You won’t believe the care and love this charming home has been given! Updated and modern amenities mixed with historic and charming features makes this house a true hideaway! Enjoy the large open modern kitchen with high end appliances, walk in pantry and open dining area great for gatherings and holidays! Rest in the calming master bedroom suite with original fireplace mantle and its amazing modern bathroom. Relax in the comfy living room that’s cozy and modern , walk through and marvel at the central hallway with the amazing original woodwork and 10 ft tall ceilings! Guests can enjoy the second bedroom with queen bed , fireplace mantle and office area. The hall bath has a modern twist on a classic bath with subway tile and the original claw foot tub /shower to enjoy! And let’s not forget the huge screened in porch , and the adorable rocking chair front porch with a charming porch swing and the fenced in pet friendly back yard and deck for grilling!!

Close to everything Raleigh has to offer, the downtown is within walking distance, to great restaurants and bars, museums, the red hat amphitheater, and much more! Walk through the historic Oakwood Cemetery at the end of the block , and enjoy the historic neighborhood with all the beautiful homes to admire! RDU airport is only a 15 min drive along with Meridith college and Shelly lake for walking and biking trails! NC State is only an 8 min drive along with Cameron village for shopping and exploring . The Historic Oakwood Hideaway is close to several breweries and downtown events! The home is pet friendly and ready to be enjoyed for work , play or relaxing the day away!!!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was super clean and comfortable. Great kitchen with ample cooking supplies and nice laundry room. Beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was friendly and walkable. We liked the outside space and fenced in yard for our dog. The host even had dog bowls. We would absolutely stay here again.

This was our second stay and it was great. Beautiful, comfortable home in the best location . Great kitchen for cooking and having dinner with a group. The fenced in back yard and screened in back porch are the perfect spot for relaxing and our bulldog loved being able to run around. We definitely will book again for our next trip to Raleigh!

The house is amazing! Very clean, stylish and comfortable. The kitchen is great to cook in; well stocked with all the kitchen tools we needed.The fenced in backyard was great for our pup and the house is within walking distance to downtown and other fun areas to explore! We have booked again for our next visit to Raleigh!

Stacy was an awesome host. Her checkin instructions were simple and clear which made the process seamless. Also, when I needed a last minute extension at checkout she was responsive and accommodating.Now about this home….its stunning. From the kitchen to the bed linens, everything was designed for a functional aesthetic. It is lovingly decorated and well appointed to consider every accommodation. Between the symphony of the cicadas and the intermittent rainfall during my visit, I was able to relax and focus on my work, and my sleep was better then I’ve had in months.10/10, would stay again.

Very nice place in a great location. Wonderful kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Cute outside porch. It was a bit hard to get responses to questions although answered ultimately The oven did not work, there was no soap in guest bath. Overall lovely, would go back.

Thank you for your review Richard. Although I don’t feel like it’s truly accurate you ask for an early check out stay and we couldn’t answer you until we knew the schedule. Also, we did respond to you with any other questions you may have. The only thing is the parking situation is clearly in the listing that there’s a driveway and there’s free street parking. I don’t know why that question was asked as everything is detailed in the listing. Also, we made an exception for a one night stay which we never do so the fact that we got a four star after making accommodations for you to get in early stay one night and leave late truly does not reflect the true review that should’ve been for this house as we went over and above for your stay.

The property was fantastic. We didn't cook there, but they had everything you needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the primary shower was next level. I love the area. Great job.

Extremely easy checking process. And very easy checkout- didnt have a 10 page process like some other rentals. Lol. Nice to have room for 1 car in the driveway. Perfect backyard for dogs. Cute screened in porch. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Pretty quiet and nice to have an easily adjusted thermostat. Good location and lots of restaurants close to drive to.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Interesting decor and comfortable furniture. Great range in the kitchen. Nice screened in back deck and a relaxing front porch. We had everything we could possibly need. Stacy was easy to communicate with and was nice about accommodating a last minute request of ours.

Nice property. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was nicely stocked. Living room was interesting and rear porch was very spacious with comfortable furniture. Front porch rockers were a nice touch. Would stay again.

Perfect house within walking distance to downtown

We loved our stay. The house is very clean and everything looks new. The location is very convenient, we walked downtown for lunch. There is even a cute restaurant about 3 houses away. We enjoyed our stay with friends and will stay again the next time we are in Raleigh. The host was very nice.

NC State Parents weekend-Beautiful House

The house was comfy and perfect for our size of our family. The kitchen was well equipped. It was very clean and a very charming house that has been updated but kept the charm of the house. We will be back!

Great stay in Raleigh!

We love everything about this home - location in historic oakwood in downtown Raleigh, the backyard, the screen room, the layout of the home , remodeled bathrooms and comfy beds. It is a great neighborhood for walking and close to everything downtown but in a quiet residential neighborhood. Be sure to check out some of the local restaurants and coffee shops!

Beautiful property, excellent location

We loved our time at the Historic Oakwood Hideaway. The house is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. Our family of four plus dog were very comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the screened in porch was a great space for relaxing. The neighborhood is great for dog walking. We were in town to visit NC State, and the house is just a few miles away from campus, as well as great restaurants and shopping. Thanks for a great stay at this wonderful property!
