Home conveniently located to grocery stores and variety of restaurants. The inside was clean and master bedroom / main living space was quite comfortable. There were only two of us, so the other two bedrooms were not used. Our host was responsive and communicated arrival and departure instructions in a timely fashion. The backyard was a good size for the dogs to play, but unkept and we wished there were stairs leading down from the deck. I echo other guests comments on noice coming from the highway being quite loud as well as the quality of the deck and fence. The deck has some loose boards and the fence is damaged, so both should be fixed to ensure a safe, dog-friendly space. The grass was also very long and lots of limbs/tree debris in both the front and back yard as well as on the roof.Bathroom on the back side of the house needs to have a better functioning shower. The second shower works quite well, but there arenât any outlets for hairdryer. One thing to consider is to upgrade to a gas grill.
Even though the interior of the house did not match up exactly with the listing, it was still a nice place to stay. However, there were lots of limbs and trash in the back yard that made it look extremely messy and uncared for, and the traffic noise behind the fence (I-270, I guess?) was loud enough to discourage outdoor sitting. The deck was nice enough, but again, terribly loud out there. Stairs leading down from the deck would have been helpful in taking my dog outside to do her business or leaving the garage door to the back yard unlocked, though we did become accustomed to going downstairs to the basement in order to access the back yard. It is a nice neighborhood in which to walk, and the neighbors seem friendly. The house comfortably housed four adults and two children, though more surface space would have been much appreciated in bedrooms and bathrooms on which to set things down.
This property was great for our stay. More instructions on what we needed to done upon leaving the property (stripping beds, used towels, etc.) would have been helpful as each host is different. Otherwise, a great place easily located to many restaurants and interstate. Highly recommend!
The home was very cozy and felt like a home away from home. We had family that lived near the area and informed us of trash pick up on Friday so we made sure the trash was picked up as to not have the trash can over flowing. My wife and kids enjoyed our short stay there and we would definitely book again at this property. The host was very receptive and sent warm wishes on Thanksgiving Day. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!
This was our second time staying at this property, and our experience was just as good as the first. The place is clean, it's convenient to where we needed to go, and Jenny was a great host. I look forward to returning!
Cute house, cozy neighborhood with ease of getting around town to grocery shop. Close to highway which made visiting family & friends easy. It was a great stay & would rent again if in the area.
good place to unwind after a long day out, cute and quiet neighborhood close to restaurants and stores. A well equipped house with everything you need to feel right at home.
The house was clean and spacious and comfortable and well equiped. The backyward was somewhat noisy due to the highway but if being outside isn't your thing, then no issue.
We stayed 2 nights, and everything was as listed online. It would be helpful to note that all bedrooms are on the main level. The house was very nice and was well cared for. There is a finished portion of the basement downstairs that was a neat, unexpected perk. Jenny was an excellent host and responded quickly. We hope to stay again. Thanks.
This little home was great for our stay in St. Louis. Close to grocery store and easy to get to from a main highway through the city. looked like a great neighborhood. Beds were comfortable and all the features were great. The only draw back is due to the fact that you are so close to the highway. The road noise is quite loud in the back yard as well as the back bedroom. Everything else was great!
Great property for my family who was visiting with dogs. Plenty of room. A bit noisy from being close to 270 but I'm a light sleeper so put ear plugs in and it didn't bother me. Jenny was wonderful to work with.
Property was clean and conviently located for our purposes. However, lack of drawers and hangers to unpack. Or, if not unpacking, need places to set suitcases (tabletops, tray tables, etc.). Also, broken lamp next to master bed, and many lamps with no bulbs.
House was evrthing we were looking for. Noise from 270 right behind the fence in the back yard is somewhat annoying but becomes less if an issue as you get settled
This house suited our purpose just fine. We didn't spend a lot of time there because we were there for a function. Jenny was spectacular to deal with however!
The property is easy to find and quickly accessed from the interstate. I underestimated the other reviewersâ comments about the interstate noise, because me own home is on the oceanfront and an angry sea can set off my iPhoneâs noise level warning. But the noise level outside this property is legitimately loud. And the lawn â front and back â is covered in downed branches and limbs and some are on the roof, as well. The fenced backyard is large, but because of the damaged privacy fence on two sides of the backyard, the trash on the ground and the downed branches everywhere, it wasnât really a dog-friendly outdoor space for me to let my puppy get some off-leash exercise during this overnight pit stop on our travels. All that aside, the host was fantastic. She accommodated my need to change my reservation date due to car trouble en route. She allowed me to check out one hour late to accommodate a virtual appt scheduled at the usual check-out time. And when my rush to pack up my puppyâs gear resulted in my having left my own bag behind, my host contacted me to let me know it was there and where I could pick it up after hours. If you travel a lot, you come to value an accommodating host just as much as you value clean, l comfortable and convenient accommodations. For that reason, Jenny Thai has created an overall 5-star experience for her guests.
