Head outside: Located on the Monadnock Recreational Rail Trail, you can walk, run or bike along a flat path through forests, through the wetlands on the western edge of Contoocook Lake with beautiful sweeping views of the lake and its wildlife. If you are here in summer, you’ll enjoy the smell of pine trees and wildflowers. In the fall, be on the lookout for turtles hatching on the sandy banks.
Launch the two kayaks or stand-up paddleboards from the dock and take in the breathtaking views of the Contoocook River; paddle down the winding passage to explore the pristine 344-acre Lake Contoocook.
The house’s five bedrooms comfortably sleep 7-9, depending on who will sleep in the queen beds. The first floor holds a master bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom, a bedroom with a queen bed, a bedroom with a full bed, and a hall bathroom with shower. Head upstairs for a large bedroom with a queen bed and full Murphy bed as well as a bedroom with a full bed; these two rooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom.
