Picturesque sunset views perfect for couples, families and fishermen

"The DOME" is a unique home with two master suites and a kid's room with a bunk bed. Two additional adult size cots stored in entrance closet for groups looking to spread out. Ample parking for trailers along with over two hundred feet of floating dock at the lake end of a private channel, this home is begging to host families for a vacation of fishing, kayaking, and watersports. One side of the property borders a Lake County Land Trust reserve with many species of herons, egrets, osprey, ducks, turtles, otters, deer and raccoons are routinely observed.

Annual lake visit

Our family tries to make an annual trip to the lake and enjoy renting a different VRBO each time . This was one of the most comfortable and best located properties we have experienced. Thanks to the hosts for maintaining a lovely property. We would surely recommend the location to anyone asking .

Great Experience

Last summer trip before the kids went back to school. We’ve never been to Lakeport or to Clear Lake. This property was just amazing. Steeped with history and family legacy. My wife and I were fascinated with the history of the property. Add to that the phenomenal location right on the water and the incredible design of the home, and suffice it to say the trip was just everything we hoped for. Last but certainly not least, the property manager was responsive, like, replied within 3-5 minutes to any questions we had. This is a 5 out of 5 stay if I’ve ever had one. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great view, direct access to the lake, interesting history and architecture, and great service.

Charming and Fun!

This is a unique and charming home, in a great location! Comfortable for our group, beautiful view of the water and wildlife, all kinds of birds, good fishing and overall, very comfortable. The home is stocked with the things you'd need and we loved sitting on the couch and watching the lake.

2024 annual guys fishing trip

We’ve stayed 3 years now at the octagon house, always a great time, love the location , private dock and setting! Great amount of parking and space for vehicles with boat trailers! Can’t wait to come back for 2025 trip!

Perfect location

This place was amazing !!!! Perfect location and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need and the house was SO CLEAN!!! The sunsets were beautiful . There were games to play and all the beds were super comfortable. Everything was very true to the listing and we are so happy we were able to experience a weekend at the dome!!

Nice spot for our family

We booked this place last minute Labor day weekend. I'm surprised a place like this was still available. My two boys fished all weekend from the docks. They loved it. Caught plenty of fish. Host communication was great. Easy check in and out. We would absolutely stay here again!

Fishing Trip

Plenty of parking for 3 trucks and trailers. Unique house, would be a cool spot for anyone looking to stay on the lake.

The Dome is awesome!

The kids loved the stay here and ran from room to room looking at all the cool attributes of each. The house was so comfortable and right at the water inlet. Our fishing guide even picked us up from the dock! We will stay here when we come.back and highly recommend the property!

Lake stay

Nice property. The house has everything you could need. Clear Lake itself is anything but clear for swimming with kids, but we had a lot of fun tubing off the dock. The owners added a ladder on the dock while we were there and that made it much easier to get in and out. There is no beach/walk in access here but the state park nearby is nice.

Dad and two adult sons, a Dome house, a lake with fish? what more could you ask for?

Excellent home, beautiful setting, fabulous wildlife to watch and just really relaxing. Thanks to the dock on the property it was easy coming and going on the lake. The hosts were wonderful with great communications and just really nice couple. Thanks very much for sharing your bit of heaven.

We Never Wanted To Leave!

We Loved our Stay at “The Dome” and are already planning our return. The Home is So Unique, Clean & Well Stocked. You can take in the Beautiful View while relaxing inside or outside The hosts were So Kind and promptly replied to any questions we had. Looking Forward to returning!

Surpassed expectations

Annual fishing trip, I think seventh property we’ve stayed at in past 10 years on CL. This was best and I write this, we’re scheduled to return in June to this house. Got to meet PJ and they were great. Location, contents of the house and cleanliness were first rate. Loved it

Second stay this year. Already talking about dates for next spring with the guys fishing trip we do every year. We have stayed in 6 other properties on CL and this is easily the best with location, room for trucks/trailers, close to Lakeport, extremely well supplied, great docks, great view

Beautiful Location, Unique Experience

We really enjoyed our time here. Don’t overpack. They have most of what you need there. The hosts were very responsive to questions and there were no issues. The place is clean, well maintained, and undoubtedly loved. When you read the history of the place, you can’t help but adore and be amazed at every personal touch. The place has a very calm, tranquil artsy feel. We were able to dock our boat, fish, and relax the whole time. This is a definite gem.

Peaceful, beautiful, and nurturing

We absolutely loved our stay here! What a relaxing and beautiful place to be! Located at the end of a quiet lane, adjoining the water, the dome is only a few minutes’ drive away from nice restaurants, parks, and trails. It’s a spacious place with multiple beds, bathrooms, and seating areas inside 
 and a nice, big covered patio, yard, and dock area outside. The hosts are GREAT communicators who think of everything you might need (from kitchen utensils to games and books). Again 
 we loved it!!! 😊
