We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Tonyâs Conch Retreat! Plenty of space, lovely furnishings, local artwork, very comfortable bed, as well as everything we needed to prepare meals.
Beautiful decor, walking distance to town & restaurants was a plus, as parking was limited. So much to do, Meredith the manager was very helpful if you had questions. Overall a beautiful experience!
Tonyâs Conch Retreat was comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. It was good for both work and relaxation, with a desk in a side room and a secluded private balcony. The location is convenient to restaurants and shopping, while the house itself is on a peaceful street. I loved my stay!
The property was as described.
Pros: Very Clean, A/C worked well, convenient to all Old Town attractions, reasonable value for the price, well stocked with a few exceptions, interior hallway unit entrance, attentive host.
Cons: 2nd floor walk-up unit, dark interior due to extremely large angled overhanging roof extension (I'm talking 6-8ft) hanging above and down over 2/3rds of windows, not a great kitchen for cooking (no functional vent), but very functional for very basic cooking, missing a few kitchen items like a colander and oven casserole type dishes.
I gave it 3 stars, basis the quality of the building, and interior, and bed comfort. It was very clean, and well stocked with dish & laundry supplies, as well as bath towels....which were of a high quality. It is an older building, and the interior reflects that as well. The bed is a queen, and the mattress was not very comfortable. After a week, we were longing for an improved mattress. For those that are budget conscious, I would recommend this unit. If you are looking for a higher end experience, this one will leave you wanting.
Tonyâs Conch Retreat was the perfect place for us to stay. The historic building is located within walking distance to the marina, Mallory Square and Duval Street just to name a few! The unit itself was so beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It felt like home the minute we walked in! Meredith was a wonderful host and attended to anything we needed. We will be definitely be back!
Stayed here for a month. Our last stay was in Truman Complex at a ~50% higher rate so have to temper this review accordingly. Not a bad place but not great either. General location is good but separation from the direct offset units is a thin wall so had some noise issues. Pool is tiny, so fun only for toddlers (fyi). Place was very clean, and fairly well appointed. Overall interior was nice. Master mattress needs replacing. BBQ grill was not useable during our stay but was replaced on our last day. Upstairs back patio was very comfortable.
