Adirondack 2 Bedroom Condo, 5 minute walk to Downtown Lake Placid

This Adirondack Style condo is close to downtown, Lake Placid and Mirror Lake. 2 bedrooms with Queen Size beds and full bath make this condo ideal for a family of four or two couples. A fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room all fully appointed with custom built Adirondack furnishings make your stay in the Adirondacks extra special. 1/4 mile walk to all downtown dining and lakes. 20 minutes from Whiteface, Mt Van Hovenberg for some of the best skiing and cross country skiing.

We purchased our condo in July and have completely repainted and recarpeted the unit and worked with an interior designer to to make it cozy and functional with all new furnishings and decorations. In addition we replaced the washer/dryer and replaced one of the mattresses with a "plush" one from Simmons.

Downstairs the kitchen has all stainless steel appliances, hickory cabinets and all the cookware and utensils you could need to cook in. The kitchen table is also new and features hickory, walnut, birch and twig construction. The living room features a native granite gas fireplace, new 40” smart TV, all new high end Old Hickory furniture that yields comfortable seating for 5 people. Just off the kitchen you’ll find a stackable washer/dryer and renovated 1/2 bath.

Upstairs you’ll find two cozy bedrooms each with custom made hickory queen beds and ADK furnishings together with a full bath featuring a jetted tub and shower with hickory accents and a double vanity sink with birch and hickory accented mirror.

The condo is located in the Hillcrest neighborhood, is a municipality approved short term rental, and is a short 5 minute walk to town by cutting thru Kiwanis Teddy Bear Park and all the restaurants and shopping Lake Placid has to offer.

We truly hope you’ll choose to rent with us and enjoy one of our most favorites relaxing places to visit and experience all the Adirondacks has to offer.

What a great place to stay while exploring the adirondacks. The condo was the perfect size and layout for our family of four. A short walk takes you to mirror lake and the downtown area with shops and restaurants. On site parking was convenient. Will stay again!

Our stay at the condo was excellent. The place is very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The location is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and is only a five minute walk to Main Street where you can enjoy shops, dining, and the lake. The kitchen was well appointed with dishes, appliances, and cookware.The owners were responsive, friendly, and the check-in process was seamless! Note that only the upstairs is air conditioned. This is not uncommon in Lake Placid, but thought I would point it out in case this would be an area of concern. It did get a bit warm on the first floor, but there were fans available to help could down. Overall, a great stay, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lake Placid!

We had a wonderful stay at Sleepy Bear. Beth and Sean were quick to respond to any questions. The condo is immaculate and had everything we needed for a great time in Lake Placid.

Great place, great location

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo & the location was fantastic. I was there with my husband and daughter, who both ski, so they had an easy 15 minute ride to Whiteface Mountain. It was a 5 minute walk into town with lots of shops and restaurants (beautifully decorated for the holidays). Mirror Lake is 2.7 miles around and sidewalks were cleared for walking/running. The condo was really welcoming and had great Adirondack style with lots of little touches. It was really comfortable & clean, and had everything we needed. The gas fireplace was so nice to have (and easy to use). Parking, check in and check out instructions were really easy. We hope to be back again!

Great cozy getaway

The check in was smooth and easy. Parking out front of the unit was convenient. Location was great as it was close enough to town to walk or very short drive. We stayed a long weekend with a toddler and having the convenience of a park and playground down the street was a plus. The unit was clean and cozy. The unit seemed to be updated while still having an Adirondack rustic charm. We enjoyed our time there and if ever in town again, would love to stay again.

Lake Placid condo

Our vacation in Lake Placid was great. The 2 bedroom condo was in a great location just a short walk to the main street in town, close to restaurants and shopping, and less than a mile to the Olympic Museum. The condo was very well appointed and very comfortable for our stay in Lake Placid.

Amazing ADK Landing Pad

The location of this place was incredible - 2 minute walk to Main Street and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The unit is so clean, cozy and has everything you'll need in the kitchen! We absolutely loved sitting out on the front porch after a long hike. Will be back!

Perfect Placid weekend

If you’re looking for a fun weekend getaway this is the place to stay. Everything was very clean and check in was so easy. We felt very comfortable and cozy. The condo was also very close to town just up the road and you can go enjoy a walk to the USA Hockey store and ice cream !

Can’t wait to come back to Sleepy Bear Lodge!

Sean and Beth were premier hostesses! They were easy to communicate with not to mention the fact that their home was pristine! It truly was a home away from home, full of all the amenities and extremely cozy and welcoming! And did I mention the location??? It was central to everything, a quick walk to downtown and Mirror Lake. We cannot recommend this property enough!

Our Engineer Son Austin Florian is also 2x National Champion of the US Skeleton team, and a 3 season veteran of the IBSF World Cup Tour. Look for his photography artwork around the condo. Our Daughter Erika is a Nurse, Avid Flyfisherman, Rock climber, and ski coach. A long time ski racing family, the Florian's all know their way around the ski hill.
