Clean unit in good location, pictures make place look a little better than in person. Owner very responsive when asking questions. Very friendly employees and residents.
Every was great location, parking, space, kitchen every thing was excellent my only bad experience was with the neighbor downstairs she complained about my little boy walking so that was the little downside but besides that the apartment is very recommended.
We loved this property for our family of three. It was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The location was excellent for exploring Kona and we would highly recommend it.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 days and it was just what we were looking for! Great location and super clean, even had beach towels and chairs and a lovely beach just across the street as well as a poke place across from the street. ~5 min from the downtown area with shops and restaurants. Paul was great and made sure all our questions were answered, weâd love to stay here again
Excellent Vacation Condo, across from one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, pool and hot tub across the street. Everything I could need in the condo. Comfortable bed. Nice TV. Really enjoyed my stay. Quiet, close to everything. Paul was great at communication. Would definitely recomment this condo.
Paul was the best host ever. My friends and I had a great time at the hotel. Our room was clean and organized. ItÂŽs very quiet there, so we had a good sleep night. Paul gave me attention all the time, by text or call, and we appreciated that. I hope to be there again soon. Thanks Paul.
We were so happy that we chose to stay here. This clean and bright unit was close to everything that we needed. The communication was easy and thorough. We especially appreciated all of the kid friendly items- kids cups, plates, pack and play, high chair, beach toys, etc. The bed was comfortable and there was an ice maker to keep our water bottles nice and cold. Our host left us a thank you note, chocolate macadamia nuts, and a bottle of wine to welcome us. We were very happy with our choice to stay here.
The apartment was absolutely perfect for my husband and I, everything we needed was there. The cleanliness was absolutely spot on. The balcony was a bonus !!! The bed so comfortable and the coffee machine was a great way to start our day, so much so Iâm going to get a decent one for our home rather than using instant coffee to kick off our morning !!!
Thank you so much for sharing your apartment x
We had an amazing trip. The condo was the perfect retreat in the evenings and when we got a little too much sun. The property is gorgeous. Breathtaking sunset views. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor barbecue and picnic area while enjoying time with family members. All the while, watching turtles come ashore.
The bed is super comfortable, and everything that was needed for a comfortable trip was there. Thank you. We highly recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay here. Itâs comfortable and has all the amenities you need to be comfortable and safe during your stay. The washer/dryer and beach supplies/towels were an added bonus!
This property is on the third floor with only stairs. Itâs a short walk but probably not best for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise, itâs the perfect location nearby beaches and the city center with all the action, and still has quick access to the highway if you want to head south for more adventures.
The host was lovely, responsive, and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
Wendy was a superb host. She almost immediately emailed me back with the first question I sent and stayed on top of all of my other emails. She made booking the house easy and made us feel very welcome. The house is set in a beautiful secluded country road with spectacular views of the hills and country side. It was comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed staying there and would very much like to return again for a longer stay. Thank you Wendy!
The location of this unit was great for us traveling with a small child. We could easily drive to numerous beaches and restaurants, groceries, etc, but were not right in the middle of the downtown chaos making it very quiet at night. We enjoyed having a small beach right across the street to watch the sunset each evening. Traveling as a family we appreciated some of the extras like kids dishes in the kitchen, beach toys, and extra beach gear. Pull out couch is more comfortable than most, and the host was communicative.
The AC does not work. It was so hot in this unit, we could not even be in there. The slider in the living room does not close so all night long we heard cars going back and forth. The manager of the property was very communicative and let us out of our stay but he had said he knew that the unit needed updating and yet he kept it on the market without doing the updating first.
It was great! We had some hiccups with the place being ready when we arrived but got it sorted out. No elevator and this is on the 3rd floor so if your kiddos need to be carried this may not be ideal. However! It is a beautiful location and right across the street from the ocean. Fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer.
Great little condo across from the beach in Holualoa (south of Kailua-Kona)
I have never been to the Big Island, despite having family in Oahu and going there several times over the years. This condo is situated on Ali'i Drive and directly across the street from the beach access for this group of condos. The condo was comfortable and a great place to relax in the evenings after our numerous road trips to Hilo, Volcanoes National Park, and north to Waikoloa. Da Poke Shack is also across the street and super popular! Go right when they open to get great poke and other Hawaiian treats. The condo is a bit older and had wall unit air conditioning, but these held up fine in the evenings and we did not have to run them at night during our March stay (we did run the bedroom overhead fan on low). Overall a nice place to stay and central so you can explore the island. A few things to note:
1. We really enjoyed the little beach across the street, accessed by walking through the parking garage of the building and onto a nice grassy area. There is also an area with white sands to walk into the ocean. Great place to enjoy a beer and watch the sunset and late afternoon surfers.
2. Ali'i Drive is a main thoroughfare for visitors and is constantly busy. Keep that in mind while booking. Street traffic died down around 11pm and the bedroom is on the interior not streetside, which helped.
3. There are wild roosters all over the island. They like to crow. At 2am, at 4:30am, etc. LOL! Also a ton of birds and you will definitely hear them! We thought it was funny but you may want earplugs. Yes, they can wake you up.
4. This area was a great central point to visit other areas of the island. Note that everything is pretty far apart and be prepared for day trips with drives up to two+ hours, like for the Volcanoes Nat'l Park. We did the Saddle Road to Hilo with beautiful scenery between Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, and drove past South Point with black sand beaches past that when visiting Volcanoes Nat'l Park. Waikoloa with all the resorts is like 47 minutes and was fun to have a drink at the Hilton near the dolphins. See it all and enjoy!
Overall it was an enjoyable stay. The place was clean, very well equipped and the owner was very responsive. The location was very central - close to a great beach for snorkeling, the stop for the free trolley and great sunsets (across the street). A couple of minor things - the A/C unit in the bedroom is loud (we preferred to sleep with the windows open and fans instead), the couch isnât very comfortable and the sliding door to the lanai is hard to open. Everything else was great and we would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had everything we could need, including childrenâs dishes. The bed was very comfortable. The in house laundry very handy. The TV had lots to choose from. We were close to a public beach access, a market, and the place had some beach items for us to borrow. The only thing that could have taken it above and beyond was a drain for the tub so we could bath our baby (we made due with the shower). Thank you for having us!
The property was clean and comfortable with all the necessary items to make our stay very enjoyable. The host was great to communicate with and very helpful throughout the rental process. The property was accurate with regards to the listing. Would definitely make a return trip!
Aloha,
I am Paul Kealoha. I am a Hawaiian mix or hapa as we say here locally. I was born and educated on the east coast of the United States. I now reside in my family's native home of Hawai'i. My wish is to share the spirit of Aloha with you and your family. Aloha is a way of life that touches & refills your soul. Like a fresh drink in a scorching desert...Aloha is what you need!
Much love and a big Mahalo,
Paul Kealoha
On the main road of Ali'i Dr. making the space very convenient. It is also across the street from the beach, and near downtown making it a great location.
