The house was more than we expected, we were delighted with the spacious living quarters, soft comfortable bedding and a well-equipped kitchen.Having a portable ramp available was a bonus and the bedroom/bathroom on the main floor made the house feel wheelchair friendly and welcoming. There was a slight hiccup during the booking process but the host communication and professionalism made it easier to handle. We had a memorable stay and we will return.
3 families came together for an important life event for my brother! Each family had a floor... their own space! The kids enjoyed the game room. The kitchen helped save money on going out to eat! Use of the washer and drier helped lessen the extra task once we were back home. The home accommodated our families very nicely! I would not hesitate to stay here again!
This house was excellent â easy to find, in a quiet neighborhood, and in the perfect location. It looked exactly like the photos: beautifully decorated, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. The mattresses and pillows were especially cozy, and I loved starting each morning with coffee on the front covered porch. The air conditioning worked great, which we really appreciated during a hot week. The basement was a perfect hangout spot for our teenagers â they loved watching TV and playing games down there. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and relax. We had one minor issue come up during our stay, and the owner was extremely responsive and resolved it immediately with excellent communication. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and easy.We would absolutely recommend this property and would stay here again!
Our multi-generation , multi-state family recently gathered and stayed at clean and comfortable The House of Blues. Host, Nichole, was welcoming and responsive. The three levels worked well to give the different family units their own space. The younger generations particularly enjoyed the lower level which included comfy TV viewing seating, a sports table, games, and counter/frig for snacks and drinks. This was a winter stay, so the deck looked spacious but we canât really speak to it or the yard. Essential kitchen items are provided. (We recommend the coffee mugs be restocked as the supply appeared to be down to one standard mug and one handled soup cup. ). The neighborhood experienced a trash pickup glitch due to the holidays, but Nichole alerted us to the situation and worked the issue. Sleeping accommodations were comfortable. (Be aware that the big beds are queens, not kings.) There are two bedrooms on the second floor, one bedroom on the lower level, plus a master bedroom on the main level. A study off the kitchen is not a bedroom but does have a futon. The home is located in a quiet, residential area. Wichita is an easy town to navigate, so while the house isnât close to the main attractions, they are just a quick and easy drive away. It is close to a supermarket, drug store, and a number of restaurants. The treat welcome basket was appreciated. We do wish handrails were added to both the front steps and steps to garage for safety of all.
This was a very comfortable home for 6 to 8 people. We only had 5.
We did contact owner and had a very prompt response.
We were going to air show this location was very convenient.
House was perfect for or family with plenty of space with just the right amount of privacy with each bed room being on different floors. They were also very generous in allowing an early check-in so we had a place to change after a day of travel.
We went to Kansas for my Aunt's 80th birtjday. We wanted a place we could all stay together so we could soend quality time together. This was a perfect place to stay and haf everything we needed. Would recommend for anyone traveling in the area!
The property is in a quiet neighborhood close to everything that we needed. The layout of the property was perfect for pur group of 10 6 adults and 4 children. We were gone most of the time but it was comfortable. The only pause we had was that the kitchen/dining tile floor was very sticky. I mopped it twice and thefloor was very dirty. I messaged the host and she promptly responded and offered to sen some one out to clean. I did not do thar since i already took care of it.
The property is well maintained and the host was very professional and courteous. We came for a family event, but will definitely stay here again. My brother, who is very picky, kept talking about how nice it was
This was a nice property to stay at. However, the carpets have a distinct pet odor and need to be cleaned or replaced. It was extremely strong. Also, there was only one trash bag for each trash can, which makes it difficult to keep trash cleaned up over a long stay. Lastly, the WiFi connection was too slow for working remote. You wonât be able to reliably take calls from here on WiFi.
We really enjoy staying at this house. The basement allows for noisier play away from the main area. We really like the fireplaces as well. They do work, though it took us a bit to figure out how. This is our second stay at this house, and we will probably be back again.
Great property and location. Very comfortable and clean large house in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of amenities and Nichole was helpful with anything I inquired about.
This home was just the right size and location for our family while visiting our daughter in Wichita. The guys enjoyed the air hockey table in the basement while we ladies conversed on the nearby seating. We had everything we needed. Check-in/out was a breeze. Communication with our host was great. Would love to stay here again whenever weâre back in the area.
