Our home is located right on the Straits of Mackinac. With scenic views of Mackinac Island, the Mackinac Bridge and the freighters passing, it is the most relaxing getaway. We are located just over a mile away from one of the ferry lines that take you to Mackinac Island and walking distance from the Lumber Jack show. We are right on the water so you have your own beach. The house also come with free access to a local waterpark and discounts to local restaurants.

The view from the cabin was stunning. It was peaceful. The bedrooms were nice and the kitchen and bathrooms. The sofa needs washing. The smell was really bad. The three season room had wonderful views. But the sliding doors and sliding screen doors barely worked to try and open. Definitely need maintenance or replacing Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. A very relaxing week.

Needs some updates inside and tree trimming on the outside. The half bath you can’t shut the door due to the washing machine. Overall, the property is in a great location. Bring water shoes if you want to go in the lake, very rocky, but beautiful.

The inside of the house was clean but not very well kept. The furniture was horrible and the bed was one of the worst I've slept on. The view was great and the location was great. It was nowhere near worth the price I paid though. The grass wasn't mowed and almost the entire outside had cob webs and spiders all over. Very disappointed considering the cost

The house is beautifully set on the lakeshore with beautiful views - with a small firepit for evening relaxing. We expected some lake initiated conditions but, even so, found the musty, mildew interior air to be a real challenge for my asthmatic lungs. A good airing out (and perhaps a Dehumidifier) could make a big difference in comfort and health. Although the house furnishings were adequate - with comfortable beds, it is an older home that could benefit from a bit of freshening/lightening up.*A note: the door to the half bath will not close completely due to placement of the washer/dryer units.

The view of Mackinac Bridge was amazing and the location was very secluded and close to Mackinac City. The property and home itself could have been cleaned better. The sunroom off the back of the house was very dusty and covered in webs. The pull out couch linens had not been changed from previous guests as there were crumbs on the sheets.

We booked this rental last minute and it did not disappoint. It was a rather hot day and the place doesn’t have AC but we opened the windows and that cooled the place down. We had a great visit but would have liked to have working screen doors on the sun room to get a good breeze from the lake. Also, the powder room door does not close as the washing machine prevents it.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The house was very clean, the views of the water were beautiful, and the location was excellent—close to many attractions while still feeling peaceful. The bedrooms were comfortable.That said, the home is in need of some updates. The lack of ceiling fans in the living room and dining room made the afternoons and evenings quite warm, with very little air circulation. The living room couch appears to be very old and was uncomfortable to sit/sleep on. The sunroom could also use some attention, as several window screens were broken and leaked rain even with doors closed. The landscaping would benefit from weeding and general maintenance as well.With a few upgrades and some routine maintenance, this could be an outstanding vacation rental because the location and views are truly hard to beat.

Clean. Beautiful location with Lake Michigan out the back door. The temp went down to 32 and we messaged the host around 6 in the afternoon to ask about heat as we had none working. We never got a response so was very cold at night. There were also no fire alarms.

The pros of this property was the view loved them great views of the bridge. I did not know the property didn’t have air conditioning but that was my fault. It did have ceiling fans but it could have used a box fan for the living room thank god it was a cool couple of days. When we got there there were 5 bags of trash in the garage and it stunk and had bugs in it but when I contacted the owner Jodi she had a handyman come and remove them within 20 minutes of us being there and after opening the windows the smell finally went away.All in all the property could use some updates the stove, couch and chairs outside and some new screens for the screen doors because some of them were cut or didn’t fit but it was quiet and had more than enough linens and towels so it wasn’t terrible. Would I stay there again probably not. What I would say is make sure your handyman is on top of the garbage because that killed it for sure had that not been the first thing we encountered I would probably stay again but for us that want the case and that’s a shame because the view was one of the best for sure.

The view from this house is absolutely beautiful! Watching the bridge light up at night was pretty darn amazing and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped with plenty of plates, silverware, and utensils, and the beds were clean and pretty comfortable.There were a few things that I think need some attention. The check-in instructions were confusing—the only information provided was the keypad code. I walked around the house twice looking for the “magical” keypad before realizing it was inside the garage door leading into the house. A little more detail would have helped.The chairs around the fire pit were also very unstable. One completely gave out when we sat down, leaving us on the ground! They appear to be several years old and definitely need to be replaced. The stove knobs could also use an update, as most of the temperature markings are completely rubbed off, making it a guessing game when cooking.Lastly, while I chose the house knowing the price, I was surprised by the condition given that it was 495 for one night. I’m normally someone who gives nearly 5-star reviews because I feel properties are usually priced appropriately for what you get. This place has an incredible view and a lot of potential, but at this price point, I expected a bit more upkeep.

Do not rent this property. I had to contact the host to get the entrance code. The cleaner was still there but the house was clean. The tv didn’t work, one mirror in the bathroom was missing, the furnace didn’t work and you couldn’t open the sliders on the porch because the screens were too small for the openings. They did fix the tv and bring a space heater but we did not stay the night. After reading the reviews,I should have heeded them. Don’t be fooled thinking they will improve this property after reading the reviews. Again, don’t rent this property.

The house was great and perfect location and beautiful views. The only thing there was no air conditioning and we stayed in August so it was a bit warm (hot). Over all great experience and a wonderful neighbor.

Wonderful place right on lake heron. Our dogs love the opportunity to stretch their legs a bit. Porch has sliding doors so we opened them up to hear the waves.
