Everything was as perfect as it can get. Very and comfortable lodgings. Pool access. Local restaurants, shops and beaches within walking distance. Absolutely loved our stay
We spent a week in Key West and our little bungalow was a highlight! It was the perfect place to come back to at the end of the day! The pool was amazing! Not too cool and not too warm! The bungalow was clean and the bed was comfortable! We highly recommend this property! 10/10
Really nice property just as the photos had everything we needed, great surroundings with character the pool area was perfect and well kept a very relaxing and friendly environment . The attached history to the Conch Republic was very interesting and maintained.
Communications with Roberta were again very easy and in a timely & friendly manner
Easy walk to Duval st and other attractions.
All in all a great place to stay and would highly recommend
Cute little cottage. Clean, spacious, great proximity to everything. Pool was literally right off the back steps. Perfect temperature and crystal clean. Rented bikes for the week, easy to get around with quiet neighborhood and streets. Homeowners were very gracious and offered lots of suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We will be back.
We Luv this place, is soo00OO chill. We stayed in the 1 BR "Bungalow". Very clean and well maintained, gorgeous, mature landscaping. The host is really nice. Pool nice & warm. Good water pressure in the shower :) Short 7 minutes walk to Duvall Street. Roberta the property manager is fantastic, very responsive, actually proactive. Highly recommend.
My wife and I spent a week in Key West in early December, staying at the lovely old cottage at 823B Virginia Street. The dedicated off-street parking spot was a bonus, as was access to a nice washer/dryer. Roberta Mira was excellent to work with and very prompt in sharing information. We would recommend the property if the size fits your needs. Most especially, we advise working with Ms. Mira when visiting Key West.
This quaint little bungalow has everything you need. We walked about 21 miles overall during our 8 day stay but we were able to see so many amazing things. We went fishing, went on a sunset cruise, walked to several of the museums. We were Awed by the rich history. I think we actually ate our way through Key West and still had a few meals in the bungalow. Oh did I mention the almost private pool. We loved that, after a long day walking we would come back and soak in the pool for a while. We also got a bonus as we were there during hurricane Milton. We were not really affected by the storm but our flight out was cancelled. Spoke with Roberta and we were able to stay another night. Overall we had a blast!!!
Pros: proximity to most things on the island, nice little pool, fenced yard to store bikes without locking them up, cold AC.
Cons: I canât really think of any. Maybe thought the cleaning fee was steep.
Loved the location. Clean, accommodating property. Would recommend and definitely will be back. Nice that there was a pool to come back to after a fun day out and about.
We really enjoyed our stay here. There was ample space, especially for a couple. The location is excellent, close to Duval St., beach, or southernmost area. We rang in the new year while staying here and the access is easy, well lit, and off street parking for one vehicle. The kitchen was stocked with what youâd need to prepare a meal, full size fridge is a plus, and microwave and stove. The only thing to point out is the shower is cramped and Iâm a tall guy. The shower worked great and had plenty of hot water. It was too cold to try out the pool but the property is beautiful and would be a great place to relax in the common use area. If looking for a great place in Key West, look to book here.
Our stay in key west was made that much better by this cute little property. It was clean and cozy in a great location. We were close enough to âthe actionâ of duval street without being on top of it. Also having the convenience of a CVS just a short walk away was perfect for the forgetful traveler or last minute needs.
Would absolutely recommend this property to other couples looking to stay in key west. The pool was a definite plus and was alway clean. Donât forget to give some love to the resident outdoor cat who was absolutely adorable and the sweetest cat I have ever met!
This old Key West style bungalow is in a great location. Quiet neighborhood, with a short walk to the southern end of Duval Street. We had a scooter, which made getting around even quicker and easier. Ubers are plentiful and quick to arrive.
The property is surrounded by tropical foliage, and the shared pool is just steps from either door. The inside is clean and comfy. There are two other houses on the property, but we didn't even notice them, and felt like the house was ours alone.
For cat lovers, Kitty resides on the property, and will show up if you call, for food and pets.
We can't wait to go back, and highly recommend this lovely bungalow!
Great little cottage, located away from the hussle but close enough to walk/bike/ride to the sites. Private parking place, great little pool to cool off, and best of all Roberta the property manager was super responsive to any questions we had. The property owners live in the main house, and we had a chance to chat with them and they too were extremely pleasant and nice people to meet. We only saw them once while there, the cottage is really private and you can be left alone if you so choose. Great place, would stay here again.
The house was the perfect size for two. We had everything we needed. Pool was just steps from the house and was the perfect temperature. Close to Duvall Street yet far enough away to have quiet evenings.
We had a lovely stay. Private pool to unwind after a day of shopping and fun. We rented a scooter that allowed us to explore the island with ease⊠with no parking fees! Definitely want to return!
Cute and comfortable cottage, private and quiet. Comes with a welcoming Kitty. Having our bicycles made it so easy to get around. Two day stay was too short.
My husband and I had such a wonderful stay here at the cottage! Miss Kitty was a huge bonus too and such a sweetheart! This location is only several blocks from Duval which made it quick and convenient to walk to and from throughout the day. We will definitely be looking to stay here again on our next trip to Key West!
It is really tough and I do not like to provide negative reviews, but this one is. I followed other reviews up to the point of "moving in". I sensed also that all was not well, but when making contact about building works etc I was told all was well and there would be no disturbance nor building works going on. However, whilst the building works was minimal whilst we were there, it was a building site, particularly around the our allocated parking. One of the guys that was frequently around the place actually advised us against parking there, because it "is a building site, full of screws and nails". The communcation with the property manager was one way and of an autocratic nature. I sent one mail asking for clarification on check out early on during our stay, but got no response. But when it came to telling us what to do she was good at communicating that. 10% discount was offered before our stay - due to inconvenience because of building works. The cottage itself is described as conch style, which would be fine, but it feels like it was built late 1950's or early 1960's - and nothing has been done to the interior since then - that was the perception we were left with.
The only thing that in our view was positive was the lovely resident cat, Kitty.
We absolutely loved our stay in The Bungalow Cottage! It was exactly what we needed! The pool was an added bonus. It was much needed each morning after a late night out on duval st. We definitely plan to go back asap! Roberta was a pleasure to deal with. She was always available to answer any questions. We also enjoyed sitting on the porch and by the pool with Kitty.
I am born and raised in Key West so a true "Conch". I have been managing this property for over 14 years. I am also a Realtor for over 40 years and know the Island well. I love this Island and the beautiful sunsets, ocean, bird watching and painting.
The neighborhood consists of many Conch families and new comers. You get the sense of what old Key West living is all about. There is a local restaurant called El Siboney that locals and visitors love just a short walk from the cottage and famous Duval Street is a short walk from the property.
This is a unique property that brings repeat renters coming back for more. I feel that speaks for itself and is the highest compliment a property can have. It is well taken care of with mature landscaping and a nice size in ground swimming pool. There are 3 private cottages on property with assigned parking spaces which is a plus in the downtown location. The location makes enjoying the historic district and famous Duval Street a easy walk or bike ride which is important if not bringing a car.
