The purple door at the bay.

When you see the purple door you will know you have made it to your vacation spot. You will find stunning views any time of the day. Then at dawn or dusk you will think you are in a painting. This property has a full kitchen, living room with 2 couches, two nice size bedrooms with queen size beds, there is a full bathroom with a garden tub with a shower. Then you will find a spiral stair case that leads to the 3rd floor with a couch, another full bathroom with a shower, another queen size bed and the best view you would ever hope to find. On the outside you will find a balcony and a private peer.

Please message me all the names & numbers of the people staying at, The Purple Door on the Bay. Finally, I also need to know what make, model, tag number & color of your vehicle that you plan to use while staying at The Purple Door on the Bay. I must report this information to the office of Captain's Cove. If you are interested in using the amenities within The Captain's Cove Golf & Yacht Club they charges $15.00 a day, per person or $75.00 a week per person. I need to inform the Captain's Cove within 05 days to your stay if you plain to use the amenities.

We had a very nice stay here. The location is beautiful and we had a fun night having dinner and seeing live music at the marina.

Good Central location !

Stayed at the Purple Door house and took easy day trips to Ocean City, Bethany and Rehoboth beaches, Chincoteague and Wallops Islands and Deal Island, Princess Anne and Pocomoke. Great, safe location!

Nice view!

View was great! House could use a few minor repairs but overall nice place! Great location right on the water! Nice farmers market at the marina on Thursdays. Food from marina was also good.

A great place to stay with amazing views

Room for a family of five to spread out and relax. The views were outstanding but aways away from chincoteague.

Memorial Day Getaway

Great spot, great local amenities and cozy house and neighborhood. Private dock made it fun for fishing and taking in the views. Right price and good service. Highly recommended if exploring the area.

Nice little getaway!

We just wanted some stress free time to enjoy time with the kids before they graduate. Very clean and easy to get to. Going to try another trip in the summer. A+++

Great experience

Captain’s cove is an interesting location geographically. and this house has one of the best locations in captains cove. Great place to have a boat!!! The club house has a nice dinner service. My wife and I enjoyed seafood and a cocktail and my kids liked the pizza and brownie ice-cream sundae. My kids feel in love with this house!

All about the view and wonderful neighbors

Had an Awsome 8 days , views were amazing from just about everywhere in the house. Fishing was good from dock, crabbing was slow, a little late in the season. Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The restaurant just down the street had very good food, especially the fish tacos. No issues at all during our stay. Beautiful club house, indoor pool and golf course.

Best of Captains Cove

Impressive bay side views. You can’t be more waterfront than this. And there are multiple vacant lots around the property so it feels very private. The breeze was amazing. If you have the chance to rent here do not hesitate. A tip, bring your own food. The marina restaurant doesn’t provide take-out, The grocery is a 2.0 minute drive so stop prior.

Purple Door Stay

Property has a great view of the water across to Chicateague. I could have sat on the deck looking at that view all day but the heat wouldn’t let me. Way too hot outside. Kelly was tremendous answering any concern. Only negative is if you want to go to Chicateague it is a 30 minute drive.

Nice location

It is beautiful by the water and nice neighbors. The property was clean and description accurate and enjoyed the water and snacks left. Only improvements would be to add some sauce pans but n kitchen. We had to use fry pans to boil and also it would be nice to know the extras like swimming at club house so I would have brought a bathing suit.no instructions about trash so had to ask about that. It was a nice stay though and enjoyed iy

Nice location

This was our 5th trip to the Chincoteague area. House has great views and quiet location, private dock and a plus that our pets could be with us. House was not ready (cleaned) at our check in time which was disappointing after a 7 hr trip. I would suggest you take your own paper products, there are no napkins, paper towels or towels to was dishes. Also there's NO Wifi available.

Was far beyond what I expected. Kelly Miller went out of her way to help this technology challenged senior citizen The only thing that would have made it better was a ramp to be built on the side for us old folks. Steps was challenging. But worth it

Inaccurate description regarding sleeping and wifi. 35 minutes from Chincoteague and Assoteague Islands. House was nice though. Neighbors are not friendly. They call security on you if you keep an outside light on. Hope you dont mind your vehicle being broken into

Great place to relax

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We needed a quiet peaceful place. The view of Chincoteague Bay from a spacious deck and it's sunsets are gorgeous. The indoor stairs are circular so guests with mobility issues will have difficulty entering at the ground level and going to main level. Those circular stairs also lead to a lovely loft living/bath/bedroom area. The other entry is a set of outdoor steps to the deck. From the house, Chincoteague Island is about a 20 minute ride through beautiful countryside that takes you by Wallops Island NASA/Goddard flight center. Their visitors center has interesting information about the area's contribution to sub-orbital and weather research. Asateague is only a bit further where the wild ponies can be viewed. Asateague beach offers fun in the sun on the Atlantic coast. Thanks, Kelly for a lovely vacation.

Upstairs bed was uncomfortable and either the mattress or pillows had an awful smell..linens were rewashed..wasn't that. Lost power during one night..smoke/fire alarms went off because of the power outage..thank God my son in law knew how to turn off till power was restored because it was deafening. Needed more dining area..only 2 chairs for 5 people wasn't ideal. The air-conditioning ductwork needed repair late one evening..that was fixed in a very timely manner.
