It was a nice place to stay Had a great view of the ocean. The pool is real nice and it's a good location. Nearby to restaurants and not far from boardwalk.

Great stay.

The place was clean and organized when we arrived. 4 of us originally rented the property, but 6 of us ended up staying. There was a perfect amount of space for us all. Right on the beach was so convenient, with an amazing view of almost all of Wildwood! Owner was cooperative and kind. I will definitely stay here again for a weekend

overpriced

This property is right on the water which was nice. It is rather rundown, and overpriced. For the week we were there, the owner charged 30% more than the Madrid ocean front resort which rents out the exact same rooms - daily cleaning included!! I would go back, but not to this owner's property.

Perfect location

This property was just as we expected it. Not the biggest or most glamorous rooms but the location couldn’t be better. It fit our needs perfectly. I would say if you have more than 4 in your group you might want to rent this owners joining room next door. Beautiful views of the beach as well as Moreys pier lit up at night and fireworks from wild wood were fully visible from our balcony. Balcony is not private. There is plenty of outdoor sitting areas and propane grills for use as well as a large well kept pool. Best of all is that a good portion of the walk down the beach is boarded in front of the building making the trip to the water that much easier. It’s in a quieter location which is also nice for families.

Location, location, location

The 5th floor view of the ocean is fantastic. Drank our morning coffee on the deck overlooking the sand and water. The condo was perfect for our needs. Two queen beds with comfortable mattresses, and a futon. I’m not sure I would publish this unit as sleeps 6, but you could if you really love your family/friends. Kitchen has basic tools for cooking-in, or you could grill on the patio next to the pool. You could purchase lunch/dinner from the Sun Dog cafe downstairs, which has surprisingly good food. Pizza place right next door. The condo building has a shower next to the beach so you can rinse off before heading back to your room. The pool was an awesome perk, and it shows that the people who live here full time care for their units and building. We just loved our stay and hope to be back.

Great location, communication with owner is lacking

The convivence of this location can't be argued with- you are right on the beach with a view from your front door to the ocean. The condo was similar in size so many of the hotels turned condos on the Crest. I stayed there with family (2 adults, 2 small kids) for a week. The place is lacking basic things- a dish rack for wet dishes, a dust pan to pick up the sand you track in, and there is not a lot of useable space to actually fit 4 people. Yes, you can sleep 4, but they don't have much room for all the stuff you need to bring. The kitchen has 1 small area that isn't a sink or oven, the fridge is not full size- these are things I didn't look carefully at when I booked, which is on me. My biggest issue is that the property manager was not communicative. We drove 4 hours to check in, getting there at 4:20, to find our room was not ready. No call, no text. We called and texted- never heard from him. To this day he has yet to acknowledge or credit us the 2+ hours we waited outside in the rain for our room to be ready. Besides that, things were not clear from George- we weren't told things we needed to bring until very last minute and only with me asking. We were told there would be 3 room keys, there was 1. Despite not hearing from him about the room delay, when I reached out to him about that, I quickly heard back to check the room more carefully etc. We paid over 3k for this place, which in talking to others down there was expensive. With any place you spend money, I'd expect it to come with some level of customer service- George did not offer that. The view and location you can't beat. A couple would probably do well in this place, not any more than 2 people. But, personally, I do not like to give that much money to someone that doesn't give a little bit of attention to make our stay enjoyable.

For the price, I expected much better

For the price, I expected much more. Unit is not updated; everything was very 80’s. TVs are analog, can't even watch them. Shower water pressure was low. I’ve very bad allergy to dust. Dust was everywhere. It looks like cleaning people just cleaned the bathroom and vacuumed. We found hair in the tub. Everything was dirty, sticky and dusty. We turned on the fan, and dust was everywhere. BBQs are in bad location. You can’t BBQ because of the wind. BBQ temperature is not going over 200 on windy day, which is every day. Pool is in front of the beach. Birds are pooping, and landing in the pool constantly. My kids didn’t want to go in because of the bird poops. The light in the unit was very dim. There was one 40W bulb in the dinning are. It’s cave dark in the unit. Beds are disaster. I still have back pain from sleeping on it. Couldn’t have good night sleep. Front door lock was challenging every day. Air-condition “on/off” button was broken. We had to unplug cord from the wall to turn it on/off. The whole complex is not well maintained. People didn’t know where to throw garbage bags. Everyday people were leaving garbage bags in the hallway by elevator. It was not pleasant smell on a hot day. Garbage containers were behind the building, but people didn't want to walk down to throw them in the container. For that price I stayed in much better Wildwood places. The only plus was the view from the unit, which I didn’t really care much as we were out all day. The restaurant in the complex was convenient and good if you want to grab something quick to eat. Overall, old not updated unit/complex.

great location - not great place to stay

The property owner acknowledged what needed to be fixed but did nothing about it while we were there. The property was somewhat clean, the futon did not close, so there was no place to move and it is small place. The place looked run down, the beds were uncomfortable and squeaked when you moved, the outside chairs were slightly ripped, the kitchen had a total of one coffee mug for 4 people. The view as beautiful, but we would not go back.

Nice vacation.

I will admit the room wasn’t exactly what I had pictured in my head when I first booked it but it was nice and was everything you need. You can’t find a better view. Check in is a breeze. The property owner is very very responsive, helpful, and accommodating. He even offered to allow us to use his name for discounts or special access around town if we wanted. The pool is nice and all of the other families there were very friendly. If you’re looking to get loud and party go north. If you’re looking for a nice relaxing vacation this is your place.

Labor Day Getaway

Very nice, well maintained units. Owner is very responsive. Could not be closer to the beach. The sand was like baby powder and the beach was not overly crowded, even on Labor Day weekend.

Good Experience

Excellent location and view! Cannot get closer to beach than this.....breakfast and lunch diner right in same building near the pool, and grills available for your own cooking. Pizza place right next door. Close to shopping, restaurants and boardwalk...but far enough away from boardwalk to not have to deal with noise. We had a couple of days of rain but breweries and vineyards close by for a good time even if it rains.

Awesome Location and Views

This place has am awesome location and views and is in the good part of the wildwoods and not party town.It can get very busy down by the boardwalk so this is more of a beach get away. Im from up North and the beaches are much cleaner down here. I felt like is was in Virginia beach or the carolinas. There is plenty of space with the separate bedroom beds are comfortable. There ammenities were good and the kitchen and bathroom is new. Ive stayed at some other units where the bathrooms were old and scary. I had to work while i was there and Internet speed was good. AC worked well but you dont really need it with the shore breeze. We enjoyed the heated pool and our toddler had fun in the kiddie pool. My wife and i were able to relax on the balcony and enjoy evening cocktails. Everynight we used the poolside gas barbeque and were able to save money by not eating out as much. They also have a nice picnic area, benches, and lounge chairs to sun on. We made our own coffee in the unit but there is an Oceanfront Cafe that has breakfast and other meals to choose from. We brought our bikes so we were able to get around the entire island and cruise the boardwalk in the morning. We will definitely come back again in the fall/next year.

Great location, clean, and affordable!

We had a wonderful time at George's condo. It is on the top floor and is right on the beach. I loved the location because I could walk out my door right onto the beach for my morning run and watch the sunrise in the morning from the balcony. George was very quick to respond and I had no issues with payments or deposits. I have stayed at other oceanfront hotels in the area, and have paid over $400 per night for the same location and quality. This was a great deal and we are coming back soon!

Problem with the security deposit refund

Pay attention because you may have some difficulties to get your security deposit refund. We rented in august and still with my credit card (we are now in january 2017) supplier trying to cancel the transaction for the security deposit. It is not finalized yet!! The clim was also a problem in one of the two units but since we rented both and considering they are connected, it was not so bad. We are interested to rent in the same building this year but will deal with the Madrid management in order to avoid any problem. The management do not take care of this unit so if you have any problem during your stay, they cannot help you....

Dishonest owner

Beware - this owner is dishonest!! I contacted him several times asking to get the security deposit back and never heard back. I had to call my credit card in order to get the money back. The location is good but I do not recommend this place for families with small children because the (shared) balcony is used mostly by smokers. Also (as also noted by another reviewer) the AC in the unit we rented practically didn't work (not much cold air coming off) and we ended up leaving after 2 nights, even though we rented for 3 nights, because it was so hot that we couldn't sleep.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix

Nous avons trouvé ce condo à la dernière minute. Nous avons eu un bon service du propriétaire. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à destination, nous trouvions que le bâtiment manquait d'amour. Nous avions une petite inquiétude. Mes craintes se sont rapidement dissipés. L'endroit était propre. Arrivés au condo, avec cette vue sur la mer, nous sommes tombés en mode vacances rapidement. Belle surprise d'avoir deux chaises de plage supplémentaire et une pelle pour les enfants. Mes hommes ont beaucoup apprécié le Wednesday Hot Dog et la distribution de melon d'eau sur le bord de la piscine. Des petites attentions qui se prennent avec plaisir.

Wouldn't recommend!

I trusted this man who can really tell you what you want to hear and as a working family every penny counts. This man does not communicate well with you once he receives your money. While the property was okay, there was not hot water because he had it fixed to be low. (maintenance man agreed) and tried to call owner, Air conditioner did not work. I left this place immaculate when I left and pictures to prove it and was not given deposit back. Tried contacting him by phone and by email and he would not response. Spend your money some where else.

Fantastic vacation on the beach!

We stayed for a week in early July 2014 and rented both units for four adults and 3 kids. It was just right and the location is fantastic. Down the stairs and we are on the beach and the pool- come in for a quick drink, rest and go out again. Do it all week long. The convenience and experience was great. Will rent this place again. And George was very responsive and helpful.

Great week in spite of Irene

We rented this condo for the last week of august 2011 and we had a wonderful time. The location is fantastic. You can sip your coffee on the fifth floor balcony while watching the kids play in the sand. The place is clean and fonctionnal. The beach is huge and the water was very nice while we were there. We highly recommand it for families, the kids will love it

Property has one of the impressive views of the ocean that we have ever stayed at.

This property by far has one of the impressive views of the ocean that we have ever stayed at. We have stayed at other oceanfront units that cost us twice as much with not nearly as good of a location and experience. We plan to rent this unit again because we had such a good experience! When we weren't at the beach, which was steps away, we were at the pool. It was very pleasant experience and provided a great time for us and our family. I hope that you find this review helpful. I cannot say enough about this beautiful property and I guarantee that you will be "wowed" with the price, property and location!

Million Dollar View and Location At a Very Affordable Price

We came all the way from Canada to stay at this property for a wonderful week. The condo is lovely (just as pictured), spotless, and has everything you could want. The view from the living room is awesome. The pool is right on the beach and is extremely well maintained. There are also gas grills that we used every day to do cook-outs while the kids played on the beach. The owner was great to deal with and made everything very easy. We look forward to another stay here.

Great Views, Location, Quality, Value and Memories

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend at Easter. It was very quite and we had the place to ourselves for a romantic get away. We have gone to Cape May for over 15 years but we hope to come back to your condo for vacation this summer. We have stayed at several places in the Crest but your place by far has the best view of the Ocean that we have seen. The unit was neat, clean, and well decorated as advertised.

Wildwood Crest is a great place to stay because the beach is one of the nicest, safe, cleanest, family friendly, on the New Jersey coast. Also, Wildwood which is 10 minutes away has the largest oceanfront amusements in the country. Lastly, your are 10 minutes from Historic Cape May and 30 minutes from Atlantic City. Why go to Florida when you can have fun close to home and save on airfare for the whole family!
