On the beach

Being on the beach was the best attribute for this property. I normally do not leave detailed negative reviews, I prefer to message the owner so they can take care of the issues, but this property is not managed by the owner. The property appeared to be clean upon arrival but we quickly found the floors turned our white socks and feet brown. The glasses and silverware all needed to be washed prior to using, the kitchen sponge that was available was used and dirty. The unit has a musty smell and the primary bedroom was always hot.The outdoor dining space(balcony) had to be put together so we didn't bother to use it. The door to the balcony is very difficult to open and close. Living room furniture needs a refresh one chair feels damp and sticky and also has a faint odor. Overall the unit needs a deep cleaning and a refresh. The view from the balcony was amazing but the view alone would not be enough to get me to book the unit again.

Nice location on the beach. It was not crowded at this time of the year and the temperature was ...

We loved the location which is just a short distance to the pier to the east. It is a moderately tall building of about nine stories and next door to the Whaler which is another .moderately tall building so that there is plenty of room to spread out on the beach. There is beach umbrella and chair rentals on your beach. The whole family enjoyed a quiet and peaceful weekend. There was even a moderately priced option to purchase a late checkout time of 2 pm rather than 10 am which we took.

Great location

You can't beat this location directly on the beach. The home could use some updating. If you rent and plan to cook, bring spices. Salt and pepper not provided. We needed to buy trash bags, toilet paper, plastic cups and paper plates.

Location

It’s on the beach.

We booked last minute for a quick beach trip. The complex is older which usually hasn’t been an issue once you get to the condo. The condo is dated and could use some TLC. The cleaning crew could do a better job. The condo floor had a good bit of sand on it when we arrived. It’s on the beach and it was reasonably priced. It’s also in a good location. We made the best of the cosmetic and enjoyed our stay.

It’s a decent place to stay

It was clean and had a good view. My only complaint is that the washer and dryer were shared on the floors (coin operated) and the dryer did not work. The faceplates were upside down so you couldn’t place money in them to turn them on. Everything else was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view but could use some updating

Perfect location right on the beach. Quaint and quiet condo which was nice. Living room and kitchen area could have been cleaned better (sand on floor and on the coffee table, not sure the last time the microwave had been cleaned inside and the ventilation button for the stove was broken, hairs on the sheets in one of the rooms). Decent for price. Would recommend if updated.

Fall break 2023

It is located within walking distance ( less than 1 mile) to restraunts and shopping. The beach access was easy and chair/umbrella rentals are available on beach. The interior of the condo is dated, but comfortable. No issues with any appliances, but there is no guide for TV channels.

Affordable and Convenient

We did enjoy staying at this property. It was affordable and located a very short driving distance or a mile walk to some of the best destinations. The beach was super nice and the pool was adequate. The house did need upsating. There was a leak in the master bedroom window that let in the hot breeze the entire time. We could see the breeze blowing the curtians. It was miserably hot in the room. The furniture was also visibly struggling. With that being said, overall, the place was a great value and very comfortable for our family.

Our experience was good. The first night we arrived to broken water pipes in the parking area. We had water but the floor laundry area dis not for the majority of our stay so we had to go to the laundromat. We did let the property manager know and they said we would be refunded something due to the inconvenience. Overall our stay was great clean, and a beautiful view.

Very convenient stay

Property was very nice and close to everything. Very clean besides a few thing I’d let you know you of just in case (but no major issues!!). Dishes that were in drawers were dirty so I had to clean beefier using. The guest bathroom air vent made a horrible noise (maybe needs to be changed)? Sheets were full of sand before we got in them and some pillows didn’t have pillow cases. Maybe could use a broom in the room? The vacuum was good to have but harder to use than broom for sweeping up sand. Overall really great stay!! We enjoyed

Beautiful view made up for what lacked elsewhere

Most of the dishes had to be rewashed before use due to obvious food caked on them, the pool was very dirty we didn't feel comfortable swimming in it, the bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine taking off we were concerned that it would burn out and catch fire. The unit wasn't as clean as we had expected it to be...looked like they just "hit the high spots". But the view was amazing.

Not what I thought

Condo needs a desperate update. The furniture is old and smells old. You would pull out a plate or glass and it was disgustingly dirty. Elevator was broken twice in 3 days, pool was so dirty when we first arrived you wouldn’t want your kids swimming in it. Someone did clean it the third day we were there. Felt like property was way over priced for what you got.

Would not suggest this condo unless all you need is a location

The location of the condo is great. That's really the only thing that was a plus on this visit to Gulf Shores. Vacasa was extremely unaccomodating with any request and/or question we had. The condo is quite dated. The beds were not very comfortable, the fans make very weird noises when operating, there have been obvious leaks throughout the unit and the patchwork did not instill much confidence. Tiles were broken in many spots on the floors. The televisions in each room only played two channels and not the same two in each one. The hot water allowed for one shower and would be cold if anyone else dared to shower after. They provide dime size toiletries so make sure to bring your own if you stay here. The first day, the elevator broke and did not operate for the duration of our stay. Vacasa was inconsiderate and actually lied about the room and it's availabilities. The price we paid to stay here was not equivalent to the status of the condo. It was grossly overpriced. I would suggest looking elsewhere before booking.

Filthy & dilapidated

We had high hopes for this rental unit given the photographs and previous reviews, however, our experience was much less than acceptable. My wife and I booked the unit for a trip with my daughter and her husband. Upon arrival, my daughter sat her baby in the floor while we unpacked. Within 3 minutes the baby’s hands, knees, and feet were BLACK with filth from crawling in the floor. There was grit, sand, and visible staining throughout the unit on the floors and walls. The ceiling fans were covered in so much dust and lint, it appeared as though they hadn’t been wiped down in months. I left immediately to buy cleaning supplies, and we had to clean the unit ourselves, just to feel comfortable staying there. After walking out on the balcony, we realized that the sliding door handle was broken, and would not lock. We immediately called Vacasa to report the broken lock and cleanliness issues. Not only was the lock a safety issue, but we were on the second floor, and it would not have been too hard for someone to have climbed onto our balcony and enter the room. The Vacasa representative we spoke with said they would send someone out within 24 hours to fix the broken handle. She also Got pictures from us regarding the uncleanliness and promised a refund on the cleaning fee. No one ever showed to fix the door and no one ever contacted us about a refund and nothing was ever submitted to us. There were several broken things thought the unit other than the sliding door. The television remote did not work, the ice maker was broken, the refrigerator handle was on the verge of breaking and we were afraid to even touch it, the shower curtain in one of the bathrooms had blood stains on it, and there was trash and dirty bedding crammed down into the pull out bed. The unit was very old and unkept, and the age most certainly would not be an issue had it received proper upkeep. The furniture was dingy and stained. We placed sheets on the couch and chairs before sitting as it was evident they were not clean. We are disappointed not only with the rental unit, but with the customer service received from Vasasa also. We will certainly not be doing any business with them again. We take Bi-yearly trips to the beach and this will be our first and last dealings with them.

We loved the view and the location. However, the furniture is very bare bones and one of the chairs was clearly not very clean. As long you keep your expectations low about the space, I think it's fine.

Girls trip

Gulf was great! I’d definitely go back. Only 2 issues we really had were that the master bedroom stayed pretty warm throughout our stay and the dumpsters location. The dumpster is pretty much in the middle of the parking lot and oh it stunk so bad. The views from this condo, amazing. It’s super close to the beach and made the walk very short to the water. Only thing we could hear in the condo from other guests was the sliding door opening and closing. Pretty quite little place. Enough space for everyone. Made our trip one for the memories.
