The cabin was perfect in size, cleanliness, furnishings and location. Some issues: We were unable to turn on the t.v.'s even after carefully following the instructions. There is no Wifi either. Lighting throughout is extremely dim making it impossible to read. I definitely would recommend this beautiful cabin.
The cabin was in a secluded spot surrounded by evergreens just as I had hoped. Views from all of the windows were lovely. The kitchen had a microwave and a cool induction stove. The woodwork all over inside the cabin was beautiful and made it feel very different from a regular home. The interior decorations and furniture, including several neat lamps, were lovely. All the switches and remotes are clearly labeled. The wood stove was warm and fun to figure out. Unfortunately there is no table to sit at inside- just a very low counter in the kitchen with only 2 awkward stools. Getting up to the cabin from the driveway was difficult because of the makeshift stone steps with no railing and low lighting. I felt lucky every time I got up or down it without falling :). The inside flooring is beautiful clay tile and wood but uneven with some trip and slip hazards. The spiral staircase up to the loft bedroom was an adventure as well with very narrow, triangular treads, but it was worth the journey up the stairs to sleep under such a cool ceiling with exposed rafters on an old-fashioned metal bed and have the use of the powder bathroom up there. I hope we followed all of the many check-out directions correctly and donât incur any additional charges. It was quite stressful the morning we left, making sure weâd cleaned all the floors and washed and put away all the dishes, and dealt with wet towels, and secured the trash. Overall, the Spruce Chalet was worth the stress.
We had a relaxing and enjoyable time in the house. The kitchen, in particular, was well supplied with equipment for meals. The outdoor deck with table and umbrella were perfect for the warm days.
Well organized. Clean, easy instructions. Great location for what we wanted (off-roading).
Only suggestion would be more interior lighting. No big deal.
The cabin was lovely, the deck was so great to sit on, and our dogs loved it! There was so amazing hiking and views all around and Alma is the cutest town with everything you need. Itâs clean and spacious. We did have to work a little and were fairly surprised it didnât have internet/wifi. We just assumed it would, but looking back it never said it would. Overall, itâs a wonderful place!
Property was as described and good for our family. Unfortunately we were snowed in, and left a day early when we got a chance to get out. Could use a bit more prep in winter months of ax accessible and smaller pieces of wood available. Indoor wood stove was great overall. House was warm and never lost power. Cooked meals easily. Our dog could slip through the decking, so that was a bit stressful during a blizzard, but she enjoyed it. :) Master bed comfy and warm. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!
My stay at the Spruce Chalet was a very pleasant part of my Rocky Mountain Summer. The cabin was set back in the spruce trees with lots of deck room for eating outdoors or just relaxing and enjoying the fresh, cool air. Inside the cabin was typical mountain decor with a wood burning stove that knocked the night chill off. Beds were comfy and blankets were warm. Everything was just perfect.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The deck was such a nice place to relax and watch hummingbirds. The cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We look forward to coming back!
This cabin was perfect for our family. Truly in the mountains but not too far from skiing and restaurants. Dog friendly is a plus. Patio is gated which makes spending time on the porch with your dog worry free. Very clean cabin and nicely decorated. My only complaint is that the cabin is very dark inside at night with all interior lights on. .on the flip side, star gazing outside the cabin at night is absolutely phenomenal!
This was the nicest cabin we ever stayed in!
Property manager was super responsive.
The deck is wonderful. Don't need to hike, you are already among the trees! Very quiet.
Note that there is no internet. Which made it a challenge for us to plot our next stop.
Nice retreat location and nice cabin. The property manager brought in a microwave, but should have been furnished already. Plus no cable/satellite service. There were four of us and only four towels for four days. Could have been stocked better! Plus washing machine wasnât working! But a fun time with family riding side by side on the trails!
we had an amazing time at this VRBO! The cabin is cozy and in a good location. Would recommend using a large vehicle as the driveway was snowed in and we could not drive up it.
Was a great experience! Great location! And very sweet manager!
The manager answered all questions in a timely manner! The house was clean and very nice! Great location it was private and we werenât too close to others! It was only a little drive to any town! We went to brekenridge 2 days in a row but the drive was not far at all! Had an amazing time!
