group of six, with plenty of space for everyone. This house is older but has many special features and loads of character and many artifacts and areas to explore. I especially enjoyed having my morning coffee outside with the chickens and peacock! The beds were comfortable and it was definitely a plus to have two bathrooms. It was fully equipped for everything. We have family that lives in Taylor, so the location was perfect. We had them all over for pizza one night and although it was too cold to swim, there was plenty of space outside to entertain our guests. Thanks for a memorable stay!
This unique home was a fun retreat and the backyard was a delight. My husband and I got to spend several nights here with my brother/wife and sister/husband for a mini-family reunion. We enjoyed looking at all the special art pieces and items all around the house. The backyard was so peaceful and the pool was refreshing. The kitchen met all our needs as we cooked several meals there. Both owners were very attentive and responsive to our questions and to all our needs.. We would surely rent this property again.
Peter was an exceptional host. He made sure me and my Partner David's needs were met at all times! His communication and priority to make sure we were happy was perfect! Any issues we had, they were ready to solve on the spot! Other than Peter & Mike's amazing hospitality, their home was absolutely perfect. From the antique artwork & furniture, to the pristine backyard... I can say that our stay here at The Kaspar House was perfect and we will defiantly be coming back in the future! Thanks again to Peter & Mike for everything they had to offer! - Dacie & David
This is a very unique place. The pool has a ramp instead of stairs or a ladder. The yard is very large and fully fenced so itâs great for smaller kids. Please be aware to watch kids when they are in the backyard so they donât accidentally fall in or throw rocks in the pool. The hosts, Peter and Mike, are wonderful beyond words. They let us know all the details and weâre very responsive the couple of times we messaged them. We didnât get a chance to explore the town of Taylor but it looks cute and has interesting stores and landmarks. The house was cool even in the heat which is expected but I have been in some places that havenât met that expectation. There are chickens, a peacock, and a pheasant in pens and a koi pond in the backyard. They were quiet, except for the fish. đ This was a great vacation. Thanks to the hosts!
Here for TFX competition so location was amazing. The communication with host was great. Always got a quick answer. Beds super comfy. Kitchen is small but had all items we needed to cook all our meals. I probably needed to read more of the details on the home as we were a bit surprised with the age of it. House as a whole slants which was a bit odd. And things like the railing were really low. But again made for a fun experience.
I have been in the hospitality business since 1976. We know you have many choices and we pledge to make your stay as comfortable as possible ! Bring your food and beverages and we provide pretty much everything you need to feel like youâre at home.
The home was built in 1916 and retains much of its original charm while having many modern updates. Furnishings are a mixture of items that were in the home along with auction finds and rare and unusual artwork.
