This private garden condo is on the first floor of the south side of the building ...about 15 steps along the pathway leads to the gem of south Maui, Keawakapu Beach!

Keawakapu Beach, located on the south shore of Maui, Hawaii, is known for its stunning natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. This picturesque beach is a favorite spot for locals and return visitors and features soft golden sand, clear waters, and lush greenery surrounding the area. It's a great spot for families to swim, snorkel, and sunbathe, and watch the sun set at the end of the day.

This condo has newly installed high efficiency split Air Conditioning, one unit in each bedroom only. Light airy views from Haleakala to West Maui from the wrap around lanai. The master suite has a king bed and en suite walk in shower. The guest hall bathroom has a step in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals with dining seating options both inside and on the oceanfront lanai. At this beachfront property we provide beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach cooler. We suggest renting beach toys (such as a beach umbrella, snorkel gear, paddle boards, boogie boards, etc) from one of the many rental companies on Maui.

Hale Hui Kai is a beloved location among first time visitors and repeat guests. There is a small shared oceanfront pool next to the common area covered lanai, which is equipped with comfortable lounge space for guests to enjoy when you need a break from the Maui sun. On each floor of the property, is a pay-to-use laundry room each with two washers and two dryers.

Bello Realty, Inc. has been managing vacation rentals on Maui since the 1980's and is the premier on site management office at Hale Hui Kai. Our staff is available to assist you during your visit with any questions you may have as well as local recommendations and booking a return visit!

Perfect Beachfront rental

A sweet-spot in Kihei, located at a beautiful beach. Very nice complex locate just before Waimea. Easy access to markets, shopping and a variety of dining options. Apartment is very nice and well equipped with beautiful terrace. Nice spot for sundowners. Only area of improvement is to get the ant problem around the kitchen sink fixed, not a huge issue, but annoying enough.

Amazing view and beach access

We selected this property because of the location and we were not disappointed. The view of the beach and ocean was just awesome. The unit was stocked with the necessary items to make for a comfortable stay. The pool was great for a 4 and 6 year old, and while small it felt almost like a private pool as it wasn't used much by other guests or residents. Check in and check out process was very easy, however property management wasn't the fastest to respond to inquiries. We will consider staying here again.

Even when we lived on Kauai we would come to Maui for vacation and always stayed at Hale Hui Kai. This last visit was exceptional. Bello Reality has always been very gracious. We already have reservations to return for 2024. We always order food to go and enjoy the view from our room each evening as the sun goes down.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented 5-6 different units over the past 13 years annually. This unit wins for location with direct access to lawn and beach. Best fluffy pillows(no pancake pillows) and it’s was the best stocked and organized kitchen. We are cooks and ate in more than half our meals and they had everything we needed. Lots of beach toys, umbrella, chairs. Note: Knives need to be sharpened or replaced. There were no cleaning supplies other than dish soap, suggest proving so we can better clean up after ourselves.

Friends from home helped us to find this fantastic rental in Kihei. The location was perfect. This was a little slice of heaven after a few days of chaos. The unit was clean and spacious. The access to the beach was incredible. We loved how close this was to Wailea as that is always a "must visit" location when we travel to Maui.Side note: the gentleman we worked with at Bello Reality was fabulous. The days prior to our stay had been scary and anxiety filled. He was just a delight (I believe his name was Aiden - so sorry if I have that wrong).

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For what you get, the price is too high. Overall the unit was clean but you get the feeling that it could use some upgrades and amenitiesThe vacuum was broken and the broom was pretty worn. From the site’s photos, you have the impression that the area in front of the condo is private, yet there is a steady flow of people camped right outside. It would have helped to have another entry to the beach in inclement weather like we had. This time there was a 4 ft. drop/jump to the beach. We’ve stayed several times at HHK & surrounding areas but were disappointed this time. If we were asked for a recommendation, we would have to say no and it’s difficult to say this because we’ve always liked HHK and the location before. That’s why we booked there this time.

Aloha Mike, we are sorry to hear you were disappointed on this visit to Maui. The storm and flooding is probably the worst we have seen ourselves on this side of the island and it is unfortunate the timing crossed with your vacation and can certainly understand your frustration. Thankfully, Keawakapu Beach has already recovered for the most part and beach access has returned for Hale Hui Kai. If you visit again be sure to bring the items such as a broken vacuum and work broom to our attention and we will happily take care of it!

The complex was about half full during our stay, and could see how beach the beach access near #111 wouldn't be a great fit for someone looking for tons of privacy, but it's a great way for vacation conversations with other guests and hedges + tinted window offer more than enough retreat. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, nice condo. We've stayed in several condos in this building and our only (small) complaint as compared to the other condos is that this one could be better stocked with spices, towels, etc. We had two towels per person for 10 days and were declined additional towels so we had to do laundry. There was no laundry soap provided which we have had in other units. I think all the others provided boogie boards with the unit but when we requested here, they suggested going to rent because of insurance concerns. Not a big deal, but it's nice to have them provided. Otherwise, this one had amazing views, nice furniture inside and out, nice kitchen, and was very comfortable. I'm picky about my pillow so I'd either bring my own next time or buy one when I get there. The pillows are very firm foam. I asked about different pillows and they didn't have any but did offer to go buy one for me which was very accommodating but not necessary. Overall, our experience was wonderful and we'd come back.

This is truly a gem

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was spectacular. Convenience to beach and pool was literally steps away. The beach itself was perfect. We swam every morning around 7 and the water was warm and calm. I would suggest being nosy the first day and check every cabinet and drawer we didn’t find keurig or blankets till we were leaving. BTW the fan to the master bedroom is controlled by the panel next to air conditioning controls.The unit has everything glasses,plates etc. but no condiments at all salt, pepper etc. If you have mobility issues it can be challenging maneuvering pavers to beach a handrail would really be beneficial. It’s true the pathway and sunning lawn are directly in front of unit so if you really want total privacy then this unit is not for you but we didn’t mind and people were friendly and not obtrusive. Not many kids while we stayed so it was enjoyable quiet. Really from sun up to sun down the view from here is breathtaking. We can still hear the conch that is blown every day at sundown. We later stayed at a four star very expensive hotel and after our stay here, it just didn’t compare. Don’t forget to have a glass of wine on your private porch watching the sunset, it’s nature’s beauty a it’s best. Aloha

Hale Hui Kai is great!

This place is so awesome, we probably should keep it a secret and not tell others about it. ;) The condo itself sits BEACHFRONT on Keawakapu Beach. Keawakapu is the perfect beach-- there is easy access out the front door-- the waters were calm for swimming most of the time-- and it was a great walking beach! The unit is a little dated but it has all the conveniences of home. There are views from pretty much every room in the condo, which is makes it special! Yes, it is ground floor and other will be passing by from time to time-- but it is a great location with easy access to everything! The only thing missing is a BBQ (which based on the welcome package, explained they've had issues and don't allow them anymore). :( The complex is on the quieter side, probably not so much for the party scene or big group of kids. It is well maintained and has a great on-site management company. In short-- we loved our stay at Hale Hui Kai and highly recommend it! It was perfect for the adult and seniors on our trip that wanted a relaxing retreat. Mahalo to Bryce, the Bello Team and Owner

Perfect spot!

Having this condo as our home base for the week was the key to making our vacation fabulous. Just walk out the door and you're on the beach! Truly was everything they advertised. Only thing to note is that this unit is adjacent to the common area and pool, so be prepared to overhear others' conversations, both through the windows and while you're on the lanai.
