The house was cute with comfortable beds. The small home is older and has many quirky charming features. The neighborhood is cute, tree covered and very close to a major highway.
This is charming historic home that was originally built in the 1940s. It has been updated throughout the years and has modern amenities including central air and a dishwasher. The home is nostalgic, but has plenty of room It is located in a quite neighborhood that is conveniently located to downtown and highwaysWe enjoyed being able to stay in a quite neighborhood rather than being crowed into two hotel rooms. We will definitely try to reserve this home on our next trip to Birmingham.
We loved our stay at Vulcan View Cottage. The property was very comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and spacious. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful as well. Jonathan was helpful, providing all the details we needed and was happy to help. We'd definitely recommend staying here!
Perfect location for anything could want to do! We were in town for a football game and long weekend! House was just what we needed and the location made it perfect! Would stay again!
This house was perfect for our familyâs 2 night stay in Birmingham. The location was close to everything we needed, shopping, restaurants, and Samford University. The neighborhood is active but quiet. If my son chooses Samford Iâm sure we will make this a home away from home. Thank you for sharing your place with us.
Danny could not have been more gracious as a host. He made certain that the property was well understood prior to check-in and offered all that was needed. He was so kind and accommodating with any exceptions and a wonderful communicator. I would recommend his property with no hesitation.
There were six of us. Four were seniors so the steps were a challenge but weâre glad we were in the neighborhood where it was peaceful. Would love to get this place again if weâre ever back. One thing I would add is you fumigate for the ants. They were a little pesty.
Three of us stayed here for a pastors conference at Christ Fellowship Church. The home had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the home was peaceful.
The location was amazing. Close to Samford University, and downtown Homewood and Mountain Brook. Not well appointed⊠very small table for four and not enough dishes. Some maintenance issues poor lighting getting up to the house at night and we had an older aunt and uncle with us.. just a few things wouldâve made it an excellent stay!
location and the house are absolutely perfect!! the close proximity to walgreens was fantastic for any extras. host was super responsive and helpful, and all of the amenities were great. thank you so much for letting us stay!
Passing through to gulf. Size of rooms was fine. Great proximity to downtown and restaurants. Quiet neighbothood. FYI, older home, master bath is tiny and laundry is in lower level. Hot water was tepid and low pressure. Owner was easy to communicat with.
The property was clean, spacious and perfect for our family. Slight hiccup with check-in process in that the door code was not sent to us by VRBO, but our host was responsive and apologetic. He even refunded us a night's stay immediately as a gesture of goodwill and without us asking. Highly recommend to anybody looking to stay in a wonderful spot in Birmingham.
This home had everything our family needed to rest while we moved our daughter into her dorm. The neighborhood is beautiful with beautiful trees. We all slept well in comfortable beds. It's also close to shopping, parks and coffee spots. We hope to revisit this place when we visit Homewood again. Danny made sure we had what we needed, too.
Comfortable home, would easily accommodate six. Clean and well appointed. Easy drive to museums, restaurants, beautiful neighborhoods. Charming city, presenting honest history. Impressive Civil Rights Museum. Sloss Furnaces provided great historic background of the economic development of Birmingham.
