HOUSE ON THE RIVER

Home on the River. There is NO DOCK access to the River. A boat launch is 1/2 mile South. This home has all the amenities you need. 2 queen beds. One has an adjustable base with the ability to raise/lower your head/feet. One has a select comfort air bed to adjust the firmness of the bed. A large family room with wood burning fireplace, we provide the wood, that opens up to a 3 season porch. Large couch and coffee table with games. A high top table dining room that seats 6 and a coffee bar/ work space for 3 more people. Fisherman and hunters welcome also.
Come and enjoy all that Wabasha has to offer. Ice fishing, downhill skiing, thrift shops & boutiques, eagle watching, Slippery’s Bar & Grill, Home of Grumpy Old Men. Coffee shop, State land nearby for hiking. Drive your ATV on county roads legally.

We had a Wonderful experience at the house. It was very nicely decorated and welcoming. We were 2 couples having an enjoying weekend away. The beds are amazing, we all slept so well! We luckily didn't have to ask any questions or need help with anything around the house. So we had any need to bother Gina or Troy with any problems. When leaving sent them a message we were leaving and what we did before leaving. Also let them know what an amazing weekend we had. We would recommend this house to anyone to rent for their getaway! Everyone Enjoy this Place as We did!🥰

We had an incredible stay and would absolutely come back again. The home was super easy to find and access, and the host was kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay.The entire space felt very thoughtfully designed and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The furnishings were cozy and inviting without ever feeling cramped for our group of four.One of our favorite features was the beautiful enclosed sunroom/side porch—it was the perfect spot to sit, chat, and snack while enjoying a great breeze and still feeling comfortably indoors. The beds were exceptionally comfortable as well, and we especially appreciated that both were adjustable.The setting was just as memorable as the home itself, with gorgeous trees, a peaceful river view, and a backyard fire pit that made for perfect evenings outside. We are seriously looking forward to the opportunity to stay again!

My mother, myself and our dog stayed here for two nights. To be fair, I will say this: it was adequate but there could be some improvements. Firstly, it was easy to figure out the lock on the property and a smooth check-in process. Very big yard space to walk my dog (yes, I picked up after him). The kitchen was great with the water/ice dispenser on the fridge. The meeting area in the main room with the big TV was very nice and was able to load up my Pandora & YouTube accounts with great ease. Big driveway - tons of space.Notes:1. We were a little disappointed that the river was obscured by tree coverage. 2. The carpeted bedroom I stayed in had a musty and moldy smell to it. Whatever was going on, my body was not reacting well. I had very poor sleep because of this, which forced me to sleep on the couch in the main room for the second night. 3. While it's a seemingly safe area of town, we felt a little uneasy with the screened patio doors (the ones leading from the outside) not having locks on them. I had to use a bandaid to keep the latch lock pushed upward on one of the interior doors to that area. 4. I attempted to take a shower but the bathtub drain appeared to be calcified and I just gave up as I didn't want to stand in a buildup of water.Apart from things that might need some attention, we realize it is an older house but overall quite adequate and a good home base to come back to.

Hi Craig, I really appreciate you letting us know about these issues, we just wish you would’ve reached out to us during your stay. It is always our goal to make your visit the best possible experience. Due to the humidity the wooden doors to the sun porch swell up and the deadbolt is hard to push up. There is also a push button lock on the doorknobs. Sorry to hear that you were unable to sleep in that bedroom a second night. The bath tub lever was set in plug mode, therefore it wasn’t draining. Although I agree it is an older house and it does have its quirks. We always appreciate feedback from our guests. Thank you for the positive comments and the constructive criticism.

We loved the open concept for the living/dining area. Beds were comfortable. The windows facing the river allowed us to see 2 deers and a fox go by, but the trees limit the view to the water. We took walks in the neighborhood and felt very safe.
