The location was great. Dino, the manager, was super friendly and helpful. The bathrooms in the property need improvement.( especially for a senior citizen).
This was a great beach cottage just steps from the shore and on the beach side of Gulf Blvd. The host is local and helped us in minutes with any concern we had (and granted, we really didnât have any beyond locking ourselves out once :) ) We loved this experience and think this was a great stay and a fabulous host! Thanks so much for letting us share the sunshine and shore!
Mgr accessible in person if needed. Beach is really just steps away. Chairs outside front door for seating plus portable beach chairs. Fast response to queries via messaging. Cute mermaid theme. Wonderful area for food of all kinds. Master bed was great.
My husband and I stayed here for an anniversary trip and it met or exceeded all of our expectations. This sweet little beach cottage was very comfortable for two with a comfortable king bed and private bathroom in the primary suite, but could have stayed several more with the bunks, a futon, and another half bath. The cottage was very clean, and I am quite picky about cleanliness when we travel. The beach was just steps away and in the cottage was everything we could have wanted including a cooler, a wagon, beach chairs, beach towels, and even frozen cooler packs in the freezer ready to go! Management was easy to get ahold of, quick to respond, and exceedingly friendly. A great experience all around! We go to Indian Shores at least twice a year and would definitely stay here again.
We couldnât have enjoyed our time more. Although our first time attending Phillies Spring training did not go as planned due to the lockout. This cute bungalow just steps from the beach was exactly what we needed to rest and relax. Make sure you make time to view the sunset each night, which is amazing. We also took a walk to play mini golf (where you could feed alligators) and across the street DJâs clam shack is a canât miss place for a meal. This property meets the top three requirements for a great vacation spot; location, location, location. Not to mention the perfect shore decor. Friends who stopped by to visit fell in love at first site. I expect this to be a sought after property on Vrbo as those who stay there like we did will want to return again and again! Special thanks to Dino for attention to detail with our stay and extremely prompt responsiveness to any questions or needs we had.
We enjoyed our stay at this traditional Fl beach house. It is a cinder block that has been nicely decorated with quality furniture and comfortable beds. You can't see the water out the windows, but it's right there! No crossing the street or taking elevators, just walk out the door, turn left, and walk over a short boardwalk. Made it easy to catch every sunset and sunrise. We were concerned that there isn't any designated parking, but we always got a spot right in front of the house, even though it was a busy season. There is also plenty of free public parking across the street for any visitors.
We had a relaxing time hanging out at the beach and seeing the local sites.
Adorable little house steps away from beach. Plenty of parking for friends and family. Very comfortable decor. Easily slept 6 . Restaurants and bars all in walking distance.
Dino the property manager greeted us , extremely friendly. If we had questions she immediately responded. We even asked if we could stay an additional night. She approved updated in the app it was so easy. Loved it so much a few already rented it for week of Christmas. Price is extremely affordable for beach front property.
I live in Tampa and this will be my go to beach get away.
Buying my dream cottage in Indian Shores was absolutely fate! After working close to 3 decades in the real estate industry as a Broker in Maryland and Delaware, it was my dream to buy a place in Florida. I had never ventured to the West Coast as I always vacationed on the East Coast of Florida, actually going to College there. But I found this GEM online and instantly connected with the owner that had owed it for 26 years prior to me. I went down for "5 days" to look at it (as I signed a contract site unseen) and the owner gave me 3 days to come view it! Needless to say, I feel in love with the town, the location and saw the charm waiting to be revitalized in the cottage. I hope to one day be able to spend the majority of my winters there, but for now, I share this amazing bungalow with you.....Welcome to We Mermaid For The Beach Indian Shores, Florida.
Once I took a look, I knew I wanted it. The owner was kind enough to let me stay there as it was April and everything was booked and I had to settle 7 days later. The bad news was, I drove 15 and a half hours alone and lets just say, the cottage needed some work! In a panic I called an ex-boyfriend who I had remained great friends with and basically begged him to let me fly him down to come help me rehab the cottage. He reluctantly flew down the next day. My boyfriend at the time was home sick so even though the two of them knew each other and were both friends, I didn't think it was the time to tell him that I flew my ex down (as he is a retired builder). So anyway, we went to work but made time to enjoy the beach and get to know the amazing people who regularly hang at this street. After about a month, my boyfriend was feeling better and said, "I am coming down, TODAY". So needless to say I had to tell him what I had done and even though this is kind of humorous, we really were just working non-stop to make the cottage into what I envisioned it to be, he wasn't thrilled but he saw the transformation and understood. Once my boyfriend arrived then the three of us spent another month finishing up the work . Needless to say my new local beach friends were like...."okay then...so one is your ex and one is your boyfriend??? And the answer was simply YES!. So after everyone in my family and my business thought I was never returning (as I had said 5 days) I went home 2 months later and left my dream cottage behind for all to enjoy. I loved the experience so much that I now have rentals by the same title in Ocean City, Maryland Berlin, Maryland and spring of 2023 Ocean Pines Maryland
I love the fact that this is a rustic 1947 beach cottage. I didn't want to change it's charm and make it modern but it needed a lot of work. To be so close to the beach and one of the best bars in town The Dog and Parrot, not to mention numerous restaurants like DJ's Clam Shack and Aloha Hawaiian Barbeque, and many many more, its just perfect! Now there is even a coffee and breakfast spot across the street so you can walk to all these things. When I am there visiting, I literally sit on the beach from 9:30 a. m. until the sunsets, then I either walk across the street for a bite to eat or venture to Crabby Bills in Indian Rocks to hear some live music with my friend an co-host that lives next door. Some of my other favorite places are Salt Rock, VIP Mexican, Villa Gallace Italian, The Reef Bar & Grill in Redington Shores and just too many more to mention. I know once you visit this charming beach town, you will always want to return. And I hope you will return to my cottage as well. Remember "Always be yourself, unless you can be a mermaid, then always be a Mermaid"
