No need to pack the beach gear—we've got you covered with a beach wagon, 4 chairs, 2 umbrellas, boogie boards, and even a Blackstone flattop grill! Get ready for your most relaxing and convenient getaway yet!
Located bay front on scenic, peaceful, and relaxing Broadkill Beach! This home has so much to offer a family and friends looking to get away from the hustle of life. One level of spacious living including a screened in porch and deck with a water view to enjoy the days and nights in this undisturbed area. The modern home includes a total of 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathroom and 1 half bathroom. There is a primary bedroom and bathroom; the 2 spare bedrooms are connected with a full bathroom. The living, dining and kitchen area is an open concept design with plenty of seating for everyone. There is access to the screened in porch from the living area and the deck. From the deck climb up to the roof top deck to sit an look out at the water, what a view! From the bar stools on the upper deck, to the comfortable seating in the screened in porch and the table and chairs on the deck, this home supplies something for everyone's enjoyment. Bookworms there is a special place for you, in the living room you will enjoy the owners library and a a quiet nook to read. Please note the beach access is directly beside the home with a safe pedestrian walk way, no long walks to the beach at this house! The home also includes a gas grill, an enclosed outside shower and a private driveway to park 4 cars. A terrific area for the nature lover, it is not uncommon to see the foxes running through the dunes, truly a bird watchers paradise, and a fisherman's dream. Make this home your favorite retreat!

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the home and on the decks.
A linen package can be purchased for your stay. The cost of the linen package for one week's stay is $194.00.

Dog friendly! Tenants are permitted one dog under 30lbs with a $250 non-refundable pet fee.

Property was exactly as described. Proximity to the beach was wonderful. Love the path right next to the house. Excellent stay for relaxing vacation.

Great place on the bay!!

Enjoyed a great week. The house was perfect and had everything we needed love sitting on the roof deck to see the sun rise. Such a peaceful place and a nice neighborhood.

Clean, easy to check in and close to lots of options to keep an active 9 yo busy/interested. Also enjoyed doing nothing and sitting on the beach

Zero complaints! Lovely stay.

We had a wonderful stay at 604 S. Bayshore Drive! There was plenty of comfortable seating for our family of seven, in the living room and at the dinner table. As a family who likes preparing and sharing food, the well equipped kitchen and the large refrigerator/freezer were a plus.The deck and screened porch were favorite spots to relax and the bedrooms and baths were great too. We had absolutely zero complaints! Broadkill Beach is a hidden gem and we hope to return next year.

House was great

House was wonderful. Appliances were very good. Very nice grill. Had milkshake maker and blender. Right next to public access which has its positives and negatives. Beach was small but not crowded at all. No real waves being on the bay but water was nice.

Don't Miss Out!

Our stay at The Blue House on Broadkill Beach was amazing! Great views of the ocean especially from the upper deck look out. Large outdoor deck with a grill connected to a relaxing screened in porch to escape from those pesky bugs. We loved our quiet beach and also had the ability to quickly be at Rehoboth boardwalk, Dogfish Head Brewery for a tour, or free bike rentals at Cape Henlopen. The clean one floor house was perfect for traveling with small children as you can go back and forth from beach easily for nap time and the calmer water is great for play! Would highly recommend for a relaxing visit to the Delaware shores!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental house itself was really nice. The rooms, especially the kitchen and living room areas were large and it was great to have 3 bathrooms. There was plenty of parking and the walk to the beach was short and it was spacious. The only downside, which has nothing to do with the house was that there was an abundance of biting flies and jellyfish. I’m not sure if this was because it was bayside or if they all just decided to be there to torture us this week. LolBut if you’re looking for a nice property, it’s really very nice!

The Bare Minimum & Safety Warning

My family and I have been vacationing on Broadkill Beach for years, this year we decided to rent a different house than previous years and unfortunately we were less than happy with the accommodations. To start, and most importantly, there is no mention of the house’s beach access being directly connected to the main public access & there are vehicles and ATVs driving back and forth all times of the day and night - it is not safe for pedestrian traffic, let alone small children. Secondly, the house has a small “roof deck”, with old wooden steps that are quite challenging to navigate, my elderly parents were not able to get up and down without assistance. While the house may have an updated open layout, we were underwhelmed by the lack of basic toiletries, and had to purchase our own toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent & hand soap. For the price, we would have appreciated either the owner or property manager making sure there was at least the bare minimum provided…..needless to say, we will be renting elsewhere next summer!!

AN ABSOLUTE BEACH HAVEN!!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful and very well stocked. The view from the upper deck of beach and sunsets was amazing!!! The only thing I would have liked is to have the bathroom shade in the main bedroom be able to raise to allow natural light. But - I would rent this home again in a heartbeat!!!!!!

Nice vacation

It was a really nice place. Loved the house and location. Only couple of things that were problematic. There were a lot of fruit flies in the kitchen which we could not rid during the week and we believe that some previous guest or owner had a cat ( our son in law cleaned up cat poop) and our daughter is allergic to cats. Otherwise it was great fun.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

This year our daughter and her family stayed with us and our other daughter, who has a camper, stayed at a nearby campground and then came during the day to enjoy the beach with us. We all had a great time. The first thing everyone said as they entered the home was, “Wow, this place is so nice!” The house was extremely clean. The beds were comfortable and all appliances are top of the line and worked great. The location of the house is terrific and you can’t get closer to the beach. We love Broadkill Beach and truly enjoy the natural-ness of the beach. The beach is never crowded and allowed us all to enjoy the sun, sand and water with no issues. We even had a fire on the beach one night, which everyone enjoyed. We have already chose to stay again next year! Love this place!

The house is beautiful, the beach is close. We had a wonderful time, would definitely book this house again. As with any place minor issues with one broken chair upon arrival, thankfully we caught her. The shower door had a loose bar and some towel racks fell as soon as we hung our towels. But we managed to have a ton of fun! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It is right on the beach (only the dune is between the house and the beach). The pictures were spot on. It was spotless and I'm very picky about cleanliness! Even my husband said how clean everything was! We spent so much time on the rooftop deck. You can see everywhere from up there. The view was terrific! Communication with the owner was fantastic! We had an issue with internet service (no fault of the owner) and they were on the phone with xfinity as soon as we texted them. The issue was fixed promptly. My husband loved the big screen TV and the comfortable furniture in the living room. The beds were very comfortable. We slept like babies! There is plenty of parking. We only had one vehicle, but could have fit 3. The home is spacious. It was only the two of us but a family could have stayed with plenty of room for everyone to be together and apart. Bathrooms and kitchen are beautiful! We prepared meals most nights and it was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen as well on the grill that is provided. It was so convenient to have a washer/dryer in the home and they worked great. All appliances were top of the line. We chose to rent linens/towels and this was a big help, as we didn't have to pack them. They were there for us when we arrived and all we had to do was make the bed. Then when it was time to return home, we just had to place the dirty linens/towels in bags and let them on the porch. Easy Peasy! To say we were sad to leave is an understatement. This was one of the most relaxing vacations were have ever had. Time spent at the beach, on the rooftop deck and inside the home was very special. We really needed this getaway and came home refreshed and ready to get back to regular life. However, we could have stayed another week with no problem at all because the home was so great! This was our first time to Broadkill Beach and we loved it. There isn't a lot of parking for those who don't live there or rent there, so the beach is not at all crowded. You don't have the hustle and bustle or crowds you get at larger beaches. You can set up your beach chairs and not worry about having someone right next to you. We very much enjoyed that. You get a "small town" feel. People were very friendly and talked/waved no matter if we were on the deck or on the beach. We definitely recommend this property! You can't go wrong! RENT IT!!

Perfection

We were a group of four adults and 2 10-year old boys. The space was as advertised. Just enough space for us to spread out, but not too large that the home still felt cozy. Perfect location/beach front. The home was light, bright & breezy. We loved the upper deck. It was the perfect place to catch the breeze! We would absolutely rent this home again!

Great week for young family of 5!

Had a great week with our three young children - all under 6 years old. Beach front location and walkway to beach next door to house made getting to/from the beach with all the kids’ stuff easy! Screened in porch was also awesome for enjoying the bay breeze at night.

Grain of salt

The grain of salt is that I have COVID at the moment so might not have the most positive outlook. The house itself was nice. Memory foam mattress which some folks like but not all folks. Kitchen had less stuff than others places in which I had stayed but good appliances. Though note the oven/stove runs hotter than most. Rice cooked super quickly on low. Grill was lovely too. If you like to do puzzles in a group, you might want to bring your own table as none of the surfaces work well without disrupting others (dining room table or kitchen island). The thermostat is fixed at 72 which is lovely for some but not for others but the screened in porch is a great escape for those who find the inside too cold. Just be clear to all staying with you that you don't have a view of the water from inside the house, well, at least not the part where the waves crash. Also that you aren't on the ocean per se but rather on a river/sound/bay so not real waves which can be nice for younger swimmers but depends what folks are looking for really. The one thing I didn't know about was the mosquitoes - holy moly - lots of them and they and flies got into the house and it was hellish. Any attempts to go for walks necessitated a healthy coating of bug repellant at any time of day.
