Truly unforgettable Mountain View`s await you at Las Palmas Alexander.

This remarkable Mid-Century Modern Home was built by the Alexander Company in 1962. This area of Vista Las Palmas was reserved for their final lots and were located on a hillside street with 2 cul-de-sacs off to the East. It was known as "Las Palmas Summit" and the neighborhood was designed by the well-known architect Charles Du Bois. These were all highly prized lots and offered the best views in Palm Springs.

The home features 2 bedrooms and an office, with 2 upgraded bathrooms, an open spacious "Great Room" with a gas fireplace, an open cozy Media Room with second gas fireplace. The gourmet kitchen overlooks the living area creating a light and bright Palm Springs vacation experience. Viking appliances and high-end cabinetry are central features of this clean lined contemporary kitchen maintaining much of that "mid century" look and feel. The simplicity and clean lines of the property allow the sunlight and architecture to breathe life while embracing the beauty and detail of the surrounding mountains.

The master bedroom is spacious and stunning, and offers a king bed, clerestory windows, a glass sliding door that provides gorgeous views of and direct access to the pool and spa. The en-suite bathroom features double vanity, and a step-down shower. The guest bedroom offers magnificent mountain view`s through the glass slider that leads out to a front patio area. The queen size bed is super comfortable and is outfitted with luxurious linens to ensure a well slept night. There is a six-drawer dresser, two nightstands, lamps, and closet space to complete the guest accommodations.

In the hallway you`ll find the guest bathroom which features a combo shower/jacuzzi tub and plenty of storage space for essential travel items. Out back, you can bask in the desert sunshine year-round, whether you`re taking a dip in the private saltwater pool and spa, grilling with a commanding view of the mountains, or dining and gathering around the firepit beneath the stars. The owners of the property have also provided you and your guests with bikes and helmets for your enjoyment.

This home is desirably located in Vista Las Palmas, a highly desirable neighborhood of central Palm Springs that is punctuated by desert estates and celebrity homes. It`s an enjoyable 1.5 mile stroll or bike ride from Palm Canyon Drive to the heart of downtown that`s home to an assortment of acclaimed restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, theaters, and other forms of nightlife. Take a hike up into the hills, tee off at one of the dozens of championship golf courses that populate the area, or take an unforgettable ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (six miles west).

This vacation rental is located in a peaceful and tranquil residential neighborhood perfect for your next poolside getaway. In order to keep the tranquility of the community, we ask that you be respectful and mindful of your neighbors while on vacation. These homeowners have made this home available to share with responsible groups that will treat the home and neighborhood with respect.

In order to maintain the highest quality of our homes and the peace and quiet of our neighborhoods, all guests must adhere to the city and house rules. The city prohibits music and loud noise. The city strictly enforces these rules and prohibits parties, events, music, street parking, and disruptive guests. No music is allowed at any time. Quite hours are between 9:00pm and 10:00am and guests are asked to be inside and mindful of neighbors. Overnight guests shall not exceed the property's posted occupancy.

Optional pool and spa heat is available at an additional cost of $89 nightly or $445 weekly. Pool and spa heat is recommended October thru May. For this, we will preheat your pool and ensure it is heated upon your arrival to a comfortable 86 degrees. Additionally, you will have access to heat the spa to 102 degrees. Spa heat only is available at $25 nightly. (During hot summer months, spa heat only can be enabled at no additional charge. These months include July, August, September)

Fantastic

One of the earlier reviews mentioned that "the pictures do not do it justice" and I have to agree. House was awesome! Amazingly quiet neighborhood. House was super clean upon arrival and had everything we needed. Sat by the pool for two days of our stay and loved it. Plenty of linens, bed was comfortable. Sitting out front in the mornings was so peaceful. Everything about this trip was great. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect house in a perfect location

This was one of those rare occasions where the actual property was even better looking than the pictures. The space is very comfortable, with a great kitchen and living space. One of my issues with rentals is often that the furniture is uncomfortable to actually sit on, but that was not the case here. The salt water pool was heated to the perfect temperature (you sort of have to have it heated this time of year) and the spa was a real treat. Plus, all of this is accessible from the bedroom, bathroom and living room. But the best part is the location. The neighborhood is quite fancy with beautiful houses all around (an encyclopedia of mid-Century modern real estate) and the house itself is located at the foot of the mountains, so every evening we'd sit out front, sip front, and watch the stars appear over the mountain.. Really a perfect place.

Paradise!

Someone else said this and I agree - this is the first property that in person exceeded the pictures online! Every 6 months we stay in Los Palmas so we already know the area is elegant and cool. This house was so perfect and much higher quality accommodations that we usually see in a short term rental. The linens, beds, over-all look and feel, beautifully stocked dishes, cook sets, spices, Viking appliances - it was very very nice and we appreciate it all! Beautiful pool setting. Beyond all of that the hosts were brilliant. It is a local company and the communication was outstanding. Yes we had a minor issue - nothing to be concerned about - but something we had to contact them about and they were prompt, attentive, accommodating, and just flat on-it. Not all services are but they were brilliant. I would absolutely stay here again and every time as long as it is available. :-)

Beautiful property and location!

We love this house! It is in a wonderful location, right up against the hillside in a charming neighborhood. The interior of the house is super clean and mid-century stylish. The pool and hot tub were terrific. There were only two small downsides to our experience: 1) The bikes at the house were decrepit and unusable; 2) there was a lot of back-and-forth with the property manager to finally confirm that we could have our daughter, and two of her friends visit us during the day on one of our days in the house. The rules about occupants are very strict! Overall, the house is amazing!

Beautiful and Quiet Property

Exactly what we wanted. Beautiful property and amazing views of the mountains and landscape. High end furnishings and appliances. The property is located in an established, well-kept neighborhood.
