Cozy home that Sleeps 6+. Yard with accessibility to park trailers. Access to snowmobile trails, fishing, bear hunting, downtown shopping and nearby restaurants. Nice getaway for every season! House was built in 1910 and is not handicapped friendly.
My sister and I had a fabulous time in the UP! She has been up there many times camping I however, had never been. The house was great! So cute and cozy, centrally located, and had everything you could need for a great stay.
The Sled Shed was fantastic yet again. This was our third year staying here during the winter. The drive is a pull through, and even with 2 trucks and 2 large snowmobile trailers there was plenty of room. The house was in excellent condition again and there were no issues. The owners are fantastic!!
We loved the house, the location and ease of communication with the host! We enjoyed the house, and felt right at home. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking, which we all like to do.
We arrived during a big snowstorm, the house was cozy and inviting after coming in from the weather. The location was perfect for accessing snowmobile trails, restaurants and a grocery store. The house itself was equipped with everything you need. The pictures accurately represent the house. We would definitely stay here again.
Place was a great setup for snowmobiling. Everything needed was provided. Only a couple blocks from a gas station and the trail. Plenty of parking for a truck and small trailer. Could easily accommodate a 4 place trailer. Great place to stay if snowmobiling!
Newberry was our âhubâ to visit so many sites in eastern UP. From waterfalls to lighthouses to beaches to historic sites. And even a lingering monarch butterfly that hadnât migrated south yet.
This property is everything it claims to be! A full kitchen; lots of beds; comfortable. No doubt a great place for everyone and their âtoysâ!
First, I want to start my review with the fact that this home was very clean and thoughtfully supplied with the necessary items needed when staying at a home away from home. It is conveniently located in Newberry just 2 blocks from the center of town. Has a nice back yard with a welcoming firepit. With that said, I feel prospective renters should be aware that the âbonus roomâ is located upstairs which requires navigating some steep (in my opinion) and narrow stairs. Also, the washer and dryer are in the basement, again, requiring going down steep and narrow steps. Both of these situations would not be favorable for those with mobility issues or older folks, like my husband and I. Fortunately, it was just the two of us and we used the main level bedroom and bathroom. Ultimately, my husband and I WOULD consider staying here again if it was only the two of us. The lack of information regarding ease of accessibility mentioned above is the only reason we rated 4 stars. If it weren't for those issues we would have given this property 5's across the board.
We planned to stay here because it was central for everything we had planned. Rhonda and Paige have done a great job with the place and we all loved it, even our pup! Thank you ladies, we had such a great trip!
