Modern farmhouse for family fun - mins to downtown
Pearl's Place in GA
Escape the everyday hustle and bustle in our comfortable modern farmhouse in Clayton. Minutes from downtown and enough space to fit everyone...even the family pet! Make yourself at home on the couch and choose a favorite movie or on the porch watching the leaves sway in the breeze. It is the perfect place to relax, adventure, or even reconnect with family. Close to many outdoor adventures like waterfalls, hiking, and state parks so bring your sense of adventure too!
The property is a great retreat with views of nothing but trees off the porch. Easy to get to as well which isnât always the case around Clayton. House was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay.
We enjoyed our family trip to the mountains and loved that our dogs were able to join. Great location, close to downtown Clayton and close to where we went white water rafting. Enjoyed the peace and quiet of sitting on the huge back porch.
The property was exactly as pictured and described. Perfect for our teens and friends. Questions about check out answered promptly. No issues, just a great trip!
We were in town for a wedding. The house was great for hanging out with our friends. Very clean. We didnât cook there but the kitchen seemed well appointed. We would stay there again.
The layout and amenities of this cabin were perfect for our family time. In town for a wedding, we stayed at the cabin with cousins. The basement was perfect for our teens and the upstairs bedrooms afforded plenty of privacy for the parents. The living room was comfortable and we enjoyed hanging out on the sectional and watching shows/movies. I love that it was pet friendly, too. Just an easy, comfortable place to stay. Thank you for accommodating us!
The place was great and we had a wonderful stay! We brought our two small dogs and they enjoyed the trip. The neighbor had two dogs they let run around for a while so my dogs became barkers. But thatâs not the fault of this rental. But the rental could not have been nicer. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Note: the master bedroom does open up to the attached bathroom, no door. Been married for 38 years but that was different! Ha! We made it work!
This cabin was all that we hoped it to be and then some. It fit our family perfectly with the 2 great living rooms. The propane fire pit on the back deck was a nice surprise and thereâs plenty of seating out there. Itâs less than 2 miles from Ingleâs but far enough up the mountain that you still feel secluded. The property owners have thought of everything to make it a fun and pleasant stay⊠including a Sasquatch hunt inside the house! We enjoyed shopping in Highlands, riding the Scaly Mountain Screamer, visiting 12 Spies and Stonewall Creek wineries, the antique shops in Dillard, Hillside Farm Orchards, and strolling downtown Clayton. Had great BBQ at the Blue Hound BBQ at the Highlands Outpost and a great lunch at Friends in downtown Clayton. This was our 21st year visiting Rabun County and weâll be back again next year!
This was our 2nd trip to the Clayton area, and we decided we wanted to be closer to downtown Clayton to meet up with friends, but still have peaceful accommodations. This home fits that bill, we were literally minutes away from downtown, which we visited several great restaurants and antique shops. We were also able to visit several parks, and trails under 20 minutes away. The home felt peaceful and private and had beautiful wooded views. The home was beautifully updated and decorated, and had all of the modern conveniences. We traveled as a party of 3, however if you have more people there was a 2nd floor with plenty of room to spread out. It had another living room, bathroom and large bedroom with bunk beds. Which if you have children, you might enjoy being able to send them downstairs while you enjoy your peace upstairs. Just sayin'...as a parent of 3 older chilren, I have been there. This is a home that I would definitely come back and visit.
Everything was as described and we enjoyed our time, esp the convenience to town and the proximity of fishing spots. The game "room" and Sasquatch search were fun for all! Level entry at front was great for our family members who have limited mobility (something hard to find in the mountains!). Beds were super comfy. Serene porch to enjoy visiting or a cup of coffee. Wonderful experience.
The house was excellent. It was very spacious and clean. Parking and turning around was a little challenging but not too bad. The location was very convenient, close to town but with a secluded feeling. There is a house next door but the neighbors were very friendly. Our host was very responsive. There are two great porches but we were disappointed that the view was only trees. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to others.
House was great. Everything we needed and then some was provided. You could tell the owners put a lot if thought into making it fun for families. The location was great. Close to town and the Ingles grocery right down the road. The driveway was a little scary for us since we are from "the lowcountry " and not used to driving in the mountains but we got used to it and didn't have any issues in our midsized SUV. My mom had problems backing in and out in her Dodge Charger with the loose gravel, though. We would definitely stay here again!
The house is spacious and well laid-out with comfortable mattresses and sofas. Our womenâs outdoor adventure group stayed here to raft the Chattooga and hike Tallulah Gorgeâsuper convenient. Only major issue is that none of the windows or doors had screens, so we couldnât enjoy the mountain air, and the management company didnât respond to our email. If the house had screens I would definitely book it again.
Laura and the property manager were very attentive. The home is absolutely beautiful and full of wonderful amenities like balcony rocking chairs, game room, washer/dryer, garage access, full kitchen, and the fireplace â„ïžâ„ïžâ„ïž
Location is great, close to town, and less than an hour away from Helen's Alpine coaster, sunburst zip lining, and Tallulah falls. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We look forward to returning.
We are a fun-loving family from Southwest Florida. While we live in the sunshine paradise of Florida, we love to travel and find amazing hidden gems all over!
We love this home because it is close to downtown but a short drive up the mountain. Clayton is located in Northeast Georgia. The mountain community is known for its thriving downtown, unique lodging, outdoor recreation and restaurants, earning it the title of Farm to Table Capital of Georgia.
Be sure to visit our beautiful waterfalls, have a fun adventure at Goats on the Roof, and enjoy a beer at Currahee Brewing Co. where you can relax and bring the family too! Then get some shopping done as you wander the downtown area and bring home local treasures from a locally owned shop.
Our home is located towards the base of screamer mountain, giving you mountain vibes and views without the scary drive to the top. You're minutes away from amazing food and beverages offered from many wonderful eateries and a short trip from countless outdoor adventures. There is truly something from everyone in this beautiful town.
