Located on a private and quiet open water lot, this charming cottage offers a wonderful view even to those people who do not want to go outside. While sitting inside or lazing out on a lounger, the tranquility and beauty of the tropics are yours.

Fabulous open water from 35 foot seawall with dock posts, cleats and fish cleaning table, and swim ladder. Cook your catch on the outdoor grill or eat inside still enjoying the relaxing ocean view from the bright great room facing the canal. Kitchen has beautiful wood cabinets and breakfast bar.

The Master bedroom has large mirrored closet, built-in drawers. The comfy guest bedroom has a full closet, bureau and twin beds. Both rooms are equipped with cable TV.

40” flat-screen TV placed for convenient viewing from living and dining area. New tile flooring throughout this home, Washer/ Dryer, Central Air provided for comfort and relaxation.

Venture Out Resort is a quiet little secret located just 20 miles from Key West, and is a water-lover’s dream! This 64-acre condominium resort was created to put the ocean right at your backdoor. We are located on Kemp Channel, which is one of the most accessible boating channels to both the beautiful back country, as well as a quick, ten-minute ride to the open Atlantic and it’s coral reefs, including the world-famous Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary

Venture Out is a gated community. There are an abundance of amenities, including an 80' olympic-sized, heated pool, which is located ocean-side, with a separate kiddie pool; saltwater swimming/snorkeling area adjacent to the pool; and a newly remodeled bath house.

The marina has two boat ramps, a fuel dock, and a convenience store, which is open seven days a week. The store has everything from beer and wine, to bait, ice, fishing licenses, milk, bread, cheese, snacks, and more! There are two tennis courts, which are lighted at night, a Bocce ball court, basketball court, and shuffleboard area. The Recreation Hall has dart boards, a ping pong table, and a billiard table, as well as a self-checkout library.

Absolutely Incredible!!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful rental in Cudjoe Key! The house was incredibly cozy, clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed — from kitchen essentials to beach gear. It truly felt like a home away from home.What really made our trip unforgettable was the stunning view. Waking up to those peaceful water views every morning was a dream. The community was just as impressive — so many great amenities that kept the whole family entertained, from the pool and marina to the clubhouse and more.We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are already looking forward to our next stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly escape in the Keys!

Love the view

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage in the Keys. The view was absolutely beautiful, and the property had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. Robin was always very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We also enjoyed using the community pool, which was clean and well-maintained. Having a security guard at the entrance made the property feel very safe. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely come back!

Nice quiet place on the water with a central location

Overall the place is a fantastic little home in a quiet area on the water. We had just enough room and simple features that were great for our four person family. The pool area was fantastic and the location was great for travel to many different areas of the FL Keys for adventures.

On the Water

This is a comfortable and homey place. We were very happy with everything it had to offer. We loved the secure, gated community entry. Everyone on property was super friendly and we appreciated the little market on site. This place is close to some great restaurants and a very easy drive into Key West. There is tons of stuff to do there. I especially liked the kitchen in this house. The living area was very functional and I loved the cookware! If you like the water, this is the place for you. We never got tired of our view. Thank you for a great stay! I loved the decorating and orange touches in the house. We would definitely stay here again. Additonally, this property is close to a commissary if you are in the military or retired, as we are.

The floor was sticky and dirty. Dishwasher was hard to get started. The grill outside is just not right…couldn’t even grill anything…falling apart. I just feel for the amount of money that was spent for this place I would’ve thought it would of been better

Nice location

Had a nice time! Very relaxing. Location was beautiful. Place was a little worn-out needs updating. Could have better essentials such as soap and toilet paper. Bikes were not in great shape. The park was very nice and had everything for elderly people.

We really enjoyed our stay at Miles Away. It was very well described and Robin was very helpful in her information and suggestions. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises every morning right on her dock. It is very well situated to be able to visit Key West, Bahia Honda State Park and other nearby Keys. We truly loved our stay here.

Keys Trip

Property is right on the water so if you like to fish, this is the right place. Caught several snapper during our first couple of days. Two kayaks available but never had the chance to use them due to weather conditions. No fault to the property owner, just normal conditions during hurricane season in the keys. Property is what we expected. Couple of minor complaints. The propane tank was empty on our first night with no replacement tank. Had to borrow a propane tank from a neighbor property. Toilet seat was extremely loose. Fixed the problem myself by tightening the seat. This should be inspected and completed by the property manager. We had everything we needed during our stay. Just wish the Venture Out resort had a better system in place to utilize the recreation center. Had to place a deposit or leave a driver's license at the security shack just to play pool in order to receive the key that contained the equipment needed. Then had to go back to the security shack to get ping pong equipment and to receive our deposit back. Probably won't make it back to the Keys again but I would recommend.

Hurricane couldn’t even make it bad!

Highly Recommend!! Communication with owners was great and pleasant. Perfect location.. very nice setting. Was able to fish right in front of the house. House was comfortable and had everything needed for a weeks stay. Hurricane Milton hit the night before we were suppose to leave.. the property owner could not have been anymore accommodating in the situation.

Little Slice of Heaven

Perfect spot for our 4th trip down to the Keys on our 28th anniversary! This was a great spot for us being about equal distance between both Key West & Marathon which we enjoy doing activities in both spots. Was great to be able to dive right in to the canal and snorkel a bit right there which we did one day. Host was super responsive and accommodating. Had everything we needed! Will definitely be back!

Paradise in the keys

Beautiful cottage everything you need for a long stay. Huge dockage for boats, nice parking right outside your door. We came down to show off the Key Deer and Iguanas. It was a rainy week so we did the area attractions and went to Key West when we knew had some rain free time. My granddaughter loved it. We fished off the deck outside of the cottage. They have nice size kayaks and 4 bike for your use. We did a little fishing with her ( they have rods and all the extras. Bait is sold in the grocery store but keep it on ice outside. Granddaughter caught about 3 fish so we put a bobber on the last drop (used the kids pole like a cane rod but the barracuda took line and bobber. Watching him circle the bait it looked like the movie JAWS with the fish diving and bobber disappeared. If you have children do the deer key ranger station, they can become a junior ranger and get a wooden ranger pin. Key west was fun with all the food and we explored the butterfly museum (small charge for that but was the best part because the butterflies we everywhere. Blue Heaven was as good as usual. Love the pancakes. Campground staff was kind and helpful. The resort fee is worth it with all the activities they have. Don’t forget to go to No Name Pub..great eats and see the Key Deer. Have fun and escape

Perfect Location

The house was great with direct water access. We used the kayaks every day to explore the little islands and surrounding waterways. The house had all the essentials needed for cooking meals at home. We loved it!!

Perfect Getaway in the Florida Keys!

we recently stayed at this fantastic property and it was an incredible experience! The place was spotlessly clean and super comfortable, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The property was loaded with amenities – we had access to bikes, kayaks, life jackets, and plenty of beach towels. The well-stocked kitchen made it easy to whip up meals, which was a huge plus. The location was perfect, just a short drive to all the main attractions so that we could explore the Keys without any hassle. And the views? Breathtaking! The beds were so comfy that we slept like babies every night. Our host was fantastic, too, always quick to respond and very helpful with any questions. Overall, this place had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. We had such a great time that we’re already planning our next trip back. I highly recommend staying here if you’re heading to the Florida Keys!

I bought this cottage after my divorce and rented it until my kids graduated High School in Connecticut. Now it is my permanent residence and I mostly rent it in the winter months when I stay in St. Augustine or travel in my RV.
I used to camp in the Keys with my parents when I was a kid. I remember a lot of these canals being cut and actually drove over the old 7 mile bridge. Now my sisters and I have places here in Venture Out and it is our go-to destination to be with family and relax.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I like that Venture Out is a gated community that offers so many amenities. Being at MM23 also makes it an easy ride to get to Key West and all the action, but the property is so relaxing it's hard to pull yourself away.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Everyone has their favorite spots in Venture Out, but what I like about 162 is being at the end of a canal and having an open water view. I can watch all the boats coming in and out. It is an active wide canal and fun watching boaters heading in or out for the day.
If your bringing a boat it is an easy turnaround to dock on the wide canal and you don't have to deal with seaweed that can be traped at the end of the canal.
This cottage being my actual home brings me here often to check on things and keep the property well maintained and stocked with items I would actually be looking for.
