Charming A-frame in Chalet Village! GSMNP! Hot Tub! Arcade! Bears!
Newly renovated spacious 3-bedroom plus bunk bedroom A-frame chalet in popular Chalet Village in Gatlinburg. Peaceful mountain setting yet easy access to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and GSMNP. Massive two level deck with hot tub. Beautiful mural created by local artist on the lower deck. Inside the chalet, three levels allow you to spread out and enjoy your privacy, or gather in the family room for some family fun. In addition to the bedroom with bunk beds, there are one bedroom with king bed and two bedrooms with queen bed.
Had a few issues but host said they would be taken care of after we leave. Kitchen well equipped. Internet was unable to get tvs to work. Loved the bears every day.
We were myself, daughter and son-in-law and 3 offspring. We truly enjoyed the house, the design, color scheme, pool table, hot tub, cleanliness and fully outfitted kitchen (down to 2 corkscrews) made us feel at home immediately. We had a great time watching various groups of bears visit nearby, but always behaving well. The road up from Gatlinburg IS quite twisty-turny so get there before dark! We can all recommend without hesitation.
We had a great time here. Tucked away at the very top of a mountain-we saw bears around the house everyday we were here. Kids loved it. Hot tub, pool table and arcade made it a great place to stay with a 12 and 14 year old. Close to attractions!
This has been our favorite place weâve stayed in the Gatlinburg area- it is up higher in the mountains and we saw several bears and felt more secluded. Our kids loved the bunk bed and arcade, and the hot tub was clean and had a beautiful view. The host was very responsive and helpful. Our kids didnât want to leave!
The cabin was clean but in need of repairs. The flooring is coming apart, the bottom floor was freezing and we could not adjust a thermostat. The middle floor was better climate controlled but no one was able to stay in the loft as it was very hot! My husband is an inspector and noticed that the chimney is leaning and at risk of falling. It had a major crack that has been covered up with caulk which is not a fix. He was concerned. The appliances were nice and worked well. Our host was very nice and helpful.
This Chalet was so adorable with its white washed walls and wood beams. There are 3 bedrooms. The upstairs loft bedroom was very cozy and comfortable and has its own attached bathroom and a sitting area. The downstairs bedrooms are spacious. One bedroom has a comfortable king bed. The other bedroom has a queen and a bunkbed in the same room with a small room attached that contains a tent with a toddler sized mattress and the washing machine/dryer. The stairs are steep (not a problem for us but may be a concern for those with mobility issues). The hot tub was a big hit with the teens- especially at night with the lights on. The pool table was also a big hit! Overall, the teens LOVED this Chalet (which says a lot!). The adults agree! There are three levels which gives plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We saw bears (on the porch). We saw a mama and babies next door. Overall A. Thanks!
The chalet was lovely. Our family was very comfortable there. There was a lot to enjoy-beautiful scenery, a pool table, a hot tub, and games. The kithchen was well stocked, and the decor was beautiful. The owner was very responsive and knowledgable about the area. It was also close to all of the fun activities and the National Park. We enjoyed our stay.
The cottage was clean and welcoming. The trek up the mountain roads was a little daunting for those of us not acquainted with such narrow winding roads, but it was worth the drive. We had plenty to keep us entertained and lots of space for the 6 of us. The billiards table was a huge hit. The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of linens provided. Communication was amazing. The view off the hot tub deck was beautiful, especially sunsets. We encountered several bears, including a mom and cub. Itâs good to be aware while grilling dinner! But there was a can of bear spray there and the bears were not keen on interacting and would wander off with a good display of racket. Lock your vehicle! And donât leave food anywhere. Even with no food in the vehicle, we had one open our van sliding door that we apparently hadnât locked. We managed to scare it off before it climbed inside and got it locked up. So close to the national park. We spent a lot of time there and it was so nice to be right at the entrance. I would highly recommend a stay at this cottage.
We stayed in this cabin for a weekend getaway over Valentines and it was perfect for our little group. Home is very spacious which was a nice surprise so we did not feel like we were on top of each other. It came stocked with almost everything we needed and between the pool table video game and hot tub we had plenty of stuff to keep us occupied while we were there. Itâs located not far from town at all which was convenient!! While in the hot tube we could watch the lift from OBER mountain go up and down side of the mountain which was fun to see. Our only complaint is the roads are pretty steep getting up to the cabin but that is by no means the fault of the host or cabin. Just be prepared for some twist and turns and steep climbs. We would definitely stay again!!
I loved the location and the views. The house had plenty of room for 7 people. Enough room for privacy while at the same time enough room for family meals and games.
A+
The cabin was as advertised and made for a spectacular family vacation that was filled with relaxation. The communication with the owners was answered very quickly. The views from the back deck were awesome and the sounds of nature were top class. We did have bear encounters everyday with them even coming on to the deck a few times. The neighbors were wonderful and pleasant, they would tell us about bear sightings around the cabin
The area was just absolutely beautiful the wildlife was excellent as we had bears every day within 20 to 30' 40 feet of us and even walking around our deck in the morning as we drank our coffee it was fantastic. The host was phenomenal. She took care of anything we ever needed.
We really enjoyed our time here! We saw bears on property every day!! Check-in process was a breeze and the host was very prompt in her responses if we needed anything. We ran into a few minor issues that did not affect our stay. We brought them to the hostâs attention and they were taking care of right away!
The roads were a bit intimidating at first because we were first timers in the Smoky Mountains. Very narrow with no guardrails. But we quickly got used to them! Take it slow!!
We enjoyed all three club houses and really enjoyed the hot tub after long days walking around Gatlinburg!
Overall, our experience was wonderful!! We would most definitely stay here again! Only complaint would be that the cabin could use a good deep clean! There were cobwebs in almost every corner of the house. We got as many as we could. Stairs leading downstairs were sticky. We cleaned those. And both decks were covered with leaves and branches upon arrival. We gave both decks a good sweep.
Wonderful and relaxing place to unwind and enjoy quality time with family. We had 8 altogether ranging in ages 5 - 76 and this chalet fit everyone comfortably.
The location was excellent because it was just outside of town away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to the endless activities that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer. My only advice: be diligent about not leaving food out and properly dispose of your trash! There are SO many bears in the area, more than I've ever seen in all of our travels.
Overall, the chalet was exceptional and we wouldn't hesitate to return.
We adored our stay. It was plenty big enough for the 6 of us (ranging in age from 8 to 71). The view was just stunning. We played pool to our hearts content. We enjoyed the hot tub after long days of walking around.
Communicating with the host was spot on. She was quick to get back with me about anything I had questions on. Checking in was a breeze.
When you see that itâs on a winding roadâŠ. Take that seriously! Just take it easy on the roads and youâll be fine.
My only gripe was the cleanliness upon check in. Nothing to dampen the stay but as someone who is slightly attention detail oriented, I noticed it. Bedding and such was great, just random spots were missed that I noticed.
We did see 2 bears near the chalet during our stay, too!
