Cottage Rose is a large Victoria house in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. There's everything you need and the extra linens and new washer & dryer were very much appreciated. The owner and property manager were easy to get in touch with and helpful. Belfast is a nice little harbor town with some good restaurants and things to do.We had a relaxing vacation here.
My family and I instantly felt at home in this beautiful vacation rental! The building and yard were as charming as the photos showed and we loved how easy it was to get to Belfast's downtown. The owner was always available whenever we needed her and the home was very clean and well maintained.
Very comfortable and roomy Victorian house throughly brought up to date with modern kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of comfortable rooms and seating, very much enjoyed the back porch and patio. Judy was an attentive and friendly hostess
Spacious town house in attractive neighborhood. Easy to walk to center, great shopping, farmerâsâ market, beautiful Victorian architecture. A comfortable house with interesting artwork, nice kitchen.
lovely, historic home with beautiful, large living spaces downstairs. During our stay we ranged from two - six guests, plenty of room for all. Great new Weber grill for cooking outdoors. Lovely neighborhood, walking distance to town, harbor and all that Belfast has to offer, even in Covid times. Thank you Judi for letting us stay in your wonderful home.
This property was perfect for us. It was located near family and friends as well as close to other cities we wanted to visit.
It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. It would have been nice to have had (but not necessary) access to local TV stations for news and weather...
We would love to stay again sometime.
Judy's house is in a lovely neighborhood - walking distance to both downtown and Belfast City Park, but on a quiet dead end street. Plenty of living space on the first floor. Nice kitchen stocked with good cookware and essentials.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood. It is within walking distance to downtown and to restaurants, food market, pubs, harbor, ice cream, parks, etc. Parking in the side driveway makes going in and out very easy. We visited Belfast in summer and the town was not crowded like many of the other towns along route 1. Belfast is in a good location for easy day trips if you want to explore outside of the Belfast area. We enjoyed driving up to Mt. Battie, (great view of harbor) Camden Hills State Park and for our next visit we may explore Arcadia National Park.
The house is a charming single victorian. It is well spaced out and decorated with furniture and paintings that add to the victorian feel. The beds are comfortable and the house is very clean. The back porch is a great place to have morning coffee/tea if you are staying in. The owner is very accommodating and nice to work with. Looking forward to our next visit!!
This is a beautiful, spacious, clean, well appointed home in a historic neighborhood of Belfast. The home is so nice that one might wish it would remain so one could curl up with a good book in this comfortable setting. The house is an easy walk to downtown Belfast and its harbor front. Belfast is a beautiful town with out the gentrified sameness of other coastal destinations. The rental transaction was efficient. Would have liked to stayed longer.
Judy is great host, thoughtful, warm and caring. Bill was helpful with any questions we had. The kitchen is spacious, and well equipped. Great refrigerator, five burner gas range, Bosch. Dishwasher. Weber grill, new washer and dryer on the second floor. Beds are comfortable, dinning and living rooms nicely furnished with art work The front and back porches are delightful as is the patio. A beautiful victorian in a quit neighborhood and a great town
The Rose Cottage is a lovely classic New Englander, very clean and nicely decorated. Great kitchen and fully equipped -- we cooked most evenings at home -- and very quiet comfortable bedrooms. Separate TV room and a large comfortable living area to have friends over. The house is on a very quiet street within easy walk into downtown Belfast. We had a great time.
Rose Cottage was thoughtfully and generously equipped with all we could need. The furnishings were attractive and comfortable. The location was perfect for walking to town or relaxing in the shade.
After many years of day trips to Belfast, we were excited to spend a week there and Judy's charming Victorian was the perfect spot for us. Spacious, well-appointed, and a short stroll to town through a lovely neighborhood, it also had gorgeous flowers blooming, and we especially loved the spectacular pink hydrangeas. The beds were comfortable, the area quiet, and we slept well. Morning coffee in the sunny living room bay window was the perfect spot to plan the day's adventures. We had fun hosting friends for dinner on a rainy evening and the house was cozy and comfortable for a delightful evening. We loved our visit and highly recommend Cottage Rose! One suggestion - written directions for the TV & convection oven would be helpful.
Rose Cottage is a warm, comfortable, roomy house that is located in a quiet walkable residential neighborhood. Judy, the owner, communicates well and is very pleasant to deal with. The kitchen is well stocked, the furniture is comfortable and there is plenty of room to spread out. The location is perfect - a short walk to downtown with its many restaurants and shops, the Harbor Front or beautiful Belfast City Park. Or you can wander around the neighborhood and enjoy the variety of lovely old houses. This is definitely the place to stay if you are visiting Belfast.
A short step back in time in this Victorian cottage situated 5 minutes from Belfastâs picturesque harbor. Low key, super quiet neighborhood surrounds this quaint two-bedroom frame house with updated kitchen, cozy living room, and separate dining/TV rooms. Privacy porch for morning coffee and small reading nook on second level add to the laidback ambience of the home. The century-old Victrola record player in the hallway is enchanting!
We were very happy staying in this beautiful house for the week of Thanksgiving. The house is beautifully furnished, and really gives you that authentic New England Victorian experience. And the town is very special. The people are friendly, the stores are full of hand-made arts and crafts, antiques, beautifully curated clothing stores, etc. You have to order pizza from Alexias (I think itâs called) and Thai food from Rice and Noodle Thai Restaurant â the food from both places was exceptional. We had a slight issue when we first got there with the Internet, but Judy got it fixed right away â she was very helpful and eager to make sure our stay was pleasant and trouble-free. Our only (very minor) complaint would be that the fireplace was inoperable, but in the end we didnât really even miss it.
Excellent location in nice quiet neighborhood within walking distance to town and harbor.
Belfast is a great little town and this property was just what we were looking for. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Guests may want to be attentive to the railings to the second floor. They are a little rickety so might present a problem for anyone with active children or people who have difficulty with stairs. Otherwise, we had a very enjoyable stay and would stay there again.
Very beautiful house with lots of personality. Well appointed kitchen and lots of hot water for the shower. Both check in and out were very smooth and Judy was understanding and worked with our changing schedule. Conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood about a mile from downtown. Would definitely recommend.
My husband and I had a wonderful five nights in Judy's home in Belfast. The house is absolutely beautiful and Belfast is a great town. We hope to come back soon!
Wonderful antique home with all modern amenities on a quiet street full of historic homes
Highly recommend to anyone visiting Belfast. Location is close to center and all other amenities, all within walking distance. Host is very professional and house is completely ready for guests.
What a lovely time we had in Belfast, Maine staying in this beautiful and comfortable home from August 6-15, 2020! Our last vacation was in November 2019 and with the stresses and strains over the past six months due to coronavirus, we really needed a break to relax and refresh and Judyâs beautiful home, fit the bill perfectly!đ
Three other âsetsâ of our extended family had each also rented other properties in Belfast and because we had all taken good care to arrive to Maine with negative coronavirus testâs, we were able to visit with one another and enjoy a wonderful family time together. Judyâs home quickly became the go-to place for larger gatherings and we celebrated my nieceâs 16th birthday with a wonderful outdoor cookout, which was so easy to do with the newer gas grill, the table and seating on the porch, the table and seating on the patio, and even a wonderful old-fashioned picnic table next to the patio.đ
We particularly loved the location of this home as it is just a 10 to 12 minute walk to downtown â a perfect way to connect with all that downtown Belfast and the beautiful harbor has to offer - from cute gift and clothing stores, to delicious restaurantâs, to gorgeous views, to hiking the rail trail â this was our first trip to Belfast and it will definitely not be our last!!
We canât thank Judy enough for sharing her beautiful home for lucky renters like ourselves and we highly recommend checking this place out if youâre ever going to be in Belfast and are looking for a comfortable and well appointed place to stay!đ
We enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable tow weeks in this lovely Belfast home. The house is well-outfitted with comfortable, clean furniture throughout. There are plenty of linens and towels, a television, WiFi, etc The kitchen is also well-equipped and clean with a breakfast bar and new appliances.
Belfast is a great jumping off point to explore many beautiful towns and villages in central Maine: Camden to the south, Castine and the Blue Hills area to the north.
When we were hanging aroundBelfast we enjoyed the many shops and restaurants as well as the park and the new River Walk along the harbor.
We hope to return to this comfortable and charming house.
