Old metal barn, redeemed and converted into an astonishing custom interior. The natural smell of raw Cedar, Spruce, and Oak are all you need to relax and drift into another world. Enjoy the deer, birds and nature around you. Private gate. This upstairs loft gives you an amazing view 20 feet above the property to best enjoy the beautiful sunrises.
Note: There are 26 metal steps leading up to the cabin. This may be challenging to some seniors, small children & pets.
We are about a mile from Heartlight

This is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The wooded property and outdoor decks are great. The indoors are well kept and comfortable. We watched deers jumping over the fence. What a joy. It's a wonderful get away.

A cozy space surrounded by trees and a peaceful quiet, yet easy to get to local restaurants and conveniences. It’s nice to be high up and relax on the large porch - just great!

After getting settled inside the Hay Loft it was an immediate message to the owner to advise them that the property had already exceeded expectations!!! Much time and use of the loft deck

Great dog-friendly place to stay. It was well marked and easy to find. They did a great job with the rustic Texas themed decor and details. We loved it!

Easy to find and we’re new to the area. This place is so very peaceful and relaxing. We’re older, so the stairs, we knew would be a lot. There are steep and I believe 24 steps. Thankful the handrails helped a lot. The views from any and every angle are just beautiful. A/C works great. Cable, internet and communication were great. Bed was comfy. Our main complaint was pulling duty dish, flatware and glasses/cups from the cabinets (with mice feces)
. We had to wash more than we used just to be safe. By previous guests, had to be the only answer, left completely dirty dishes with food stuck on, in the cabinets. Or else the dishwasher is truly bad. Stuff was dirty and I understand we pay a cleaning fee, but cleaning is not a priority. The shower curtain needs a good wash with bleach, it’s pretty stained from various sources. I washed towels and left bleach behind for the next persons, or cleaners. Orders were very nice and they were informed about the dishes and grime. Fridge/microwave also needed cleaned. They apologized and I’m sure they don’t want a negative review and they aren’t getting one. We enjoyed our stay here. It’s serene and beautiful and a true relaxing getaway. Paper plates, disposable utility flat wear and cups would be great to have handy. Make things easier for everyone.

Longview in June

We came to Longview for weekend to see the balloon race. Our stay was so peaceful in the woods at the Hayloft. Close to town and easy to access from highway. Very comfortable and quiet. Loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the property. There is a climb with the stairs that can be a little difficult for some. Bring own amenities like bath soap and shampoo, everything else is there.

Genuinely Peaceful and Pleasant

Between the overall cleanliness of the entire property and the peaceful quiet that encompassed the property, we were in heaven! The host was excellent, both in communication and hospitality. The hayloft (and honestly the property as a whole) has such great character and is clearly given great care and attention to detail. I genuinely couldn’t recommend this place enough! Thank you Cheryl for being such a great host and for sharing your awesome neck of the woods with my family!

Quick but great visit

We needed a last minute place to stay with our pup to watch our son play baseball in Marshall. The Hayloft was perfect for us. Highly recommend!

Peaceful place to stay

It was very good. Quiet and peaceful. Enough parking for my 2 trucks and utility trailers. Beautiful patio. We will book again when we head back to Longview for work.

Host communicated very well! property has nice big yard and was well taken care of. Overall a well deserved 5 out of 5 star review. Will definitely put it in our list of places to repeat stay!

Secluded and peaceful

We loved our time at the hayloft and wish that we could’ve stayed longer. It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close enough at the same time. It had everything that we needed plus some. There were even Mardi Gras decorations!! We would absolutely come again. Cheryl is great to work with, also!

Great place!

My husband and I loved everything about the Hay Loft. It was a lovely place to stay for the holiday, as we celebrated with nearby family. It was decorated for Christmas, my favorite holiday. Each night, as we returned from visiting with family, we enjoyed playing cards together. There are many board games available, too, which is a nice touch.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

You will love this place. wooded, in the country, lots of walking trails, and really private and quiet. Also include is access to our private pond packed full of Bream, Catfish, and Bass. Fishing is catch and release. A map is provided to navigate the hiking trails.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Queen Bed in the Master room with sliding glass door out to the surrounding porch with 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. For more people you could use a provided air bed, but please understand it would take up a considerable amount of space.

If you enjoy the outside, there is a nice firepit and sitting area. No traffic noise, just the sounds of the crackling fire in the Firepit while you enjoy your evening refreshments.
