We had a fantastic stay at this lake house! The home was spotless, beautifully decoratedâlike something out of a professionally designed magazineâand exactly as pictured in the listing. It offered plenty of space for our family, and the kitchen was especially well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect: quiet, scenic, and ideal for relaxing. We loved watching the stunning sunsets from the back patio and spent a lot of time fishing off the dock. The house was also conveniently located near the dam on Cedar Creek Lake, which made it perfect for surfing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property.
The house inside is just like the pictures. Very Nice! Beds were comfortable, had plenty of pots and pans, utensils, bowls etc.The a/c worked great. We all enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table and air hockey table. The kids caught sunfish and small catfish off the pier. We had our boat and were able to use the lift which was awesome. We had a few hiccups but Morgan resolved them quickly!
We loved this house, the location, the yard, the dockâŠalmost everything was perfect. Great layout, very spacious with tons of room for a big family. A few areas that need attnâŠ. The Fridge needs updatedâŠ..water dispenser sounds like itâs dying a slow death. The Oven is touch and goâŠ.be careful as you might burn dinner. The house is large enough for big families but only 1 Medium size fridgeâŠ.wasnât near big enough. Black out shades in Master would be nice but Iâm picky about this.
The property is beautiful and very spacious. It is also very family friendly with lots of games and activities. The kitchen is super well stocked with cooking and serving utensils. the owner and property manager were super nice, responsive and very helpful. i highly recommend this property.
Wedding weekend getaway for 12. We had a family wedding at Margot Hills and this house met all of our needs. 10 minutes from venue and 5 minutes to fast food. Plenty of beds and bathrooms! House is gorgeous and had amazing views. Parking for six large vehicles. We didnât have time to use the outdoor space but it looked so inviting. We did a quick walk and bike ride in the neighborhood itâs very quiet and in a private area. Kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking needs. My family wants to rent again when we have more free time.
A few friends and I had a great getaway guys weekend at the lake on this property. The house is great, and we loved all the games available, specifically the pool table! The owner was checking up on us during our stay to make sure everything went well. 10/10 would stay here again.
We just spent the weekend here for my son's 16 birthday. The house was stylish and amazing! The property was beautiful! My family and I loved our stay here! It was everything that we wanted and more! We will definitely need to visit again!
We had an outstanding family get together at Cedar Creek. This beautiful home was perfect. What a nice place that is spacious, clean and updated. Thank you so much for making it a great event! We canât wait to do it again next year!
The house and property were just perfect for 15 of us. All the table games kept the kiddos busy and the fire pit was a hit day and nite. Floors a bit dirty when we got there, found a hard tortilla in the downstairs couch, a used bandaid on a blanket, and the remote for blinds in master BR didnât work despite replacing batteries. Could have used more forks, spoons. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay! Thank you.
We like this property very much. The open area on the main floor and the dining area work very well for our large gathering (14) and the grandkids loved it the whole house and yard. There was a lot for them to do and they tried almost everything. Unfortunately, the AC units were a bit wonky which affected to overall rating. The main floor unit had a tough time keeping the upstairs below 78 during the day (when it was 100 outside), but it cooled down around bedtime. The lake was also very low which impacted the swimming and boating, but this didn't impact the rating. BTW, the Log Cabin City Park boat ramp is the best one to use. We will be back in the future.
This was a lovely home and the living spaces and kitchen area and outdoor amenities were good for our large group. I was disappointed in the bunk room. There were no photos of this space when I made my reservation. I did inquire about it and was told some photos would be sent. That didn't happen and honestly I didn't think much more about it. I learned a lesson on that. This room does sleep six in triple bunk beds that only children 12 and under could appreciate. And there is only one vent in the room. While we where there the temperature dipped into the 30's and that room got cold. The property manager did have a space heater delivered the next day. The room also has a musty odor. It was just a strange set up in my opinion. I won't finalize a reservation without seeing all the beds in the future.
The pros:
Clean. Plenty of space. Older home with modern remodeling. The living areas are attractive, have comfortable, clean, nicer furnishings. The kitchen is well stocked for a vacation rental, it has most items youâd need for basic meals and youâd be hard pressed to find that in another rental. Enough dishes for an army. The eating space is massive, plenty to keep you busy inside, the outside is very enjoyable.
Bedrooms are large, smartly furnished/decorated and comfortable, the master bedroom is huge with an impressive closet and 2 person shower.
The kids loved the bunk area, it was the most comfortable area as far as temperature is concerned.
Parking is ample.
The laundry area is large with newer machines.
The outdoor seating area is large & shaded. Property manager Morgan is exceptionally responsive, and pleasant to chat with.
Cons:
AC.
If Iâm paying this much for a 10 day rental Iâd expect it to be at a livable temperature upon arrival. It was 85 degrees and took 11 hours to get to 74. The next day we couldnât get it below 79 upstairs- uncomfortable to cook, sit, and hang out. The central air system is not nearly adequate for the square footage. The master bedroom is 4-6 degrees warmer than the hottest part of the house (it was very hot during our stay).
Some of the oven gauge pics are scratched off so itâs hard with an 8 conv setting oven to figure out which was best. And the oven was WAY off. The top of the oven works⊠bottom no.
The toilets flush horribly, the dock was covered in cobwebs, dead flies were in the living room windows. Very few bath mats, Iâm guessing that guests use towels as bath mats and thatâs why 1/3 of the white towels are very dingy. The washing machine had mold inside the door all around the plastic gasket.
The master bed is one of the hardest beds Iâve ever slept on. We had to purchase a $115 3â foam pad to sleep. I would like to add that I have a sleep number bed at home, my sleep number is 91- I like a firm mattress!!
Would I stay here again?
Not for a gathering over 10, not in July & August, not if I was planning on cooking full delicious dinners, not if I expected a newish property & meticulous attention to details.
Do I regret staying?
No. Even though we were a large group everyone had a fantastic time playing and connecting. We easily worked through the cons and if we couldnât the property manager had immediate response time with solid solutions. The prop management is unbeatable.
This house will not disappoint...absolutely beautiful. We had our adult children/their spouses and our grandkids. Plenty of room for everyone. We loved the game room downstairs, loved the dock-caught roughly 75 fish, loved the covered patio area. The large seating, along with a dining table gave us plenty of room. The owner immediately replied anytime I had questions prior to our arrival...! We will be coming back again....!!!
