Just another few miles up the road, find Kite Lake nestled into the high valley, where you can use the Kite Lake Trailhead to access Mt. Democrat, Mt. Cameron, Mt. Lincoln and more!
This beautiful, and secluded two story home features classic mountain cabin decor, modern amenities, a lovely billiard table and large windows filled with Woodland and Mountain vistas.
The Ground Floor:
*Covered front porch - with 2 large Adirondack chairs, facing beautiful mountain views.
*Large mudroom - plenty of storage for outdoor adventure gear!
*Open-concept living and dining area - with cozy couches centered around a soapstone woodstove, a smart tv, sound system, the billiard table, and a central dining table with comfortable seating for 4.

*Explore over 8 acres of heavily wooded property adjacent to national Forest - perfect for hiking right from the home, fishing, cross country skiing, sledding and snowshoeing.
*The property includes a lively creek, which you will cross over during your drive to the home.

* Guests are required to have a four-wheel drive vehicle with adequate snow tires or chains during the winter months from November through May. The area is subject to frequent unpredictable and adverse weather conditions which can make travel difficult.
* This home is located in a rural high alpine mountain environment where wildlife, insects and rodents may be encountered. The home is also equipped with a well water system and may have variability in taste, smell or mineral content based on time of year and usage.
* Guests will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement after booking.
* Entry door monitors are in use at this property, and may be used to verify guest use.
* This home is pet friendly. We charge a $50 fee for each pet, and all pets must be approved. This fee is not included in the quoted rate, and will be charged after the booking is confirmed or the day of arrival on the reservation.*The garage is locked off for homeowner use only, and is not available to guests.
*There are the remains of an abandoned historical structure downhill from the home, which should be avoided due to tripping hazards and other dangerous walking conditions.
*Lightly frozen surfaces and often hidden precarious hiking conditions may be present around the creek during the winter season, adventure to this area at your own risk.
