Bienvenue Ă  l'Escapade sur Lake Placid - notre belle maison au bord du lac sur Lake Placid - prĂšs de New Braunfels, McQueeney, Seguin et San Antonio. Nous possĂ©dons cette maison depuis un certain nombre d'annĂ©es et avons dĂ©cidĂ© de la mettre Ă  la disposition des autres. IdĂ©al pour les «Texans d'hiver», les vacances en famille, les rĂ©unions de famille ou les chambres supplĂ©mentaires pour les vacances. Être un peu plus Ă©loignĂ© rend, bien, une expĂ©rience plus Placid. Apportez vos cannes Ă  pĂȘche ou choisissez de vous dĂ©tendre sur l'un des magnifiques terrasses ensoleillĂ©es - soyez proche de l'action prĂšs de l'eau ou Ă  12 pieds au-dessus de l'eau. Vous sĂ©journerez dans une maison loin de chez vous spacieuse et entiĂšrement meublĂ©e, qui comprendra tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour vous dĂ©tendre.

Vous ĂȘtes Ă  proximitĂ© de tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour que vos vacances soient inoubliables. Nous avons le plus grand parc aquatique des États-Unis, Schlitterbahn, et la plus ancienne salle de danse en activitĂ© au Texas, Gruene Hall. Vous pouvez faire du tube ou du radeau sur la riviĂšre Guadalupe, ou sur la riviĂšre Comal. Si le shopping vous intĂ©resse, vous voudrez visiter l'un des plus grands centres commerciaux des États-Unis Ă  San Marcos Ă  proximitĂ©. Admirez les sites historiques de l'Alamo Ă  San Antonio ou profitez de Six Flags Fiesta Texas et de Sea World - Ă  seulement 45 minutes en voiture. Bien sĂ»r, rester assis sur le pont et se dĂ©tendre est toujours une activitĂ© prĂ©fĂ©rĂ©e. Vous ne manquerez jamais de choses Ă  faire.

Les caractéristiques de notre maison comprennent trois chambres, deux avec des lits king-size et une avec un lit queen-size. Deux canapés pleine longueur peuvent servir de zones de couchage supplémentaires. Il y a deux salles de bain complÚtes, une laveuse et une sécheuse pleine grandeur et un quai à deux étages. La maison a une vue sur l'eau depuis le salon, la salle à manger et la cuisine. Un grand porche couvert a une table et des chaises, et le front de mer est à seulement 70 pieds de la porte arriÚre. Il y a de nombreux siÚges extérieurs ombragés par de grands pacaniers pour profiter de la vue et une immense cour pour profiter des jeux de plein air ou de la détente. Nous avons deux kayaks pour vous permettre de profiter de l'eau. Les grillades sont disponibles sur notre gril à gaz.

COZY, COMFY with Nice Views

This is the third time we’ve stayed here! It’s perfect for our family! Lots of bird watching and fun card games at the big table! Sandra is great to work with. We will be back! We use the home as a base to visit other family in the area, and it meets our needs well!

Great Base Point for Family Visit

We’ve stayed here before and likely will again. We have family and a farm nearby. This property allows our immediate family to gather together while visiting extended family in the area. We were sad to see water levels so low, but we weren’t here for the water sports. Sandra is such a conscientiously reliable hostess.

Excellent Location - Lovely Property

My family of four had a marvelous last-minute getaway at this perfect little place on the river. We spent our days and nights either in the river or sitting on the dock watching the world go by. The house itself is wonderfully furnished, especially the kitchen, which made it easy to throw a few clothing items in a bag and pack a cooler with some food and head for the lake. We were stress free within minutes of checking in! We also loved having our two, four-legged family members with us! Thank you Sandra for sharing your property with us!

Great Time and Location!

My friends and I came to Seguin for our annual golf trip. We knew it was going to be hot, so we wanted to stay close to the water. This property didn't disappoint whether it be location, size of the house, cleanliness, etc. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend.

Great location

Great house with wonderful views and great location. The kids enjoyed swimming and the grandparents enjoyed the shaded and relaxing patio. The house has everything you could need and is spotless. Sandra was also very attentive.

Nice get away

Locate is awesome, right on the small lake. Had a great time with family. The only negative thing was not being able to tie off a boat to the dock. We had to stay on the boat because we had no where to tie it off too. But it was a good time.

Birthday getaway

We had a wonderful time during our stay at the lake. It was a birthday trip for my son's 11th, he had a blast! There are lots of boats that come through so the water isn't too calm, but we tied a couple river tubes to the dock and everyone had a great time. We enjoyed fishing in the early morning hours, we didn't catch anything, but the kids got lots of good practice with their casting skills. The house was very well stocked with towels, dishes, and an assortment of spices, several life vests, noodles and 2 kayaks. We had everything we needed on hand to have a great time, which was very nice. When we had an issue at the end of our stay, our host was very compassionate and resolved the situation with an eye towards future stays and safety of all guests. We will definitely be back for another stay.

Fun by the water

The property itself is beautifully maintained inside and out. The dock for accessing the water is only 100 ft from the back porch, so super close. There were kyaks and floatation devices (pool noodles) available for use, and we had an awesome time playing in the water. Some things to keep in mind: * The water is deep everywhere, so little ones will not be able to stand. * The only way out of the water is with a pool/dockside ladder. So if you have people with bad/weak hips/ankles (like my mother that came with us), then you may have trouble getting back out of the water. Overall, lots of fun and I recommend this place to everyone :)

Wonderful getaway

We had a great time at this house. The house was very comfortable with ample space, a well-equipped kitchen, and amazing dock and lake access. We enjoyed using the kayaks as well as just relaxing on the upper deck! We would definitely return.

Great family vacation spot

We stayed for a week with two young kids, our baby and a small dog. Every day the kids were up at 6 am ready to jump in the lake and kayak. We all had a blast relaxing by the lake and took breaks from the sun in the beautifully shaded backyard. Patio was perfect for outside dining. Everything was great— everyone is already asking to go again next summer. Thanks for a great trip!

Very Lovely and Peaceful

It was a great house to stay in, loved the views, spacious, clean, lots of game options, and more. The first night my whole family did take cold showers because the water heater was cut off some how, but my husband went and turned on, it was a hot day in the sun so it was fine.

Review of stay

Nice location, middle bathroom shower only gets hot water if turned completely all the way over. Also construction, with large equipment, metal sawing happening right next door from 8AM to 4ish. The workers were very nice, but it was very noisy at times. Other then that all was good.

Beautiful home in a beautiful property

This home is large and comfortable. We spent most of the time on the dock or kayaking. We can’t wait to come back. Also we got takeout from Blake’s in McQueeny and had the best onion rings we’ve ever eaten.

Fantastic weekend getaway, will definitely be back

We absolutely loved this place and brought both our dogs. It’s so beautiful right on the water and we just swam right off the dock and took the kayaks out every day. It’s very quiet indoors even with boats going by. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds are comfortable. I also love the good water pressure in the showers. Great host, wonderful stay, thanks so much!

Spacious home right on the water

This was our first visit to Lake Placid. It’s a very small, crowded lake; glad we didn’t bring our boat, just jet skis. Heads up, fellow boaters do not like jet skis. Also, because the lake is sooo narrow, it’s almost impossible to remain 50 feet away for all water vehicles, as required by law. The water is very choppy so paddle boarding was very challenging. This property was perfect for our family weekend with the large living and dining rooms. There was plenty of outdoor seating, however, there are no outdoor lounger chairs as in the property pictures. The owner, Sandra, was quick to respond. Her neighbors on one side are rebuilding their dock so on the weekday, sitting out on the dock, all we heard was the generator plant and metal grinder. Same neighbor leaves their exterior lights on all night, which shine right into the master. It was deceiving to know if it was morning yet. The dock is large but since 2/3’s of it is not available to renters, you would need to trailer your boat at night and the neighborhood ramp is off limits. Instead you need to go to the public ramp a couple miles away. The long driveway is amazing. We were able to fit 4 trucks and 2 trailers. Sadly, the garage space is off limits so we had to store motorcycles overnight on the back patio. There are several (we spotted at least 5) outdoor cameras watching the property, a little creepy but I guess understandable. The home was nicely equipped, the mattresses were actually comfortable (not saggy in the middle) and the thermostat kept a perfect temp. For some reason there is a large tropical plant/tree impeding the lake view when at the kitchen sink and it’s very prickly when having to walk past it every time taking out the trash or recycling. All in all, a fantastic place. Would love to return some day.
