Lots to do at the BlueDoor chalet!

Take advantage of the northern Michigan lifestyle in the coveted Hidden Hamlet association. Set on a private and nicely wooded 2 acre lot with Nubs Nob a short walk from the door and The Highlands at Harbor Springs across the street. Featuring a living area with cathedral ceilings and abundant natural light, central AC, primary bedroom, second bedroom, twin in hallway plus a loft perfect for kids and extra guests, garage and large workshop/storage area. Skiing, golf, biking, hiking and endless trails are all readily accessible and make this a perfect vacation or long weekend!

Only .4 miles away from Nubs! Drive or walk down Tyrol to the ticket window and green lift! Near golf courses, Petoskey and Downtown Harbor Springs!

Clean, spacious and dry basement/garage area to store your gear. Boot dryer, laundry and ski bench downstairs. Complete with extra trash and recycling bins.

Large wrap around deck with BroilKing grill and 6 person dining table in warm season. Off the steps- access to large side yard- horseshoes/fire. Hike up the hill for a great view!

Winter: Since we are on a hillside please use caution walking up and parking in front of garage. Do not park up to garage door (you will not make it). Pull straight up and there are 2 spaces and will be clearly marked where you can park. 4x4 required. Park off to the left for a 3rd vehicle. YakTrax provided for use while staying here. (During winter months where conditions exist)

Small dog friendly home - pets must be leashed while outdoors and cleaned up after. Pet fee noted in check out.

Well appointed kitchen with Keurig Drip and K-cup, mini food processor, tea pot, bullet blender, 4 slot toaster, electric skillet, rice cooker and air fryer. Custom knives, stoneware, stainless pots and pans. Basic pantry staples and coffee for guest use. Growler for local brewery use, champagne bucket, kids dishes, utensils and plastic cups also available. Extra leaves for dining table in closet and 2 folding chairs in basement. Plastic/Paper plates required for outdoor use.

55" QLED TV with Disney+/Hulu/Netflix/Prime Video/AppleTV/Discovery+. Cable and WiFi included. Second TV 43" and BluRay player located in loft.

Towels, sheets and pillows and paper products provided. Cooling sheets and hypo allergenic pillows. iComfort Queen mattresses and USB lamps with tray in bedrooms.

Fun on the Slopes!

This is our third year staying at the Chalet for our annual ski trip, and it never disappoints! It’s a fantastic location for skiing at Nubs or Boyne Highlands. The garage is perfect for storing ski gear, and the chalet has everything you need. The hosts are incredible—already looking forward to coming back!

Family Ski Trip

One of our favorite rentals ever. They supply everything you need for a perfect getaway. Living room has plenty of comfortable seating. Beds were comfortable. The lot is gorgeous (beautiful sunsets) and some wooded area where you can do a little sledding. The Host are very responsive to any questions you may have. If I could rate higher I would. Definitely plan on staying here again..

We really enjoyed staying here. The place was lovely, slept comfortably the group we had. There was everything we needed for cooking. The setting is secluded and the hosts were very response to the questions we had. When we come back...we will look here first!

The house was perfect for us. It is well-equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. The room at the bottom of the stairs was perfect for changing in and out of snowsport boots and apparel without tracking anything into the house. We would stay here again!

Memorial Day Weekend

It was great for our group. 3 separate sleeping areas we used, room for more. Only downside is steep driveway made parking difficult and steep/long stairs into home. Very nice furnishings.

This property was perfect for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with large pans, crockpot, etc. We loved how close we were to Nub’s. I would definitely book this place again!

We go up to Harbor Springs every summer for a week. Liked this place a lot. Easy drive to downtown. We all ate too much at the great restaurants and stayed in shape climbing stairs at the Chalet multiple times a day. Liked the garage entrance. Great Host. Hope to rent it again sometime.

Comfy and stocked

This house had super comfy beds and couch. We enjoyed warming up by the gas fireplace. It was great to have the K-cups for coffee and other household items so we didnt have to pack anything extra like ziplocs, condiments,etc. Close to Nubs and Highlands so we could freely go back and forth during the day.

Birthday Getaway

Lots of room and plenty of beds. Kitchen was stocked with anything you need. Large deck for out door grilling. Only cons are, the steep driveway, lots of stairs and the washer makes a loud banging when draining water. But over all 100% great place to stay.

Blue door Chalet

Great home and fair price however we had 4 men golfers. Advertised 4 bedrooms which it has 2 and a loft with beds more suited for kids and and bed in a hallway. So enjoyed home and owner was very nice but more suited for 2 adults rooms and kids.

Great spot with everything you need

We’ve rented 3 other homes in the area. This one was the best. Plenty of room to hang out - two TV spaces for kids and adults to hang or plenty of room to be all together. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels. Easy access to Nubs. We’ll be back!

Closet to it all!

The blue door chalet was a great home base for our "up north" vacation! From this central location, we were easily able to go biking, hiking, boating, shopping, and star gazing! The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful, and have really gone to a lot of trouble to make your stay a great one! The kitchen has all new appliances and everything you could need (and more!), bathrooms were super clean, and the view from the comfy couch in the family room is fantastic! We especially enjoyed the new grill and patio furniture, HE washer and dryer and access to the garage to store our bikes and other gear! As one review mentioned, one bedroom is an "open loft" as shown in the pictures so be prepared for downstairs noise to carry up to the people sleeping up there, but our kids loved being up there! Also, the kitchen table is a little tight if you have a full house, but we were able to squeeze in together when needed. Thanks, Katie, for all you did to help us have a great trip!

Hi and Thanks for your interest in the BlueDoor Chalet! It will soon become the BlueChair Chalet when we get it installed! We became owners of this home in November 2021 and will be using it throughout the season, renting it to you when we aren't here! We hope you will love this property like we do - 2 acres to hike up, bright windows in the living room. Rooms spread out over 3 levels.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We fell in love with Hidden Hamlet and love walking the neighborhood at night taking in the charm of the chalets. (yaktrax recommended!)

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We have stairs! 3 flights to be exact - lots of room to spread out.

We hope you'll enjoy our home and treat it like your own - we put the best in here so you can enjoy it, too!
