Cette cabane en rondins de luxe fait partie d'une ferme de 25 acres nichée à flanc de montagne privé dans les Smoky Mountains de la Géorgie du Nord, dans le comté de Rabun. Vous serez à quelques minutes du lac Burton, du lac Rabun et du lac Seed et à seulement 2 miles du parcours de golf Kingwood. Vous serez à seulement 7 miles du rafting et du kayak en eau vive de classe mondiale sur la rivière Chatooga et vous serez entouré de milliers d'acres de terres du US Forest Service. Vous trouverez l'artisanat et l'art des Appalaches à 5 km du centre-ville de Clayton. Profitez de la vue sur la Caroline du Nord, la Caroline du Sud, le Tennessee et les Great Smoky Mountains ou le large ruisseau et les ponts couverts dans la vallée ci-dessous. Great Mountain Stay!

My family stayed in this cabin over Thanksgiving break and it had everything we could hope for. Plenty of room, a large, fully stocked kitchen, and farm animals to pet and play with!

Lovely Mountain Homestead

This place was great. A nice scenic drive up to the front door with a great view out over the mountains. When we arrived the sun was just beginning to set and it was gorgeous. We brought a group of friends up for a total of 7 people. The place could comfortably hold double. The house itself has plenty of room, multiple places to relax and enjoy yourself. My wife loved the animals and taking a short walk around the property, I myself enjoyed a deep soak in the very big very deep jetted tub. Honestly the pictures don’t do the place justice with how great it is especially for a medium to large group!

Annual Family Vacation

This property was just as advertised. It is excellent for family vacations. Convenient to Clayton and all it has to offer as well. The property has a large open area that is great if you have children.I would recommend it to anyone needing space for their vacation.

The property pictures and description were accurate. The fireplace is spectacular. Views and farm were a bonus- expect some farm animal sounds! Carol was a great host. Would stay again!

Had such a great time at this farm, in Clayton, and Long Creek. We especially appreciated how the kitchen was stocked w pot/pans/utensils. And so much fun seeing the animals. Highly recommend.

Mountain Creek Lodge

AWESOME!!!! Beautiful view, beautiful sunrise, spacious yet cozy home. Carol was quick to answer questions and friendly to outreach. The Perrys (who manage the animals) are the Salt of the Earth people. Loved talking with them. Access to the home was easy and fun to drive. This was our 3rd trip to Rabun County and the best location yet. thank you.

No place like it

This was one of the most private and beautiful cabins I've had the pleasure to stay at. The home was cozy and the view was breathtaking. An added bonus was the farms animals located near the property, which me and my guests all had the pleasure of petting. Would definitely stay again!

Peaceful

Just the perfect getaway location. Waking up each morning to the magnificent sunrise peaking over the mountains is to die for. Love the cabin so much and would recommend to anyone needing to disconnect and recenter themselves.

Great Lodge in the Mountains

This property was great. It was even better than the description. The working farm at the bottom of the hill was loved by all, especially the toddlers. We would return again in a heartbeat.

Had a great five night stay at Mountain Creek Lodge. Tucked in on the mountain with amazing views. Private and quiet. Loved the great room and grand porch with rocking chairs. Want to return to this peaceful gem.

Great stay!!

We had a couple hiccups initially with the TV and internet but Carol was extremely attentive and with the help of her neighbor Todd, everything worked out great. The property itself was wonderful and the view was just something we could have stared at all day. Don't miss the sunrise! We all loved our visit and we're already planning our return.

A lovely peaceful, scenic farm with expansive mountain views

What a hidden gem! On a gorgeous piece of property, this house feels remote yet is a quick drive to downtown Clayton. The home and views are even better than the VRBO listing photos. There are plenty of places for large groups to gather whether in the kitchen, dining room, or enormous porch with expansive views of the mountains. The host was an excellent communicator and was so kind to allow our group to check in early! We can’t wait to return!

Mountain cabin

Our family enjoyed our stay. Loved kids being able to run around and see the dogs, chickens, pigs, cows, etc.. The wrap around porch was a hit as well. We would sit out there and enjoy the Mountain View in the rocking chairs. House was well stocked with everything you need, just bring your clothes and food.

Beautiful farm in a serene setting

One of the nicest, most well appointed VRBO's we've stayed at, by far! The kitchen is well equipped, has modern appliances and LOTS of room. The view from the porch is nothing short of breathtaking....do NOT miss the sunrise, as it is absolutely stunning. Carol was awesome....responsive and accommodating. Can't say enough about this place. It was a wonderful stay!

Another great visit!

We have been visiting Mountain Creek Lodge for years now, and, once again, we had a wonderful time. The owner, Carol, has anticipated practically any wish guests might have and provided the essentials, comforts, and charm that should make every stay most enjoyable. The property is conveniently located so that guests can easily join people in town or sit on the porch and enjoy the solitude and fantastic views. We cannot recommend MCL enough and can truthfully say that Carol is a host par excellence!

More than we expected

I am a retired business owner who loves the mountains and also has a home near my children and grandchildren in West Palm Beach, FL.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My family developed the nearby Mountain Creek Estates subdivision and saved a wonderful 10-acre lot for ourselves. It borders a rushing creek and has fabulous views. All thoughts of building on our lot went out the window when we discovered this property which was being sold by Coca Cola heiress Frances Woodruff - known locally as 'Mrs. Tut.' As a part-time realtor, I see a lot of properties, but the views from the porch of this cabin and the tranquility of the farm cannot be beat!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This property high up on Tut's Mountain was formerly the petting zoo of Coca Cola heiress Frances Woodruff. Remnants of the bear den, eagles' lair and other artifacts still can be seen. Neighbors graze their cows, goats, pigs and chickens in our pastures. The Town of Clayton has the feel of stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting to a quieter, gentler time when people had time to chat & share recipes in shops. We are within 4 miles of a variety of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, Home Depot and a Walmart Super Center.
