The property was exactly what i was picturing for our weekend get away. The views were phenomenal and the location was perfect! We really had the best time!
We wanted a cozy, private cabin for a weekend getaway kid free and this was it! It was the perfect view of the mountains and was very cozy. We would stay here again!
Great cabin, extremely convenient location. Cabin was clean with an awesome view. Property contact Denise made the check in process quick and easy. Highly recommend this property.
I just stayed there for my honeymoon. We had the most wonderful time. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and very clean. Awesome view from balcony. I would stay there again.
My husband and I celebrated my birthday and our anniversary here. Awesome mountain view!! Great relaxing in hot tub enjoying view. Enjoyed the view from the bedroom every morning. Comfortable sofa in front of fireplace while enjoying beverages. Kitchen had everything we needed. Denise was great at check in. Would stay again.
We were staying for a high school soccer tournament at Rocky Top Sports Complex. The chalet was pretty close to the facilities and we only needed room for my wife and myself as our son was staying with the team. It was a good amount of space and the views were awesome!! It is close to grocery store and restaurants and is the perfect chalet for a couple getaway! Thank you!
If you're hesitant of booking this cabin because you're concerned about your view, then seriously, look no further. The view from the back deck is way better than pictured and relaxing in the hot tub with the mountain backdrop is breathtaking. It's impossible to capture the beauty of the mountains from pics alone. This place had everything that me and my wife were expecting, and we spent a majority of our honeymoon relaxing at the cabin. We are definitely planning on coming back in the future. As inexperienced mountain-goers, the roads leading to the cabin were a bit narrow, and if it's raining, snowing, icey, etc, it could be difficult, if not impossible, to make the trek without a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The driveway leading to the cabin is very steep and i was concerned my vehicle wouldn't make it, but once we did, we had the best vacation either of us have ever experienced. I definitely recommend 'Mountain Splendor.' "Splendid" is an understatement, to say the least.
Luckily we went for the hiking and scenery. Gatlinburg and pidgin forge are most definitely stuck in the 1980s tourist trap. I loved how this cabin is located just far enough away from that hell and close enough to all the hiking and scenic drives you can stand. We did go during the slow season and restaurants and nightlife were all but dead. This cabin is perfect for a peaceful quiet weekend. The hot tub isnât very glamorous but I own an amazing one. So my opinion on that is going to be harsh. The pool table was/is stationed in tight space (I moved it away from walls to be able to shoot properly.). There was no pool stick that was in good condition and one corner of the table dipped dramatically ( before and after repositioning). That can be good for those who are not good and all they have to do is shoot in that one pocketâs direction and itâs an easy in. The cabin is extremely creeky. Very loud. No way to walk around without waking anyone sleeping. Even the wind blowing makes every joint crack. But honestly Iâve only stayed in maybe five cabins in my life. That could be common. Idk. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and utensils and pots and pans. So if you decide to take a load of groceries you will not have to leave at all. Modern smart tv and cable in both the living room and bedroom. Take your log in info for your favorite streaming service and there is no problem feeling at home. If it is raining or snowing or icy you will need four wheel drive.
We had an issue one night with the hot tub and Denise had someone out there in less than 30 minutes, had it fixed right away and no more problems the rest of our stay. We would definitely stay there again!
The best view around in my opinion. And not too bad a drive to go anywhere really, bit of fun in it. Property had everything you could possibly hope to walk into. Pretty old tvs but that's not the point of these trips.
Cabin was spot on to description. Quite an incline to get there and the driveway is pretty steep, but no problem for us and the one below was waaaay steeper! Loved the deck/view. Comfy bed! Not much nightlife nearby. Not really a walkable area, but views were truly amazing. Hot tub was great, too. Great communication with owner!
My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights on our honeymoon! We loved this cute cabin and it was very clean! The hot tub was so nice and the views were terrific! We would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the mountains and be close to Gatlinburg!
