Closest Inn to Deep Water in St James City. Perfect for monthly rentals!

Welcome to Southernmost Inn on Pine Island! Come and enjoy a relaxing stay on the water in our "Lure Suite". Compared to any other Inn on Pine Island we can honestly say, "If you had stayed at the Southernmost, you could be fishing already!" Avoid the ten to fifteen-minute boat ride up the canal's "no wake" zones.

Lure is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom suite with a full kitchen so is perfect for short or long stays. The bathroom has a walk-in shower for easy in and out. Our boat dock is right off the lanai as are the beautiful sunsets over San Carlos Bay. There are charcoal bbq's along the dock and a fish cleaning station available. Slips are available for your own boat or a boat can be arranged as part of your stay, both for an additional charge.

There is a King bed in the bedroom and the living room has a sleeper sofa, so 4 can sleep comfortably.

There is a full kitchen with everything you need to enjoy making your own meals, or you can go right next door to The Waterfront restaurant. There are also many other restaurants in the area.

You can sit and sip your coffee and enjoy the water view while sitting in the screened lanai. You will see many forms of Florida wildlife! There is also a small sandy beach a one-minute walk from the property.

Laundry facilities and kayaks are available for an extra charge. Contact us for details!

The apartment was very nice and the view was amazing! The apartment was clean except for the bathroom. There was mold in the grout in the shower and the glass door was covered in soap scum and the floor in the bathroom was dirty. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

I am so sorry the bathroom was in that condition! I will make sure that gets cleaned as that is not its usual state. I can’t imagine why it was not cleaned properly and I will make sure it never happens again.

Louise’s place is awesome!

My partner and I came for three nights and very much enjoyed Louise’s studio. There was a full kitchen, coffee amenities and a fabulous view of the boat docks and water inlet! Thank you Louise, I appreciate your hospitality and kindness during our stay! Highly recommend this condo for a peaceful retreat.

Loved the view

Porch over the canal was just what I was looking for. Relaxing start and end to the day watching the boats, pelicans and dolphins. Would easily stay again. Only feedback, and this did not bother me because I am a sound sleeper, but you can loudly hear the neighbors TV. And the plumber must be left handed cause cold faucet handles were on the left and hot on the right…quirky but not an issue for me.

So glad you had a great stay! Yes, the faucets are backwards and it’s on our punch list to fix! We are also making adjustments for sound. As we had to redo everything after the hurricane, we have some things to tweak. It definitely helps when our guests give us feedback so we can create the perfect experience. Quiet Getaway

This place is exactly what you think it is from the listing. I wish I had done better researching the area for things to do, but we enjoyed shopping in Matlacha and relaxing by the channel before traveling home. The unit was welcoming and had everything necessary. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Pleasant place

We only stayed three nights. The place is so clean, comfortable, well managed even to the small details. the moment we leave, we realized, we were well rested, recharged and refreshed even with short stay. I can feel that owner care about customer ‘s comfort, and truly want us to have happy time while we are in their property.

Louise and David live in Ft Myers near the bridge to Sanibel Island. Louise is a teacher and David is an electrical engineer. Both grew up in Canada near Toronto and lived for the past twenty years in California, moving to Southern Florida last year. David & Louise also own Crescent Island, just south of the Southernmost Inn (also available on VRBO).

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The Southernmost Inn is by far the closest Inn to deep water (San Carlos Bay) in St James City and perhaps in the whole Matlacha/Pine Island area. When we say "two minutes" we mean two minutes without all the long canals at "no wake" speeds or shallow water to navigate. Southernmost is also right next door to the Waterfront Restaurant, which is a great restaurant with a full bar next door. Also nearby there is a fresh seafood market, grocery, hardware, and other amenities. A small sandy beach is within 1 minute walk. Outside your lanai you will find bbq's and a long dock with slips for your boat (bring your own or rent from us).

"Fishing Faster" on the way out, "Beer Faster" on the way in. Great views. Parking at the southernmost part of the Island where parking is at a premium. Laundry facilities. Fish cleaning station. Bicycles and Kayaks available. Nearby sandy beach.
