Five bedroom, three bath home in a secluded setting. Located just off of Hadley Point Road, less than a œ mile from Hadley Point Beach. This beach is a local favorite and not well known to the general public. A great place to beach comb, have a barbecue or launch your boat off the public ramp. This nice home is close to everything Bar Harbor and Acadia have to offer. The house was fantastic. Spacious, comfortable, clean, and they really thought of everything you would need for a stay, even with a large family group with people of all ages and needs staying. It was nice and quiet, while still being in easy proximity to Bar Harbor & Acadia attractions. Genuinely delightful.
Exactly what was described. Clean, spacious, comfortable. Beautiful surroundings. Close enough to the bus stop at the campground to walk yet of the beaten path & away from the crowds. Highly recommend
Good size and well equipped kitchen. We needed every one of the bedrooms for our large extended family. Reasonably close to all Desert Island and Acadia Park attractions. Driveway is a little rough and just 4 bedroom window A/C units is the barebones minimum in hot weather.
This was a great find on Mt Desert Island, giving us lots of access options for Acadia and the rest of the island. Our favorite part was probably the location, which was right up the road from the water and had lots of options to go for walks as a family on quiet back roads.Bedrooms were large and three bathrooms ensured our party of eight adults and one toddler were not on top of each other the whole time. The kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking needs. The beds were not the most comfortable but in the scheme of everything, the house was great!
This place was perfect for our family vacation. 10 minutes from Acadia, private, clean. Provided plenty of everything (towels, cookware, cleaning supplies). We really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed 4 nights at this awesome home with convenient access to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Plenty of room and very quiet location. The kitchen was very well appointed with modern cookware and plenty of dishes, etc. The bedrooms were quiet and very comfortable. Bonus; we has an awesome viewing of the Northern Lights! The property manager was very responsive to questions as well. I would definitely stay here again next time weâre in the area!
Overall we are very happy with our stay as this home is in a great location and is very clean. But what needs improvement is the following:
1. NO AC downstairs so it was HOT at night if you want to hang out downstairs..even with fans.
2. The upstairs bathroom smells like mold- very bad and very strong.
3. The WiFi signal is like 'dial up' - VERY poor internet.
4. No garbage disposal
5. No central air upstairs but DID have window units.
The house was great. Plenty of space for our two families totaling 9 guests. Very clean and well kept with nice furniture. The game room was stocked with giant connect 4, board games, cards, darts, foosball table. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and supplies. Paper towels, napkins, trash bags, sponges, dish soap, laundry soap all supplied, so it was great to have everything we needed in case we forgot to bring something. Lots of captainâs chairs in the closet for the beach and some beach toys and a wagon. Window unit AC in all the upstairs bedrooms. Lots of extra linens and nice decor. The best parts were, however, the nice private location on a wooded lot and the nearby (walkable) beach. The beach was so pretty and fun to explore. It was pleasantly crowded at sunset because the sunset there is stunning. Some families had fires going on the beach which added to the nice family friendly relaxing atmosphere. There is a kayak tour guide that leaves from the beach there which was also super convenient. Walkable to Island Express route that goes to visitor center and into Bar Harbor. About a 12-15 minute easy drive to Bar Harbor. Two lobster places and a winery down the road, also walkable, and mini golf a few minutes away by car. The host was very responsive to communication. Would definitely stay here again!
The property was clean and as described in the listing. We lived that the property was so close to Bar Harbor and the main sights at Acadia.
We were traveling with our girl scout troop of teen girls. The wifi worked well for them and they had a great time with the games in the game room.
Wonderful stay! Would book again!
Property was as advertised and we really enjoyed the seclusion and quiet neighborhood. Watching deer in the early morning prancing around the yard was a real treat. Proximity to all the places we wanted to visit was perfect.
We were really excited to stay at this property. We were arriving during hurricane Lee and tried to shorten our trip for safety reasons, but the owner absolutely refused. Understandable, its a business to him. That was fine, we went anyway even though there was a state of emergency. The property was lacking. The lawn was not mowed, there were smoke detectors that did not work, the two exterior doors were covered in a black substance (making us not want to open them as we had kids with us), there were cracks in the ceilings and no AC downstairs with some windows not having screens. It looks like purely a RENTAL property with no pride and care from the owner. I would not recommend other than the location. We ended up leaving two days early, AFTER the hurricane just because we were so worried about the stains on the family room ceiling and whatever was on the doors. Just my thoughts.
Great location, easy access to Acadia and Bar harbor, lots of space, great kitchen and eating area.
Good house for families, very comfortable, plenty of room. Saw deer and wild turkeys every day, easy walk to a quiet beach - not sand, just small rocks, but lovely place to sit and enjoy the ocean.
We enjoyed our time - the house was clean and well stocked - we enjoyed the fire pit and the games! We had some trouble with the internet and could not get the Direct TV to work at all.
We reserved the house for us and one other family. Unfortunately due to a death in the family we were unable to go but the other family had a wonderful time and enjoyed the house.
