The house was beautiful with great amenities. I was initially concerned about being off the mountain and the shuttle availability, but I never waited longer than a few minutes. The kitchen was great with everything you could need to cook. I would absolutely book this again.

Birthday Ski Weekend

We would rent again. Great location to Purgatory! The shuttle was a huge win! The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms are very comfortable, one of the bedrooms is very very small (3 twin bunk beds) but we made it work and so can you. Very comfortable property! Thank you for a great stay.

Wonderful Family Weekend Getaway!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing stay in this home with our 2 adult sons and their families-plenty of space for all 9 of us! We loved the gorgeous views from the deck and walking around the little lake. Fishing at the lake, sitting in the hot tub and around the fire table, playing arcade games were a hit with the grandkids. It is nicely decorated and very comfortable. It was perfect for our needs, just needed a few more days longer!!

Perfect

This place was absolutely perfect for our family’s weekend getaway to Purgatory. We’ve stayed at many VRBOs through the years and this exceeded them all. For starters, the location and neighborhood, although close to the resort, feels very private. The house was extremely clean upon arrival and the view from the kitchen/living room is absolutely beautiful. The bathrooms and kitchen were well-stocked (towels, toilet paper, pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc.). Our kids loved the downstairs living area with the arcade-perfect for hanging out after a day of skiing. Shuttle service to Purgatory made it so easy and check-in/check-out was very convenient. A most comfortable and relaxing stay. Highly recommend!

Spectacular place!

We stayed here with some friends of ours. The place is amazing. Clean, large, exactly as it is listed. The two car garage was wonderful to have access to at the end of each day. The kitchen is well stocked, as well as linens. My only caution (and it’s only because we are from Texas and it was only our second Summer in CO, we usually come for the snow) is the unit doesn’t have AC. Fans are provided and most windows open but it was a shock to those of us that assume it’s standard everywhere! We were always comfortable at night to sleep. This is a unit I would rent again.

Thank you for staying with us, and for completing a review! We were happy to host you and your group and are glad you had an enjoyable time with your friends and found the home so wonderful! Yes, as is the case with most homes in this area, A/C is not an amenity that it offers because it isn't needed 10/12 months of the year. Glad to hear that opening the windows and the fans provided kept the home cool enough for you and your group! We look forward to having you stay with Durango Vacation Rental Collective again in the future!

Chirping Fire Alarm!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice place. Big Problem in that the fire alarm chirped all night! It was high up on a wall and could not be silenced. Very little sleep for all of us that night. It was replaced the next afternoon. That night another fire alarm chirped in the middle of the night. We were able to pull that down and throw it on the deck. You should have a schedule to replace batteries and fire alarms.
Réponse de VrboOwner le 16 févr. 2026
Thank you for your feedback, and I am truly sorry you had to deal with that. A chirping fire alarm — especially in the middle of the night — is incredibly frustrating, and I completely understand how that would impact your sleep. That’s not something any guest should have to experience. I appreciate you letting us know it was replaced the following afternoon, and I’m very sorry that another alarm started chirping the next night. That certainly should not have happened. You’re absolutely right that there should be a clear maintenance schedule for batteries and alarm units, and we will be reviewing our procedures to ensure this is proactively addressed going forward. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and again, I sincerely apologize for the disruption to your stay.

Perfect rental!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is fresh and new in a great location. The beds were soooooo comfy. The layout of the home is great for socializing while cooking dinner in the well stocked kitchen. The views are stunning. And the decor is a modern eclectic mix of old and new with interesting items to admire throughout. Many rentals claim the ability to sleep a crowd, but then not provide seating for that crowd. There were only 4 of us, but this home offers plenty of lounge and dine space both inside, as well as outside, which is really important in Colorado! We'd love to return and found booking directly with Vacation Rental Collective both a bargain and a great experience.

Walking distance to amazing skiing!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This beautiful home was a 2 minute walk to the first lift. We honestly felt very lucky to have booked such a clean and beautiful home. The bedrooms were very generous in size and we all had a place to cozy up by the fire. We arrived after a really big snow storm and the roads were all cleared. Be sure to grab food and stick up before you had in, as the town is at least 20/30 mins away, but you are right next to the resort. The only negatives would be a missing filter basket on coffee maker and they are still waiting on the dining room table. Both of these things don’t really impact the stay as you have a k cup coffee maker and a beautiful island. Loved having a washer on site. We will definitely be back!
