Lovely historic cottage, perfect location, would stay there again in a heartbeat. Junior library upstairs is amazing. Missed the disclaimer about BYO towels and sheets, be good to place that more prominently (or better yet start providing them). But we did find washing some left behind by previous guests.
Great location, quiet and comfortable cottage blocks to beach and dining
Everything was great - nice quiet, comfortable cottage blocks to beach, dining and boardwalk. Provided bikes for a great day biking at Gordonâs Pond Beach. Dog friendly, clean and conveniently location.
This place was perfect for young families, grandparents, and pets. We absolutely loved the screened in porch. We spent most of our time out on it telling stories, carving pumpkins, and planing our day. It is a great location to the beach and away from the noise of main shop street. Not time we stayed one road off of it and hated all the garbage trucks and deliveries to the restaurants. This street is peaceful and my 3 and 6 year old grandkids had no trouble walking to the beach and/or to the arcade/restaurant/shops. It rained all day our last day and the place is big enough we didn't go stir crazy. The beds were comfortable and cleaned throughout. We made memories and that is what it's all about! Thanks!
Great location!! When at the rental, spent most of our time on the spacious screened in porch. Appreciated the bikes and beach wagon. House has a king and queen size bed, not two queens. When asked to bring own sheets, need to be precise. Premises could have been cleaner.
Cottage was in a good location. Kitchen had ants. Toaster was broken. Parking permits were not there. Listed WiFi password was incorrect. I wouldnât even write this review but when I wrote to owner at the end of stay, he didnât respond. So wouldnât choose this property again.
Had a wonderful time! The house is so charming, the front porch and outside shower are a dream. Lovely historic cottage, and is the perfect vibe for what Rehobeth is. Walking distance to everything and canât wait to go back!
Great property in a quiet neighborhood. A quick two block walk to the beach. The walk to the main part of the broad walk was a bit far but this allowed for a less crowded and quieter beach experience.
We had a marvelous time!
Our vacation week was enjoyed from start to finish. The weather even cooperated! The house was very comfortable, and the location is great.
Loved the house and area. Location is great. You can walk to the beach and restaurants.
Inside is in good shape.
House needs some sprucing up outside and there is too much 'stuff' on the porch.
I would stay there again.
What a perfect location for a fall stay. We stayed for 6 weeks and everything was perfect. We walked to the boardwalk, the lake, and downtown. The house is a quaint old Rehoboth original cottage with many charming touches. An older but pleasant home.
Location is great, about a 10 minute walk to the beach and to the Main Street with many bars, restaurants, and shops!
Home is as expected, nice little backyard for our pups to run around. Everything was clean, kitchen has everything you would need to cook!
Beach chairs, bikes, and wagon in the garage which is a nice perk.
Overall, great experience!
My son and daughter in law specifically requested trying to rent this house again. Itâs our 4th time in it. We have stayed at 2 others that were nice but this is their favorite. Of course the weather being perfect didnât hurt
Two families stayed at the home between lacrosse tournaments in MD and DE. The location is great you can walk to the beach. There are many bikes to ride, and wagons to take your gear to the beach provided. The house is clean and was big enough to 4 adults and full sized teens. The host was responsive, and the experience was great.
I grew up going to Rehoboth 40 some years. We come back every year to continue the tradition for our child. This home is a short walk to the beach and great restaurants. It has everything you need for the trip to the beach or for a great dinner party staying in. Charming and cozy. The perfect setup up for a relaxing beach stay with family and friends. The house is historic which is part of what I loved it reminded my of the Renoboth I knew as a kid.
Absolutely charming "Old Rehoboth" cottage. Loved that the owner kept many period details and furnished it with period appropriate pieces and decor. The lot is private with a nice rear garden. We walked everywhere we wanted to go in downtown Rehoboth. It was March, but we still enjoyed the fabulous wrap-around screened porch. Well equipped kitchen, and altogether a comfortable place to stay. The online description is mostly accurate, but one of the downstairs bedrooms has a king bed, not a queen as described online, so we did have to go out and buy some king size sheets. Would absolutely stay here again!
The weather was hideous and the owner tried to help us but the heating system did not turn on. We tried to make do with fireplace fired and the owner sent space heaters, but in the end he was great about refunding our money and we went home.
The location of the home is excellent. An easy walk to the beach or town. We loved riding the provided beach bikes each day on the boardwalk, around Silver Lake, and to Henlopen State park. The house has a lot of charm. The front porch is comfortable for early morning cups of coffee or afternoon/evening porch sitting. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. The description of the home needs to be updated. There is a king size bed in bedroom with a Queen bed in another bedroom, both downstairs. The hall bathroom has a clawfoot bathtub and stand up shower in the corner. Upstairs one bedroom has 2 twin beds. The other bedroom has 3 single beds. The bathroom has a full size showers The upstairs rooms have in room AC units making the bedrooms comfortable and cool. The outside shower has both hot & cold water for easy clean up after a trip to the beach. There is a nice beach wagon provided for carrying gear to the beach as well. The house has provided paper towels, soaps for laundry, dishwasher, sink and hands. Sponges and a few dish towels provided. There are table clothes for the outdoor porch table. One twin bed needs a new mattress pad, stain made it unusable. The parking pass is needed through September 15 according to City signs posted. There were some issues with messes left by previous guests such as soiled laundry bed linens left in washer (never started) dirty dishes in the dishwasher ( drying mode doesnât work well) plastic dishes had begun to mold.
Great stay in this Rehoboth Beach Cottage. New comfortable beds and cold AC downstairs. Upstairs rooms with 5 twin beds was warmer but a portable A/C and fan helped a lot. Maybe bring an additional fan. Cleanliness in a few areas could be better and the cottage is showing some wear. Old coffee filter was moldy, dirty wet laundry was in wash and not started, dishes were wet and not put up. Minor things. Book needs updating of local contact, but message via VRBO worked great and was responded to promptly. Kitchen is well equipped, almost too much âstuffâ and careful much isnât microwave safe. Screened front porch was an awesome hang out spot all week.
What a lovely house!
It is furnished in an attractive way that makes you feel you are visiting someone's (or your) own home. Whatever we needed was there. For my husband and me, and our three young-adult "children", there was plenty of room -- inside, on the front wrap-around porch, in the back terrace -- for each to find private space, or all to be together.
Bikes are provided: tires already pumped up and ready to go! We walked or biked everywhere -- enjoyed nearly car-free riding in Henlopen area, and beside Silver Lake. The beach is only a short, pleasant couple of blocks away. Restaurants we enjoyed:The Cultured Pearl for sushi and music, the family-run Corner Grill for breakfast, and Lili Thai for dinner. All-in-all, it was perfect for us. We felt like invited guests!
