Features 3 bedrooms with a bonus bunk-room and located on the shores of Lake Sam Rayburn in the newly developed Rayburn Shores. Pull your boat or kayak right up to the back of the property or enjoy the lapping of waves from the huge covered patio! With a large living space that opens onto the fully equipped kitchen/dining space and the covered patio that features a seating space, dining space, views of our peaceful lake and a grill for a cook-out option; You're sure to pass the time right from the comfort of our comfy retreat! A peaceful hide-away with privacy and space for you family/friends. Sleeps 13 in beds. If internet is required, please bring your own hotspot as local availability is inconsistent.

Great home and location

This was a great location to spent the week. The kids were able to be loud with no neighbors to complain. Very secluded and beautiful view. Would recommend to anyone that loves the outdoors.

Stay at the shores!

Overall, the property was very nice and very well put together. Kudos to the owner for a lot of detail into the little things that make a big difference.(soap,condiments,papertowels,etc.) The only complaint I have is the location. The GPS got us lost and didn’t recognize the address so we spent over an hour trying to find the property.

Golf trip

We stayed at the property for a guys golf trip. We couldn’t get TV to work first night and property manager had a new TV delivered and set up by the time that we got back to the house on day 2. Very accommodating and great house

Hidden Jewel

When I say Hidden Jewel I mean it's somewhat hidden. Directions given though were pretty spot on, so the house wasn't too difficult to find. Once you arrive the first thing you'll notice are the tall pine trees and serenity of the property. The house is relatively new and we'll appointed. Very peaceful and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone coming to Sam Rayburn.

Thanksgiving with Family

What a great time we all had! The location was perfect. Complete privacy, perfect fall weather. The Grandchildren had a blast exploring the surrounding area. The home was laid out perfect. Kids on one end of the house and adults on the other, so the noise level of happy children, wasn’t noticed! The large covered patio was a welcomed place to visit and enjoy the wind blowing through the tall pines and the crows talking in the background. The beds were all comfortable, and the kitchen was laid out so that you could visit while cooking. Everything was perfect. If there was one thing I would change, it would be the directions to the property. They may have been easier to follow during daylight hours, but we arrived in pitch black darkness. The end of the high fence then about a block down and the reality sign then turn right at the end of the high fence reference was confusing. We felt like we were entering someone’s property! It was an experience getting there, but from that point on, it was fantastic! We hope to return again! Our thanks to the Owners and VRBO, for making this a perfect holiday shared with family!😎

Great Memorial Day

Check in process was great. Location was back in a quiet neighborhood. House was very nice and comfortable. It was great for our family. We wish the lake would have been down enough to use the dock but it is what it is with that. No hard feelings. I brought my own bug/mosquito spray and sprayed real good around the house which helped with our weekend stay. The yard needed a little mowing and trimming. Only big complaint I have is that the grills that were shown on the pictures were not in the same shape when I got there, and some of the back porch furniture was coming apart. The big charcoal grill had a broken smoke stack on it and two of the four grates inside were broken. The other electric grill had a broken top with the handle missing. I made it work though and produced some great steaks, boudin, and sausage for the family. Most people would have given up before trying to work with it. The back porch was great though. Overall, not a bad place. Take the good with the bad. The bad is fixable and can be a great improvement.

Beware!

The house was awesome as well as the location. We didn't have any issues until check out day. It was 11:25 a.m. we had loaded the truck and was making a final walk through to make sure nothing was left behind and also waiting on a load of towels to finish washing to put in dryer per the hostess request when we got a call from hostess stating cleaning lady was outside needed to get in to get house for guest checking in at 4. I was contacted about missing salt and pepper shakers later that day 12/26 which we never used we brought all of our dishes did not use any that were provided. I was also provided with a pic of a small stain in comforter on kids bed. I agreed to replace if it did not come out. We had so much fun we rebooked on the same day for July 2 thru 5. Two days later 12/29 I get a text from hostess about something spilled in refrigerator and oven being dirty. Mind you oven is self cleaning and a cleaning fee was included and there has been people in house 4 hours after I checked out on 12/26 so why are you still contacting me. To top it off on 12/31 I get a text stating the house will rent for more per night for the dates I already secured for July 2 thru July 5th with a large deposit. I contacted hostess who was very rude and quickly refunded my money and made it very clear it was not going to rent for the price I booked it for because the 4th of July is a holiday however we just rented it for Christmas a major holiday for the same amount that was listed on website for the 4th of July! I guess my skin is the wrong color for Sam Rayburn! The hostess for this property is definitely not African American friendly... this is so bad for business. As soon as she canceled my reservation she sent me multiple cancellation notices. It was obvious that prejudice still lives deep down in some areas of the country! I hope the owners of this property see this and find a new management company.

The property checkout is 11 am, we do request that customers promptly checkout as cleaning and preparations for new arrivals must be completed prior to our 4 pm check-in. We were in no way trying to be rude, but we do follow procedures to ensure all of our guests as well as our properties are taken care of. The rate they booked at for Christmas was a discounted rate due to the property having been newly placed on VRBO; rates are the same for every customer however holidays in the peek season for a lake area are summer dates.

4 day weekend

We had a wonderful time. 6 adults and 6 kids, plenty of open space, beds for everyone and unlimited lake access. Everyone love their stay.

Very nice property

Home provides lots of room inside and out. We loved the big back porch. Glad there was a dock to get into boat but you will get muddy up to your knees for about 10 ft. to get to it. In a secluded area that will most likely have new homes built around in years to come.
