Nice house inside

It was very clean inside and accomadating but there were alot of trash bags under the back porch that smelled awful so we couldn't sit in the back

Nice host, location questionable

Our host was very nice. While the home was close to downtown and thus many choices, it is in a neighborhood with bars on the windows of a number of houses.

Great stay!

My friends and I needed a place to stay in Birmingham for a friend's wedding. This was a great place for us! Everything in the listing is accurate and all six of us were very comfortable. Communicating with the host was incredibly easy and check-in and check-out was very convenient and easy. The location was great and allowed us to get to different areas in Birmingham conveniently. Thanks for a great stay!

Not as expected

Although in an historic neighborhood, there were many burned out houses in this neighborhood and it had a general sketchy vibe . It was in both the path of the airport and near a train track , both very loud during the night. House itself could have been delightful, but was sparsely decorated and lacked warmth.

Served it's purpose for 8 adults

Overall, the 8 of us were satisfied with our stay. It doesn't take much to please 8 guy friends on a golf trip so the house served it's purpose. We enjoyed the pool table & basketball rim on the property, ample seats to eat, etc. It's definitely an older home, several updates could be made, BUT again, it worked just fine for 8 guys. It's super close to the interstates, as well as downtown, so that was a big plus. We would definitely stay here again

Review

The property was not as pictures displayed. The rooms were much smaller and not represented correctly. We arrived late to the property and the app given to access the front door was not working, after 15 minutes of trying to access it, the property manager did call us and give us access. We took one look around and left, didn't stay at the home. The area was run down and most all homes in area were being rehabbed.

Karen, this review is as shocking to read now as when I first read it. I have only heard great things about how accurately our photographer portrayed the house, he is well known for this in the Airbnb community for his quality and accuracy and guests have always commented that the house looked just like the pictures or better. You are the very first person on any platform we are posted on to say that you did not think the house looked like the pictures. I have a walk-through scheduled this week so I can see what it could possibly be that made you feel this way. As far as getting in, the only reason it took 15 minutes to get help using the app was because it took that long to reach out for help. As soon as I reached out to you to see if you had gotten in ok and you told me you were having trouble working the app, I resolved it immediately. If you had called when you first had trouble I would have resolved it at that time! I am sorry that you did not stay and I am sure that if you had spent the night you would have enjoyed the house and all its amenities as much as all our other guests have!

Lots of space

The listing was accurate and the property met our needs for an overnight stay. We wanted space to move around rather than the small space a hotel room would offer. This was just what we needed!
