An urban cottage located on the Wisconsin banks of the Mississippi River. A place where family and friends gather around the fire pit to make memories and laugh into the hours of the early morning. Two large living areas to curl up next to the fireplace with a good movie and a cozy blanket. Surrounded by the bluffs full of wildlife, and the river on a half acre just one block from boat landing. You'll be sure to enjoy hikes, late evening boat cruises, and world famous Buffalo County hunting.
Reading/relaxing momâs weekend. Loved the various seating areas for varied scenery for reading and chatting. Great decor felt super homey. Would definitely stay again.
Cute, cozy and convenience all in one, this cottage was the perfect setting! The amenities were great, the location was ideal and the sunsets astounded! Fantastic experience and fabulous owners who were kind enough to send our forgotten belongings! Highly recommend!
We needed a place to stay for a group of 6 and wanted to be able to spread out, cook our own meals, and enjoy our time. This property allowed us to do all of that, with a great location close to everything we wanted to see and do. Would recommend!
Cute home and a beautiful base camp for our annual Ashley for the Arts weekend. Home was well-appointed and fit our family well. Nice space to prepare meals and hang out and rest. Check in was super easy and host was very responsive. Would stay here again!
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Urban Cottage! The space was incredibly comfortable, beautifully decorated, and provided the perfect atmosphere for us to unwind and reconnect. It was just the right backdrop for a peaceful reading retreat with my college friends. We loved the cozy ambiance. Whether we were curled up with a book or chatting, the cottage made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
We loved our stay at the urban cottage. It was very comfortable with lovely spaces. We found plenty to do in the nearby communities and enjoyed walking along the Mississippi.
Our host Jenna was helpful and welcoming, and had great suggestions for us.
We decided to bring our kids on our anniversary getaway last minute and this was a perfect space for them. They loved having their own "apartment" in the two bed loft. They were able to watch TV and all hang out together while my husband and I were on the main
Beautifully decorated and well maintained property which was just as pictured and described. In a quiet area near the Mississippi River, we felt safe, comfortable, and able to fully relax. The check-in treats with hand written note were a super nice gesture. The hosts were easy to make contact with and provided more amenities than most other properties weâve stayed at elsewhere. Would stay again, if we needed to be in the area!
Nicely decorated, comfy beds walking distance to local bar. Sundays and Mondays many of the shops and things to do were closed, but we still found plenty to entertain us. The house had nice ammenities and we were even left a basket of goodies by the owner. The downstairs bathroom was a little tight with the cabinet in there. Plenty of pillows and blankets to snuggle with. We enjoyed listening to the records on the record player upstairs!
The Urban Cottage in Buffalo City, WI, provided my family and I a great location for our return to the area for an annual family gathering. Hosts Renae and Jenna were very responsive to our needs and questions before, during, and even after our stay. I would suggest the number of bedrooms be clarified in the online and app announcements. There is one Master Bedroom downstairs with a queen bed, and a large open area (efficiency apartment style) upstairs with two additional queen beds. All in all, a great place to relax and enjoy the activities the area around Buffalo City has to offer!
This place was wonderful! It was no surprise to find out the owner of this cottage was an interior decorator because it was as cute as can be with everything youâd ever need at your fingertipsâŠand then some!! The only thing I would change is the description of Rooms & beds detail online. This cottage had 3 queen beds, not 5 queen beds as the online listing described (the phone app says 3, but the full online app says 5). Only 1 of the 3 queens is in an enclosed bedroom. This can really affect how you intend to use the space depending on your group dynamics. That being said, the cottage was adorable, the host was kind and communicative when I had questions, the area is beautiful, and if you only need 3 queen beds, and maybe a couch or two, I highly recommend you try this amazing little cottage out!!!
This should be advertised as a one bedroom with two additional beds upstairs! There were 6 of us. Two babies that each needed their own room behind a closed door. Ad was very misleading to the point of false advertising.
