Our bunkhouse will have you transported to the past but also the future. It is the original bunkhouse to our historic working ranch property. We love our bunkhouse because its old but modern. It's a cozy bunkhouse nestled at the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains. It has been completely redone to bring old world charm to the present. Our property has goats, horses and chickens oh my! As you drive to our property you will leave the world behind and settle into the tranquility that the Santa Ynez Valley has to offer. We are located away from the hustle and bustle of life, the space will bring you peace and serenity. Whether you are having a girls wine weekend or just a get away you will not be disappointed. The outdoor space is also beautiful grasslands. We are surrounded by vineyards, horses and working ranches. It seems like you are worlds away but in reality you can visit any of the small towns the valley has to offer in less than 20 minutes. The ocean is 12 miles away and the Gaviota coast is a 30 minute drive. We truly are a beautiful corner of Santa Barbara County. We have the latest Wi-Fi available, along with a mesh router system, even though we have the best we can get it isn’t perfect all the time. Country living!!! Our internet service is Starlink. TV is a smart TV, just bring your own passwords. This is a non smoking property and we like to keep our neighbors happy with quiet time from 9pm to 9am. We had a wonderful and peaceful girls weekend at the farmhouse bunkhouse! It was comfortable and tastefully decorated. Lots of shade from the beautiful oak trees on warm summer days. Loved it and highly recommend for a quiet getaway.

Beautiful stay with dog

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at the ranch with our golden retriever. The property was absolutely pristine with lots of space to walk and explore. The property is also home to friendly horses, chickens, dogs, and cats. Our little ranch was new, clean, and comfortable. Would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Winter Stay

This property is truly special. The bungalow is outfitted comfortably and heated quickly when we arrived late on a cold night. Our toddler loved waking up and walking to visit all of the animals, including the easy walk to see the cattle herd. On-site staff were friendly and accommodating. Really lovely staying in the country, but having easy access to the Santa Ynez area.

Trip to Santa Ynez

We had a great stay at this ranch....very comfortable, relaxing time. Fun having all the farm animals around and roosters in the morning. Furnishingswere great...beds very comfortable ...well though out and designed for bunkhouse feel. Large property with many oak trees....breezy in the afternoon. Our dog had a great time with all the yard space. HIGHLY recommended !

Oak shaded ranch paradise

We are a couple with two dogs who stayed 2 nights here and adored our stay! The cottage is clean and has all the necessities: Wi-Fi, excellent coffee, rainhead shower. The setting is gorgeous! Green grass, mature oaks and horse country abounds. We even were gifted a half dozen freshly laid eggs from the ranch chickens who clucked all day competing with the cooing of doves in the trees. Our dogs ran and played with the ranch dogs and sniffed the horses and chickens. All around great stay!

Beautiful Property and Remote Getaway

This was such a beautiful getaway driving in from Los Angeles. It's very remote, and off the beaten path but the house was charming and the beds were comfortable. It was amazing to wake up to the sound of the roosters and chickens, with horses and goats just a few hundred feet away from the house. Our 2 year old keeps asking us to go back to the farm! The managers on the property were also very friendly and helpful, and let us enjoy all the animals. And there are many horses all along the way as you drive in. We will be back!

Idyllic

The bunkhouse is lovely. Thoughtful, high end finishes and upgrades throughout, it felt even better in person than the photos conveyed! The bunkhouse is situated near (but not too close) to the other on property rental, with a lovely expansive grassy area. The barn, chickens, goats, and horses are all a short walk away and we enjoyed sipping our morning coffee while walking along the pastures. Would definitely rebook and even consider a return visit renting both units for a larger gathering. Close to Solvang and activities, but you still felt away from it all.

Pictures Beautiful !

Imagine yourself in a painting with rolling hills , a beautiful red barn and an infinite green view . A white farm house with a warm modern design . Comfortable beds and the most calming vibe. The host was very communicative and the family that takes care of the farm were friendly and accommodating. We loved walking up in the mornings to take a walk to see the horses in the barn and the newborn baby goats . Take a long walk through the fields and see the cows . A short ride to Los Olivos and Solvang for great food and wineries. A 40 min ride to Santa Barbara. We had a lovely and very relaxing weekend. Definitely planning to come back .

Weekend getaway

Beautiful, pastoral location and comfortable, cozy cottage! We so enjoyed visiting with the horses and goats...the ranch is pristine! We went into Los Olivos and Santa Ynez for shopping and eating...such charming nearby locations made for a wonderful getaway.

Amazing property, lovely guest house, wonderful spacious area to play with our baby daughter. She loved meeting the animals. The ranch staff were very welcoming and friendly. Very convenient to get to wineries and all the local towns. Will be back for sure.

A dream place for toddlers who love animals

This was our first trip away from home with a toddler. It was the perfect place for him! The animals kept him happy as we visited them multiple times a day. The communication with the host was excellent and the people who live on the property were always helpful and friendly. I recommend the other listing in the farm if you are planning on cooking since the kitchenette is quite small.

Isabell and her family instantly fell in love with the wonderful Santa Ynez Valley. They bought the working cattle ranch in November 2020 in quaint and tranquil Happy Canyon with its amazing views of the San Rafael and Sierra Madre Mountains. They focused on the extensive renovations of the two traditional ranch houses and on preserving the unique character of the houses yet adding all modern amenities to provide a comfortable atmosphere. As of January 2022 they are super excited to start renting them out to visitors..
